Easy install. Prompt delivery. Water heated as expected. No issues at all.
We have had earlier versions of this product for years and recently purchased a replacement. This poorly made Chinese manufactured unit is defective out of the box. The copper water line does not fit long-standardized American pressure fittings. The unit cannot be installed without manually shaving the copper to a smaller outside diameter. While at Home Depot trying to sort this out (e.g., might it be a metric diameter?), another customer was having the same problem with a “standardized” PVC pipe. Build American, buy American!
Replaced an old one. Reliable. My ca Origen kitchen appliance!
This is the third instant hot water dispenser we have purchased and we had to use parts from the old one to install the new one. Makes great instant hot water, but had to replace the last one; because, the faucet would not turn off.
We had our first instant hot for over 30 years with no problem so when it started leaking our plumber said we needed to replace it. We really like our updated one - fits under our sink in a better position, and the upper dispenser is stylish. Looking forward to having our new appliance outliving us!
Our first Insinkerator lasted over 15 years. It's dependable, convenient and looks great on our granite countertop.
I spoke to a sales specialist when I made this purchase. He assured me that the dispenser was stainless steel and that it would match the faucet I purchased. The dispenser arrived today and has a chrome finish. Very disappointing!!!!
Love my InSinkErator hot water dispenser!... I've been using them for over 30 years and love it!
Do not waste your money - 3rd unit just failed!
We have just had our third one of these burn out and have now removed the unit and will not buy number 4 as they appear to be designed to get just through the warranty period. I would definitely say that these are far inferior to the ones they have in Europe and are not worth the money. Going back to a kettle.
We had a plumber install both items. They are working perfectly and provide wonderful instant hot water whenever needed.
Works Well, Built Well
This is our third Insinkerator Instant Hot Water Dispenser over 30 years, so average life seems to be about 15 years. The first one's tank rusted. The second one had a stainless steel tank and lasted longer but the handle broke off and apparently can't be replaced. Support was easily available even if it just confirmed it's not repairable.
Like everything, easy to twist, good looking, got installed easily, good produck
Strong plastic odor / taste
Strong plastic like plastic. I only noticed after letting water cool down and then it was a terrible surprise. For months I've been making coffee with water that I would normally spit out.
We have had at least five or six of the insinkerator hot water dispensers over the years. We wish they would last longer as you really come to depend on this for cooking, dishwashing, and hot beverages. Two misses are first, not providing the required pressure fitting needed for recent installation. The second is less important but we would appreciate not having such a smooth handle as our hands are often wet when operating. Still a good product.
Works wonderful! Our old model gave out after 20 years and we were happy to find this with a large base to accommodate the drilled hole in the countertop
Does what it does.
Decent little unit. Problem with these is the element breaks down after just 3 years. The thermal plastic is not capable of long term use.
The new design is much easier to operate. Installation was unchanged except for the final water connection.I have every size Farrell except 1/4 witch ment a trip to the hardware store big trip for $.25 cents. TXS
I have been buying the InSinkErator INSTANT HOT WATER dispensers for over 35 years. No dispensers last forever but it saves me from boiling water or microwave. These units works great for me and installation is very easy!.
Not all parts are included for an initial install. I had to get more parts from local hardware store.
Replacement
I bought this unit simply to get the round plastic ring that goes on its base. Mine had broken. No replacement part available. I love the convenience of having steaming hot water on demand.
