Great value for a quality product. Very easy to install, although the directions are very busy. I suggest watching the video from Jonhson which is accessible on YouTube.

Amazing product, worth every penny

Nice kit but pieces missing

I can’t stand when something is damaged in shipping and pieces fall out of the shipping container. What’s more, I can’t stand when companies make it difficult to get replacement pieces in that scenario. One of the pocket door kits I ordered was poorly package and damage during shipping. Is it the shippers fault? Yes. But it’s also the manufacturers responsibility to package well, and this was not. They seemed willing to provide the missing pieces ( two brakets that are a couple bucks each) but required more documentation than my time was worth. I just ordered the stupid things and paid twice as much in shipping so I could get my project wrapped up.

Wrong item

Order soft close option but did not receive the soft close hardware when delivered. Called to resolve but never heard back about a solution.

Very complete kit. The Johnson Hardware website was very helpful for ordering latches and other hardware to use for the installation. I was also able to download extra sets of instructions.

One of the best hardware sets for pocket doors. Love the soft close/soft open. Very straight forward installation. These are pretty much all we use for pocket doors.

We love these and use them for all of our renovations!

Directions a little difficult to follow, recommend youtube, but very easy to install. Great product, great price, only way to do a project like this.

Do not stand by warranty

The soft open component broke. I ordered the replacement on my own dime before I took apart the door to get proof so my bathroom door was not off the tracks for a long time. Indeed the spring was no longer present and the piston appeared broken. I replaced it. It worked for 2 days and again was not working. I called asked them to replace the 50 dollar part, they refused. The door weight is within limits. They indicate the warranty only applies if it does not work when it is first installed.

Terrible

Do not stand by the warranty. One customer service agent was very rude and unhelpful. Very difficult to remove the door and reattach. Worked for a few months only. Would never buy this again. Cheaper versions were better.

Very easy . 3 rd one I installed. Very easy to adjust height if you have an odd size door. If I was a builder or do it yourself homeowner I’d only purchase this pocket door frame.

Soft close stopped working

Just about two years after installation the soft close mechanism stopped working when closing the door and now it actually speeds up when closing and slams the door. The soft open mechanism still functions correctly.

This pocket door was very easy to install. I would recommend viewing the Johnson Hardware install videos. Great kit and the soft open/close is great! Tip: Careful using hollow core doors as the screws will tend to pull out over time. Had to change to a solid wood door and now perfect!

Overall great product, once i figured out the poor instructions, it was easy enough and did the job well. Ended up watching some youtube videos to decipher the dimensions that matter and how to install these
