door opening small
My opening is 26" .The actual glass door was much too narrow compared to the misleading ad indicating 25 1/4 to 27 1/4.Fine for someone thin only. Quality of glass quite good except there are so many warnings it might shatter relatively easily that it makes you worry. The opening was and is my main concern and it should have been pointed out at time of purchase the approximate opening. I wouldn't have bought it.
Very elegant shower door and easy to be installed
The Dreamliner frameless pivot shower door is really elegant as its name suggests. Quality materials and easy to install. Because it is a pivot shower door it is very stable on the wall and no worries about coming loose. We are happy with the purchase.

The glass door itself is great - I would give it 5 stars. The mounting pieces on the side have to be slid out most of the way to fit the opening in my shower because mine is on the widest end of the measurement. It would be better if there was an in-between size in the door width rather than having to buy this one and then use the frame to make up an extra 1" on each side. Be warned - because I didn't read all of the information before ordering the door - this is not a replacement for a fiberglass shower door. After ripping out our old door my husband told me I ordered the wrong height. Well height wasn't the issue I just should not have ordered this door because it only comes in one height. He had to make a block system to go above the fiberglass shower and anchor the blocks to the wall and then the shower door to the blocks so that the door frame was properly secured. Completely my fault for not reading the information. It ended up looking great but it was a TON of work.

First of all, I'm a very handy person, I work on most of the house projects myself. Good price for the design and quality. Despite I angled the glass door a bit much during installation and hurt glass crack, only a little bit of glass chip on the hinge, very minor, can't even see it. I wish the glass door had a sticker to show which side is top and which side is bottom bc I installed it wrong and had to reinstall it. I also wished they included a diamond drill bit, regular drill bit would not have worked on porcelain tiles... But I guess they had the assumption that most ppl will have the professionals install it
Very Nice !
During June & July I renovated our Master Bath. My wife was very excited she selected the paint, cabinet, tile for floor/shower tile and DreamLine Elegance Shower all from Home Depot. After 4 weeks the project was completed today 4 days before our 47th wedding anniversary. The shower door was the final component to be installed. The entire shower installation was relatively easy I did need some help from a friend because the shower was heavy with cautionary warning DO NOT DROP. The DreamLine Shower is top quality product. My wife was totally pleased. My photographic skills may not be the best, hard to get quality pics in small bath. The most important lesson for me, "Happy Wife, Happy Life". Eddie, CT

We recently remodeled our shower with custom tile work. We were looking for a shower door that was elegant, yet understated. This shower door worked perfectly as it is primarily glass with the oil rubbed bronze trim that matched our faucets. This particular door was a little more expensive than we had seen in Lowe's, but the glass is thicker and heavier which is great. I had a professional install it and it took him a while, but he worked through it. Overall, we love the door and would recommend it to others.

They say, accurately, that it will not leak if water hits it indirectly. However, how many showers are like that? So I am caulking in places on the door I shouldn't have to caulk to try to remedy the issue. They also don't tell you that this shower door will shatter easily if you bump the corners during installation. I avoided that result, but I had to buy glass suction grippers so that I could move it into place. The door is 57 pounds. You also better have a perfectly rectangular opening or nearly so. There is some adjustment in the components, but not much, so measure carefully every possible dimension or you'll be reconstructing your entire shower enclosure to make this thing work. It took me three weeks for this project (based on spare time available outside of other obligations) due to the modifications I had to make to my opening. It looks right, and I did make some measurements, but the sides turned out to be slightly convex/concave and that messed everything up.
Good, if unexpected, shower door
So the description for this door doesn't make two things clear:

Excellent door. Well thought out manufactured. As an amateur my door opening wound up pretty out-of-plumb (9/16 in 6 feet - both walls out - no frame-less for me!). This door did the trick. The hinge side was adjustable to keep the door level, and the handle side separately adjustable to deal with that wall. Instructions are very good. It will take awhile though. I recommend getting the drill bit set (includes small plastic water well) that enables easy drilling. The final product is completely solid. The hard plastic sweep at the bottom keeps water in and is hardly visible. The glass is 3/8" and is very nice looking (and heavy.) The glass cleans almost instantly with a quick wipe of the towel.

This was everything I had hoped for. We have only had it for a couple of weeks but it is very sturdy and well made. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and the parts were all labeled clearly. I'm a decent DIY'er but I was concerned this might be beyond me but it was much easier than I thought. The hardest part was drilling the holes in the tile actually. You will need someone to help you get the glass in place as it is pretty heavy and not something you would want to risk dropping. Some of the styrofoam packing was the perfect size for the bottom clearance so the glass could rest on it while we attached it. I read on one review they recommended the optional step of screwing the bottom hinge into the shower curb. Our opening was right at 34.5 - 35 inches so the side frames are set back almost all the way in and it is super sturdy, so we did not take that step. If they were farther out (if the opening was wider) I could see there might be some play when you open and close the door so that's something to think about. Putting that optional screw into the curb would probably fix the issue just make sure you caulk it really well. Wife says the only downside is that it looks so nice it is almost out of place with the rest of the house so now I have more projects to do :)

I purchased this last month and installed it myself. It was really hard to drill 10 holes in marble (each hole took me about 20 minutes with diamond bit) but its not their fault. Door glass is really heavy, so its quite hard to move and install on the frame. I laid bunch of towels on the floor to elevate the glass door while aligning the glass with the frame. Instruction was very straight forward, but their component naming scheme was confusing. Better read the entire instruction back to back couple times so you dont use wrong frame and end up with wrong hole position. My shower opening has 1 inch difference between bottom and top, and I was able to perfectly fit the door to the opening. Afrer installation (took me 2 weekdays afrer work), it looks great and the heavy glass door feels really nice.

I only gave this a "good" review as it pertains to Home Depot, more than the vendor. I ordered this door and awaited for HD call to pick up. I received the call and went to the local store for pickup. The outer box was damaged and HD representatives really didn't seem to care. Their response was if there were any problems, just let them know. NO INITIATIVE was provided by HD to check the contents of the package. I brought the door home, and upon installation there were 5 damaged parts. They were cosmetic damages, but I called Dreamline to see what could be done. DREAMLINE is the best! They understood my problem, I sent in pictures of the damaged parts and they immediately open a case to ship me new parts. The door was chipped, a hinge was scratched, and a wall plate was bent. All of these items are on their way to me with little or no effort.

Purchased this to replace a full framed, old shower door. This is a high quality, heavy glass shower door. Good value for the price. Installation is a two-man job to hold door in place while attaching to the hinges. There is an "optional" step to screw bottom hinge pivot base into threshold, instead of just using a pressure screw tightened against bottom threshold. I found that without screwing directly into the threshold, the hinge pivot base moved slightly when opening and closing the door, causing door to be slightly out of alignment. This required removal of installed door to drill into the threshold and screw the hinge pivot base directly in. So I would recommend that you take the "option" to drill and screw the bottom hinge pivot base directly into the threshold without trying the pressure screw first as the installation instructions indicate. Doing so may save you the time of removal and reinstallation of the door to drill directly into threshold. Other than that, very happy with the overall appearance and quality of the shower door!

Love the look of my shower door. Have not used the shower yet since installing because we are still finishing up the bathroom makeover. Installation went well. We studied the instructions before starting. Anxious to try it out to see if our water spots the glass and if any water ends up on the floor. There was a small discoloration on the brushed Nickel frame but did not want to deal with taking it back so will just live with it. We are going to make a cover for the non hinge side of the frame. It is open at the top and we don't want water to get inside the frame. Seems like there should be a plastic cap or something included with the door frame to keep water out. The hinge side is not open at the top because of the hinge itself being inside the frame. It feels very sturdy and looks very nice. Shows off the onyx and marble tile we installed on the shower walls. All ordered thru Home Depot.
