great light

I purchased the light to replace an existing light that had been in the house for about 25 years. I wanted something that would be a bit more contemporary than the existing light, but not too contemporary for the remainder of the house. This fixture fit the bill perfectly. I had the fixture installed by a master electrician, because the fixture weighs about 20lbs, is attached to a 17ft ceiling, and I wanted to be sure it was installed properly. I purchased torpedo shaped (T8) LED lights (35-40 watt equivalent) for it and the effect turned out to be perfect. A buyer should be cautioned that the light only comes with 54 inches of chain. I needed to hang it from a 17ft ceiling so I purchased an extra 54 inches of chain from Lumens. The light comes with over 100 inches of wire so that there is plenty of wire. The chain that comes with the light has to be one of the thickest most robust chains I have ever seen for a hanging fixture. Adding the additional length of chain to the existing chain was more than a bit of a struggle - and I have all sorts of tools. Less
