When the shower head is in the handle the water sprays straight out! There is no way to angle it down! The shower head will rotate left to right but not down. I spoke to customer service and there is no way to fix this. I expect more from Moen.

Very easy to install and works really well. I'm really pleased with this product. My one gripe, if any, would be that some of the parts are plastic versus stainless steel.

overpriced, cheap plastic

All I was looking for was a simple sliding hand shower made out of durable material. Build.com listed the material as “metal” but really the only metal part is the bar the shower head slides on. The shower head, slider, and even bar mounts are made of plastic. I can’t imagine why they’re charging so much for this.

Unit is very nice and just what was needed. Not drastic but noticeable is the height difference between my wife and I. The handheld showerheads are nice but this really helps having the adjustability for the solid mount

We only buy Moen now

My family purchased an older home 10 years ago. There were a variety of fixtures and hardware throughout the home. Many of the plumbing fixtures were crumbling/in bad shape, except one. The only fixture in the home with a Moen brand was the only one in nearly new condition. Since then we’ve only purchased Moen products and have never had any issues. We recently purchased a Moen shower wand and had a slider bar break after a few months. All it took was a quick email to Moen and without any hassle or questions, a new slider was in the mail. If that’s not perfect customer service, I don’t know what is. They stand behind their products 100%. I’ll be a customer for life.

Why Plastic

This is an excellent product, and plastic is the proper material. The key is the kind of plastic used (ideally Lexan or polycarbonate). Plastic will keep it's shine if properly maintained*. Metal will corrode, oxidize and permanently lose it's shine. A little silicone on the screws, and all will be gresat. (*Polish with a car wax for plastic & microfiber cloth)

Disappointed that it’s not not a complete functional set...we still have to order the shower valve & arm that comes out of the wall. For the cost, one would think it’s a functional set. It appears that now I’ll have an extra shower head. Ridiculous!

Happy with this purchase. The handheld shower moves up and down the bar by pressing down the button on the holder. You can also tilt the shower head to angle it. The cord is plenty generous and can reach around the perimeter of the shower.

After paying so much money for a product that states it is made out of metal I am shocked that it has plastic parts painted to look like metal and they wear. I have not completed the warranty yet I have to replace parts, the bracket that holds the handshower. The metal tube did not hold up and broke apart with normal daily showering by 2 people. Will not buy again if I do not have to.

I like Moen products and try to purchase them because quality, but this kit is cheap. The bar itself is thin and lightweight metal. The shower head is also plastic and shiny which means it will scratch easlily. The biggest disappointment is the holders that attach the bar to the wall. They are also plastic !!! After buying this : Moen R2356DBN Home Care 16 Inch Grab Bar with Shelf, Brushed Nickel and feeling the heavy duty quality of that, to get this chinzy Moen shower bar just makes me sad. Shame on you Moen. I would return it but I have no faith anything else will be up to par with what I expected.

Didn't come with the fitting to connect the sprayer hose to the wall outlet even though the picture shows it. Went back to review what I had bought to read the fine print that states "Drop ell (A725) sold separately". Similar Moen products don't show this fitting in the picture so I assumed the one I bought which showed the fitting in the picture would come with it. VERY DECEIVING!

I love the look of this shower head, and the long hose is useful for my husband who uses a wheelchair so needs to sit on a shower chair and use the long hose to reach himself. However, this Moen showerhead is designed to be able to vertically raise and lower the shower head to swivel the shower head to change the angle (toward the floor). It is the swivel that doesn't hold position. If we try to angle the showerhead down a little, say at a 45 degree angle, it falls to horizontal. Defintely a disappointment, as with my husband in a chair while showering, it would be nice to position the shower head to hit him more directly.

Great Product

I bought this shower unit for my 99 yr-old mother-in-law who was quite disturbed by me even suggesting a change to her shower. I was somewhat doubtful of the unit's quality when I first opened the box, HOWEVER it proved to be a sturdy unit when installed through the ceramic tiles into wall studs. The shower head is lightweight and easy to use I installed the bar from waist to shoulder height as she sits on a chair in the shower. It is therefore easy for her to reach, detach from the bar and use. In the end I have a grateful ole lady, and I may even purchase one for myself.

I ordered this hand shower with the sidebar because about 13 years ago we purchased this same one only in a brushed nickel and we love it. BUT when we received this one we see that Moen has changed the brackets for the bar to PLASTIC! Very disappointed! Really? What ever happened to quality products made with real metal and not plastic parts? And we paid close to $200.00 for the handheld shower unit and the wall bracket (not included) for the end of the hose. Thank goodness that was metal! So would I recommend this product? If you can afford it I would look at a higher quality product that is entirely made of metal......because if you break the plastic holding the bar onto the wall it will be a job to replace it.

Everything else including the wall brackets are plastic. But that didnt change the fact that its still very sturdy. At first, I was a bit upset with the pressure coming out of the handheld. It was too gentle and reached its max pressure when I barely turned the valve on. So I did what I knew how to do and removed the pressure regulator. Now the valve control actually made sense. And the massaging mode actually massages!

Great handheld shower attachment

We recently remodeled our main bathroom and had this handheld shower attachment installed on an existing tub/surround. We love the brushed nickel finish,the grab bar and slide bar features, as well as the adjustable spray pattern on the shower head. I can now wash my 2 year old grand daughter's hair without tears or trauma and she loves her "spa baths" at Grandma's house. A great addition to our bathroom--well designed and aesthetically pleasing.

I liked that it was one of the only shower slide bars that was 30in. The advertisement stating "metal" is deceiving, as the pole is the only metal part. Strangely enough, the brackets that hold the bar to the wall are plastic! I did not feel this was the best material to use for this important anchor. The hand held was average, but a little too angular for my tastes. The hand held by G-Promise feels better & looks better than this Moen in my opinion. I could have lived with it, because I really liked the 30in bar, but the plastic is what made me send it back.
