Poor knob construction

I love my other Smeg products but this one has failed me twice. I got the mini kettle and within 3 months the knob broke off: it sits in this small plastic housing tube, and the plastic housing just snapped so the knob fell out. I thought it could be been a one-off so I got another one. The same thing happened but in 6 months. I’m not especially fast or rough with my appliances so I don’t think it’s just me. For this price point, it’s a poor purchase despite how pretty it is. In the meantime, I’ve been manually inserting the knob and turning it on, like a key.

Perfect Size

Perfect size for my needs. It boils enough water for one mug. Very easy on the eye. I have given 5 stars however I bought it with a discount and would not have if it was full price. The only downside is the price as the kettle is very light weight and you are paying for the style and name!

Orchid Petal = Washed Out Looking

I ended up exchanging it for the black pepper. The color (Orchid Petal) is really pretty on the website; however, it's very washed out looking in person. Didn't look brand new. Otherwise, good quality, warm and true-to-size.

Review of Smeg Mini Jug Kettle White

I live alone and had been using a whistle stove-top kettle because my double socket was potentially too close to the new sink position. All is well however so I thought a small electric kettle would be quicker to boil. It is! And I can even fill my hot water bottle by filling it to just below MAX.😊

Shrinkflation impacts clothing

This hoodie is ok. Not the quality I was expecting from Roots, having not purchased anything from them in years. I have two hoodies I bought 12 years ago that were amazing and still in great condition. They have a dual way zipper,, had thumbnoles in the cuffs and small phone pocket inside the main pocket and were thicker fabric.

This was my best decision to buy my mini kettle. The water heats quickly in the blink of an eye, that fast. I enjoy my tea is much better warming the water in this pretty kettle rather than using a microwave. I highly recommend it and you all will enjoy it very much.

Smeg mini kettle

This product is practical and easy to use. The Smeg mini kettle is a firm favourite in my household and fits perfectly with my 4 piece toaster. It has a 360 swivel base feature and simple switch on toggle. Very easy to wipe clean and a great open top. I highly recommend for small families as you can make 3 hot drinks at a time. Aesthetically pleasing on the eye and compact in size the perfect addition to any kitchen.

Super Cute!

50’s Style Mini Kettle is the perfect size for two mugs. Lightweight and compact for a smaller kitchen space. Cable length can be easily adjusted by conveniently coiling under the stand base, and operation is simple with a single on/off flick switch under the handle. Super cute. Highly recommended.

SMEG mini kettle

It looks exactly as expected. It is a good size. I bought it to match existing toaster. It is solid but like its larger predecessor, takes a long while to boil. SMEG small appliance products rely on their European design and brand name, are made in China and whilst attractive designs, are overpriced in general.

Perfect kettle for a smaller household

Perfect size kettle for a household of two. It’s very quick to boil and is much quieter than the old one we had. And it’s a little boujie! So happy with purchasing it.

Stylish mini!

This kettle is perfect for my small kitchen bench,adding a beautiful sense of style that I relish every day. Being the mini, I am not wasting power heating water i do not need and my cup of tea is ready that much faster. It is efficient, economical and quiet but the best thing is it's how it adds that little bit of panache to my environment!

Small Quiet Perfection

This is the perfect size kettle for a small household of 1-2 people, or a small kitchen. It is surprisingly and pleasantly very quiet - I can hardly hear it. The light that comes on when you switch it on is unobtrusive, but clear. I like that there's no plastic filter clipped onto the spout but instead filter holes in the stainless steel. It's a very pretty kettle as well (I bought the cream one), the design is lovely, and it's a quality build. It fits well in the hand, and is easy to transport, so very good for people with mobility issues or arthritis, especially since it's not too heavy when it's full. The hinged lid is secure, and you don't have to jerk it open, although you might have to watch out for limescale build-up if you're in a hard water area like me. I find the 0.8 litre capacity perfect for my needs - obviously this would be too small a capacity for a large household. It boils the water very quickly, and you don't really hear anything until it's reached boiling point. It's the most quiet kettle I've ever owned. Very pleased with my purchase.

The perfect stylish kettle

Very stylish and sturdy. Little lights come on to show you the temperature of the water and it makes a tinkly tune when it’s boiled. I love it. However, its quite heavy so not suitable for people who want a light kettle.

Perfect for a small household

It's small and that's exactly what I was looking for. A perfect addition to my Smeg kitchen appliances collection in a one person household. It still holds enough water to boil for cooking and for four people, not only for one cup of tea.

Streamlined and smudge-free white kettle, perfect size for 2

I like an uncluttered clean looking kitchen bench, and this mini kettle is perfect for achieving that. I used to have a full size SMEG kettle in black and I found it was very large and I was boiling water I often didn't need or use. I switched to this smaller kettle and it is PERFECT. Being white, it is smudge free (unlike the black), and it blends in with my bench top for a very simplistic streamlined look.

Great little kettle

Perfect addition to my Smeg coffee machine. It's small but the size is just want I needed for a one person household with rare occasions to 'put the kettle on' for more than two people. Highly recommended product!

Very happy

Perfect size and colour. This was a great price point choosing the mini but still getting the ascetic I was after. The kettle will be on display in my salon so wanted something that matched the decor but didn’t break the bank. Can’t wait to use it

Perfection! I bought black and it looks gorgeous on my white countertop. It’s the perfect size, takes up very little room and is simple to use. The fact that it has an auto shut off after it boils is great.

50's Style Mini Kettle in Cream

This kettle is amazing and works extremely well. I love the way that it lights up and makes noises when boiled. I changed the colour to pastel green, as I wanted more colour and am super happy with my choice.

Used

I ordered the red color in this and received it today. Excited, I opened the shipping box and immediately noticed the manufacturer box inside it was partly torn and smashed. It was well taped all around, I guess to keep it together. After opening that box, I noticed the kettle didn’t have the manufacturer’s original packaging, it was in a plastic bag. The plate that’s connected to the plug was just thrown in box. The kettle and the plate had water spots and fingerprints on them and the plug was dirty with black marks. If this wasn’t enough to indicate I was sold a used item, the instructions manual had dirty fingerprints on the front and back. I’m very disappointed and disgusted that Bloomingdale’s sells returned/used items on their website as new. I’m also disappointed at the quality of the products and customer service that Bloomingdale's is providing. It doesn’t appear they have quality control on the products being shipped. This is unacceptable so I contacted customer service and will be returning it for a replacement. Hopefully I will receive a brand new kettle in an unopened box otherwise I’m done with online shopping at Bloomingdale’s, because this is not the first such experience.
