American Walnut
First the fan is extremely easy to put together. Basic parts list that just needs a Phillips screwdriver. Blades themselves are both in a Grey finish and American Walnut finish. Always make sure your ceiling box is reinforced for any ceiling fan of course. Now the reasons why I only gave it a three start. The remote is extremely cheap looking and the magnetic wall mounted holder doesn't make it any better. The other reason for the low rating... I don't know if it's fact the blades are just straight or what, but once you get past speed 3, the fan is VERY loud. Keep in mind this fan comes with 6 speeds.
Super nice
I got this fan in all white and it's super easy to install, as is the switch (if you are comfortable doing so). It had more parts to assemble than I expected but there was nothing difficult about it. I really like the extra trim at the base of the fan blades because it gives a more finished look. T-he unit as a whole has an understated appeal, but I love this for farm house or industrial!
Simply minimal
This fan is super easy to install, as is the switch (if you are comfortable doing so). It had more parts to assemble than I expected but there was nothing difficult about it. I really like the extra trim at the base of the fan blades because it gives a more finished look. T-he unit as a whole has an understated appeal, maybe due to the white color. This would also look great against a non-white ceiling, so it has versatility on it's side as well.
Ceiling fan with wall control
The Jovie 52” indoor/outdoor ceiling fan with wall control is a great looking, modern designed, state-of-the-art piece of technology. The steel housing and plywood blades are strong and durable. There are three blades with silver/American walnut reversible blades. The wall control unit has 4 speeds for use in smaller rooms. The fan has 6 inch steel down rod and is compatible with a sloped ceiling. Installation is easy enough and the wall control. All hardware is included and the lead wiring is 6 1/2 ft long for use with a longer down rod. 13.5” H, 52” W, and 52” D.
Stylish and powerful fan
This room had an old and small ceiling fan that wasn't giving enough light or moving enough air. We decided to do can lighting and this fan in the center. The pictures won't show the can lighting because we only took pictures before. The install was very easy since all we had to do was remove the old fan and install this one in the same spot. We did change out the light switch for a variable speed switch. This fan looks so good with the lighting and does a much better job of moving air. This room generally got quite warm on hot summer days, so we are looking forward to taking advantage of this fan!
Modern Sleek Fan
This fan requires minimal assembly as it ships in disassembled in a well packed box. The assemble is just a basic screwdriver (Phillips). You will need a sturdy mount installed before you install this fan. The wiring is real basic as you will just need to attach the Black (load), White (Common) and a ground wire with the included wire nuts. The finish is modern and will blend/accent most current decors.
First of all, I do recommend this........
So unfortunately, we are still waiting to have an electrician come out to install it. I will edit this after he comes out. But I wanted to get at least a partial review out here. Bottom line first, this is a good quality, solidly built fan. Very easy to assemble with great instructions. No rattling or loose parts. We are eager to get this installed on our outside porch area.
Well made fan for use out of doors
We have ceiling fans on our porch and under our car port. The blades droop over time, so we decided to buy one that is rated for a wet environment.
Don't buy.
Don't buy this fan with the light. It will require extra wiring. Our electrician said he would need to do extensive drywall damage or go through our roof to get the controls to work correctly. There is NO remote, which would solve the issue. The switch set up is completely ridiculous and will not work in most cases without a lot of work by an electrician.
Well-Built Good Looking Fan Deserving of 5 Stars Except... for Minor QA Issue
I recently installed this fan on my back patio. First, upon opening the box, everything was well-packed and undamaged. However, one of the blades had a very minor defect (i.e, a small area that appears to be a delamination of the layers missed during QA) which is shown in the included photos. I don’t think it will be an issue, but I will keep an eye on it since I’m using it outdoors. The fan was easy to assemble, but a #3 Phillips screwdriver is needed to ensure the blade fixture screws are adequately tightened. The fan includes a 6-inch downrod. However, the electrical leads are long enough to allow installation with a 4-foot downrod, if needed, but the safety cable is much shorter. Installation of the safety cable, if required or desired, will require improvisation of an extension for the cable if using a downrod longer than 18-24 inches. Fan rotation is reversible with a slide switch on the side of the motor (slide up for upward air circulation and down for downward air circulation). The fan itself has no pull cord switch for speed control, but included with the fan kit is a Decora style 4-speed control switch. Thus, the electrical switch must be installed to control the speed of the fan. One thing I particularly like about this fan is that it is a three blade model. Even though it is 52-inches in diameter, it appears a bit smaller once installed. That worked nicely for my somewhat smallish patio (14-feet by 14-feet). The bottom of the fan motor is nicely finished as may be seen in the included photos. There appears to be no provision for installation of a light kit since the electrical installation only includes three leads - black (power), white (neutral) and green (neutral). One more thing I found nice about this fan is that the ceiling canopy is large, making it easy to make the electrical connections and install the safety cable. While a blade balancing kit is included, my fan is wobble-free at all speeds, so it wasn’t needed. I noticed the speed control switch is a little “notchy,” but I expect that to be alleviated through use. Even with only three blades, airflow is good with the fastest speed almost too breezy, but it was welcome after I installed it on a high-humidity, 100 degree day!! Overall, it’s a nice looking fan that appears well-built, and most everything is included to make installation straightforward. However, if you need to use a long downrod, be advised that you will need to come up with a way to extend the safety cable. And, if you need a lighted fan, it doesn’t appear that this model has any provision or availability of a separately controlled light because of the lack of an extra lead for light control.
Ceiling Fan
We got the new fan to go into the guest bedroom and it looks good. We like the dark bronze finish with the grey blades. It does not come with a light, but we like that because it more modern looking. Assembly was simple, but it does have alot of parts to put together. One drawback was the remote control receiver is not made inside the motor housing. You have to put it together yourself. Looks great and modern. Glad we got it.
LOVE this fan, no remote, wall switch perfect for this guest bedroom
Love this fan, no remote, wall switch only, perfect in this room. I put this fan, Generation Lighting Jovie 44 in. Integrated LED Indoor/Outdoor, in a smaller guest bedroom and it is perfect with the wall switch. Guests don't have to hunt for the remote when leaving the room. 20 min for the experienced electrician to install. Love the "white on white" fits perfectly in the room. Not a focal point blends into the white ceiling. Highly Recommend.
Attractive/Stylish AND Functional
This review is for the Monte Carlo (Jovie family) 52inch ceiling fan in the Brushed Steel finish. The three blades give it a modern-industrial look (which I like). You can flip the blades for a walnut-colored look or use the reverse side for a silver (more industrial look). This is an indoor/outoor fan and is rated 'ok' for damp locations (but you have to mount it under a roof if using outdoors (e.g., covered deck). The fan comes with a 4-speed wall control switch (AND THIS IS THE WEAKEST FEATURE). The switch is good looking, BUT its operation is very sloppy, loose when moving the selector between fan speeds. This is the only reason for my NOT giving the fan a five-star rating.
Large ceiling fan with inefficient blades and design issues
This 58", large ceiling fan uses straight, constant width blades. The down-rod is 5" and requires a large 'base cover' to house the wireless motor control. The remote allows to select rotation speed, direction and a 'burst mode' which cycles rotation speed. No light fixture included.
Thee Blades versus five blades
What a great quality ceiling fan! This is a well manufactured ceiling fan. I would have to put it next to the quality fans on the market. Not only quality built but also great looking and a modern design. The fan and is easily installed by the novice do it your self-er. Moves a volume of air (with only three bales compared to five blades) that is very comfortable especially where I live in the South where temperatures are humid and hot due to the air being thicker. Another attribute of this fan it comes with a safety cable line to be installed in ceiling area next to the octagon junction box. This cable would insure as a safety device in the event of failure of the hanger bracket which is a secondary backup to the screws in the octagon box. This model series doesn't come with a light but is classified as a fan only. Included is the 4 speed wall controller (high, medium, low and off). An easily instruction manual which is clearly understood as the steps involved in the installation. What makes this ceiling fan stand out from the rest, is the "LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY". To acquire this warranty, original purchaser must complete questioner and return to Monte Carlo's customer service within 10 days of purchase date.
Indoor/Outdoor LED Ceiling Fan with Wall Controller Switch
My guest bedroom fan needed an update, the fan was the older style with a pull string for turning on the light and changing the fan speeds. The Generation Lighting Monte Carlo Fan Collection (Model 3JVR44RZWD) 3-blade integrated LED light fan has a very modern and sleek appearance. The fan has a reversible motor and the total blade dimension size is 44 inches that works well for this smaller space. The fan came with a fall controller switch that allows for the LED light to be turned on/off and dimmed from dark to very bright. The fan switch turns the fan on/off and let you pick 4 fan speeds form slow to very fast. I wired the fan control switch through an existing single toggle light switch. This lets me turn on both the light and fan at the same time to the settings that is set on the fan/light control.
Beautiful white matte fan
This is a really great ceiling fan. It has 3 blades. It comes with an integrated LED , 20w, 750. (2700k), 850(3000k), and 830 (4000k)lumens. It contains a 4 speed wall mount control included. It’s a 52 inch spread. It has a limited lifetime warranty. It’s rated for damp locations. It took me about one hour to hang. It looks beautiful. This is a high quality item.
Great looking fan. Really quiet and moves a lot of air
This is a really nice looking fan. The sleek Brushed steel blades are the perfect mate to the brushed steel fan body. I was expecting the blades to be reversible but they are brushed steel also and that really works. The back side is ribbed to add some strength to the blades. I'm impressed with how quiet it is. I can hear air moving but no other sounds from the fan. It really moves the air, much more than you would expect. The remote is user friendly. It's pretty self explanatory with no confusing mass of buttons to figure out. Installation wasn't too bad. Old school type of assembly with nothing difficult or confusing. Great fan
Works great
We out this fan up in our screened in porch for during the summer months. The instructions were easy to follow and it wasn't to hard to put up. I love that it has different speeds in a switch, instead of a pull string. We definitely will continue to use this and may get another one for inside.
Great ceiling fan
I received the Monte Carlo - Jovie 52 Ceiling Fan in Midnight Blacked about a month or so ago and finally got my son here to install it for me.I really like the midnight black color. I am so pleased with it....it runs super quiet and really produces a good breeze. I really like its sleeker design then the ceiling I've had up for years. If you are in need of a newer ceiling fan I suggest you give this one a try for sure...you won't be disappointed!
