Beautiful sink - cracks in four places…

We love the sink, beautiful. Bought it in May, it’s been sitting in our garage unopened until now. Complete kitchen remodel, cabinets being installed next week and I pull the sink out and it’s got cracks in four places and a chip in one place. $658 for the sink and now have to work with Lowe’s on a replacement. For that kind of money you shouldn’t open the box to find several cracks and a chip…. Open immediately and inspect!

Fantastic Sink

This sink is just about perfect. The different sized basins and cutting board create an ideal workstation. I have been a chef and restaurant designer and operator for 35 years and have this in my home. The bonus is just how great it elevates the beauty of my home kitchen.

First off, I'm a HUGE fan of Elkay anything. This sink did not disappoint and it was a wonderful price. At other retailers, it's more than what I paid here. Highly recommend.

We installed the sink last year and it has worked really well for us. I appreciated that this set came with the basin racks and basket inserts. The sink is beautiful and really elevated the look of our kitchen. We have received numerous complements on the sink.

Got this farmhouse sink to match up with my new granite counter tops. I measured the dimensions of the sink to show depth of the sink so you can see how many dishes you can fit in. I had the granite installers put the sink in and they said it went smoothly and was not time consuming. Th other product feature is I have stainless steel pans and they do not make noise in the sink as I have small kids.

Having such a big sink is great when washing pots and pans. Everything fits down in. We installed this a few months ago along with new quartz counters. I've always had regular double-basin kitchen sinks. The farmhouse style sink was something me and the wife had wanted for some time now. Very happy with our purchase. The install requires a frame to be built inside the cabinet due to the weight.

The Elkay 33 in. farmhouse sink adds a touch of class and elegance to any kitchen. The fireclay with white porcelain finish is durable and easy to clean as well as scratch resistant. It comes with very detailed installation instructions for undermounting it to your counter top. It also comes with 2 stainless sink baskets for standard drains and the drain extensions as well as 2 grids for the sink base. This is a very heavy sink so proper sink support is a must and provided with the instructions. Come very well packaged for protection.

Don't buy this sink ! It looked fine, but...

Don't buy this sink ! It looked fine, but after installing sink in the base and installing quartz top for undermount install, my plumber attempted to complete the install. Found out the drains in the 50/50 fireclay sink were cut too small. A standard 3 1/2" drain wouldn't fit. I called Elkay and they said installation not covered by warranty. I told them the sink was defective with both drain holes too small and they asked if I wanted to submit claim for a new sink!.. I used a diamond bit to increase the size of the drains and lost the glazing around the drain. Called the plumber back and they discovered the drains still wouldn't work. I need an extended length drain. Called Elkay again. They agreed I need extended length drain. I asked why they don't tell you this in any of the install instructions. No assistance offered. I ended up buying black drains from a 3rd party company and my plumber completed the install on the 3rd try. Elkay was of no help and I spent extra cash on my 3 visits from the plumber. Do yourself a favor - don't buy this sink !!

We just installed this sink in our kitchen today, it looks great. The large size should be very practical. Can we use a stainless steel rinse basket, or would that scratch the sink? If so, is there another type which would be more appropriate for this sink?

[Rewarded Review] A Genuine Farmhouse Sink

Quality. Right off the bat, the quality of this sink is what you first notice. The finish is outstanding. Beautiful bright white, consistently applied. This thing is heavy! At least 300 pounds so be prepared to have some custom bracing built to support it. Your standard particleboard cabinetry is not going to cut it. Really happy we went with the kit that has the stainless grates, really useful for keeping pans and dishes up off the bottom so they can drain. All stainless bits are just as quality. This is a real farmhouse sink that will last a lifetime and beyond. Cant wait to get this installed.

[Rewarded Review] Durable And Excellent Quality

First off, this sink kit arrived very well packed for shipping. Not scratch upon unboxing and inspection. Phew. Two larger bowls and the depth is more than adequate for most applications. Even larger pots and pans work out. Quite heavy and took two of us to move it. After careful consideration, we decided to get a professional to install as the cabinets will need to be adjusted for size and strength and the countertop is gonna look a lil shabby, lol. The addition of the 2 racks and strainers is a plus along with a cleaning cloth. The finish is lovely. Overall, exception product and recommended.

This 33” double bowl farmhouse sink is absolutely gorgeous. We needed a new sink for our kitchen remodel and this one just spoke to us. It’s 33” wide and 20” deep with the bowls being 15” deep and 18” wide with a depth of 9”. It’s made of a beautiful fireclay with a glaze that is smooth and scratch resistant as well as stain resistant. The apron front is nice and it reminds you of an old time farmhouse. The sink comes with a sink kit that has two wire racks with rubber bumpers for the bottom of the sink and two stainless drains ready to be installed. It’s a very pretty and functional sink and we are happy with it.

[Rewarded Review] Wow! What a beautiful Sink!

We are building a new house soon and wanted to upgrade the look of the kitchen with a sink that would really stand out. The Elkay White Fireclay Double Bowl Farmhouse Apron Kitchen Sink Kit was a wonderful choice. The sink is 33 inches wide and both bowels have the same dimensions. The sink is VERY pretty and was shipped to me well packaged. The sink came in two boxes, the sink in a large box and the accessories were in a separate box. The large white sink has a smooth glaze scratch resistant finish which will be easy to clean. The accessories came with two sink drains, two protective sink racks and a cleaning cloth and sponge. The sink is heavy and will require additional framing to the inside the cabinet to hold the weight of the sink and water when filled. The sinks needs to be installed in an under counter position and the instructions came with illustrations. We will be using the cabinet maker to install this wonderful sink in the new kitchen cabinet.

I love my new sink. I love that the divider is only half way up. It allows you to fill the tub fully and submerge larger items. Also still feels like two separate sections. It is easy to clean and beautiful.

The first sink we ordered arrived with multiple cracks and just crumbled when we took it out of the box. I called immediately and they assumed it may have been dropped during transport. They sent out another sink that arrived and upon the plumbers installing it, found there was a bow in the bottom of the sink. I again called to report it, but since there wasnt a crack, there wasnt a replacement. They did note that I called on it and extended the warranty to 1 year. It is embedded jnto our quartz top now, so i am hoping the bowing does not become an issue. It is beautiful, for certain. Just cant seem to get one that is top grade???

Exactly as Expected!

This sink is gorgeous! LOVE the option to use whichever front you prefer. High quality, great weight. Home is under renovation so i haven't gotten to use it yet but it MAKES the kitchen!!
