Leaks

On to the third try. The diverter leaks even after a replacement part from the manufacturer.

Ordered on the phone as total for two items in the shopping cart was not accurate. Excellent customer service person manually removed the excess amount from the total and applied coupon code. The item arrived in two days. The tub spout is very nice, no scratches and with the required tool in the box. Price was very reasonable compared to local stores.

Nice quality hefty.

This thing is super hefty and just looks nice.Install isn't super flexible in regards to the wall fitting depth. My contractor identified this and plumbed things accordingly so there where not problem.

We want water

The slider bar and hose are great. It looks beautiful in our updated shower. The H2Okinetic technology sounded great and looks cool in the video but we realized that we want a real "shower".There are 3 settings on the shower head...one of the three is pause...So, Setting 1 is the shower, redirected water, looks like a lot but it isn't.Setting 2 is the hard massage. The hard massage setting is good.Setting 3 is pause...? Nothing coming out here.Used the shower head one day and replaced it.

Very heavy and good looking

All metal and looks and feels great. Water pressure is a little low, but that be my house. It projects into the tub a little farther than I anticipated, but I still like it a lot. The diverter is a nice big button. Would recommend.

Hans Grohe shower valve/tub thingie

I bought a bunch of Hans Grohe stuff, this is beautiful stuff, but it would have been nice to have gotten instructions on how to use it! It is not the standard stuff and it only came with install directions. There's 2 ways to turn water on to the tub, there's 2 levers on the shower diverter, with no idea what the top one did and what the bottom one does, also on the tub spout, I pushed it and no water came out, and pushing it again didn't release it... so had to monkey with it to figure how to get it back to open...It'd also be nice to have the red/blue dots on the shower valve, still not sure what the little button does.

High Quality Fixture

This product is high quality. The spout weights about 5lbs and feels very solid! The diverter works by PRESSING DOWN on the knob (feels spring loaded, so it takes very little effort). To re-divert water, you need to turn off the source to reset.

We needed a new shower body to replace a leaking old Pegasus shower body from Home Depot. After looking at several brands, we chose Hansgrohe for its elegance, simplicity and strong brand reputation. Along with the new valve/shower body, we picked up a new spout and trim to match. This spout with diverter looks very nice but also feels solid in its operation. Simply push in the button to divert the water from spout to shower and turn off the water (and back on) to disable the diverter and reroute the water to the spout. Simple!

Poorly designed, difficult to install properly

This spout is nearly impossible to install correctly. The instructions tell you to place the end of the threaded plumbing connection EXACTLY 3/8" behind the finished wall. In a new construction, before the wall is installed, when you are running the plumbing pipes for this, it is extremely difficult to predict exactly how thick a layer of backerboard, adhesive and then a layer of tile or other finished surface will be. Plus, even if you do get threaded pipe close to 3/8" from the finished surface, if it's slightly more (7/16" for example) the spout will not install at the proper depth, so the set screw designed to hold the spout on will not make contact behind the lip of the flange that ccontains the O-ring. This fancy spout is a nightmare. At least if the instructions would have stated that the leading edge of the threaded pipe in the wall had to be placed between 1/4" and 3/8" I would have been successful (because there is actually some flexibility with the spout installation, but only if the distance of the threaded pipe end from the finished surface is less than 3/8"). Perhaps the problem is with the poor quality instructions, but I spent thousands to install plumbing, tub, and shower walls only to find out that the 3/8" requirement is actually the deepest the mating threaded connetion can be in the wall, not the shallowest. If you buy or have one of these, keep this in mind: When the instructions say install the connecting plumbing pipe 3/8" behind the finished wall surface, you should actually aim for 1/4" to 3/8" behind the finished surface, because anything more than 3/8" prevents you from installing the spout (at least with the cover ring under it). Less
