Elkay vs. Kohler
Works fine just not a fan of the way it looks. Previously had a kohler sink and drain and prefer the way that basket looked and worked. Having said that it’s an Elkay drain that is paired to the sink

Brass tail nut broke
The brass nut that came with this basket is worthless. It crumbled like a cookie when tightening. I even bent it with my hand slightly and it breaks. Had to go buy a replacement.
Didn’t work-didn’t fit correctly . Because the time evolved between ordering and the plumber actually getting there, the SHORT return time had expired and I was stuck with it.
Surprised at how heavy duty the piece is. Using in an Elkay bar sink.

I bought this to see what all the hype was about, but mine shows no signs of the meissner effect or a resistance of 0. Still a good drain, though.

It has a very nice design. It can be easily taken out of the sink for ease of food removal. With a simple push downwards it holds water very well.
Drain is showing signs of wear, which I have never experienced with other drains. I was actually thinking, if I could afford it and afford to have it installed, I might replace it.

Most people probably wouldn’t rate a drain but I’m here to tell you these are awesome. We purchased two to accompany our new Elkay 60/40 sink and they’re fantastic! Love the drain baskets also. My installer said same.
it is too shiny and cheap looking.... I thought it would be more stainless steel looking NOT chrome.
