Well, the product is excellent, but the shipping packaging is terrible. The glass is wrapped poorly and taped with small amounts of polystyrene foam bats, and the external box is thin cardboard. I returned the first one for a replacement since the glass was scratched. The replacement arrived in the same poor packaging, but was thankfully undamaged. It's very surprising that such and expensive shower door would have such inadequate packaging. I can't fault the shipping companies at all. Product = excellent, packaging = poor.

Sliding glass doors

The doors are beautiful, look very high end probably because of the thickness of the glass

Expensive Shower Door Leaks

Purchased this shower door and had it installed as part of a bath renovation by a licensed contractor. It leaks so the contractor has been back twice to reseal as needed. Finally, they said to contact Lowe's. Lowe's install won't touch it even though I will pay for their service fee. They said to contact the manufacturer which I have just done. Very disappointed in the product which is by appearances very well made and good looking. Sadly, if it leaks, what's the point? I would not recommend this Model and am disappointed in how Lowe's has handled my concerns.

Unique tuxedo shower door

What I like about Build.com is that they list how many of each item are in stock, tell you how long it will take to get your item and their prices are competitive. The tuxedo shower door is unique, attractive, slides easily and the doors resist water staining. I squeegee them, they shine. Our contractor, this being his first door of this type was intimated by the instructions, but a call to a friend who had installed multiple shower doors, it went together in no time.

Looks great

There is a gap under the sliding door that leaks all the time. It can’t be sealed because it slides back and forth. Surely a solution is possible. My shower is small compared to most walk in showers. I roll a towel up and lay it along the sliding door to keep the floor in the bathroom dry. Other than that, I like it.

Beautiful, sleek, shower door!

Beautiful door. One note: the hardware and door seemed to only allow it to be installed so that it opened from the left. I had it installed like it looks in the picture (but backwards based on the instructions and the labels on the doors) because, of where my toilet is located. Regardless, it looks wonderful. The hardware is sleek and finished on both sides. I would definitely purchase it again.

I I had this door installed be professionals in an apartment we’ve been working on for a while. We never quite finished the apartment to the point of renting it out so it has sat vacant for a year and a half. We returned to start working on it again and found the bathroom piled high in little pieces of glass. The fixed panel had exploded for no apparent reason. I did a little research and found out that these kinds of complaints have increased 10 fold in the last couple of years. A small contamination in the glass can cause this to happen spontaneously. Beware of imported glass.

panel exploded randomly on my contractor

My contractor was in the middle of installing. My contractor was holding one of the panels while the other contractor was finalising the rest install images completely randomly exploded cut his hands up I did see another review saying that 1 panel exploded on a guest. I have this Door currently in my master bathroom for 2 years and it looks beautiful and I've had no issues. Were doing a major remodel in my other bathroom and decided to add this door as well. I did reorder and I am hoping it was just a fluke thing but now I am scared after I read the other review that stated it randomly exploded for some one else when a guest was showering. photo shows a piece of glass smooth to the touch. It's like it exploded from inside. Scary stuff hoping this doesn't happen to anybody else.

The door itself is beautiful. However I read that you do not have to worry about using a squeegee after a shower when you have the store. That's not quite true. The water does not disappear the way it appeared to in the advertisements.

This shower is absolutely gorgeous in my new master bath. I clean the glass doors after each use with a rubber squeegee to eliminate water spots, making the doors look brand new. Compared to one of those plastic tub or shower inserts? No comparison. I am really glad I went to the extra cost of these doors.

Quality and design were top notch but two negatives: 1. instructions did not include a dimension from bottom of fixed panel to center of slide frame; 2.instructions only depicted where the slider splash guard was supposed to be located on the base with no other information. Regarding the tiny splash guard, we siliconed that where it appeared to be in the illustrations but water is getting on the floor so I expect the guard will need to be moved closer to the door however that is just a guess. I would recommend but hope the instructions improve.

5 Stars

I've had this for 4 years and I still love it. If you're thinking about deciding to buy it, don't think just do it. It will make your bathroom look instantly expensive. Do keep up with cleaning the rod so it won't rust. When I got mine, I had a little chip at the bottom and they replaced it right away. Customer service is excellent for this company.

As others said, it just leaks

The door is very nice, but it leaks like a sieve. I have the sliding panel on the same side as the shower. When shower is on, the water hits the floor and drops of water splash all around. My shower has a 'waterfall' mode, where a thick stream of water flows down. You can imagine the amount of splashing that occurs when it hits the shower floor.

The instructions were sometimes difficult to follow, since they cover more than one model of this product. Installation definitely takes two people, to lift, hold, and balance the glass panels. Fasteners size varied widely, requiring many searches through the supplied allen wrenches. The doors are beautiful, once installed.

This product is JUNK. Save your money. Have had installed for 2 years and there is rust on the metal. What kind of cheap stainless steel is this? And no, I did not use abrasive scrubbing or chemicals on it. Warranty says it does not cover this either, what a joke.

It's great product: "DreamLine Enigma-X 56 to 60 in. x 76 in. Frameless Sliding Shower Door in Polished Stainless Steel". And yes, the glass seems to have some resistance to soap scum as my daughter is lazy to use squeegee after showering. But so far, it has just little stain. But it has beem in used just a month. Time will tell more, if it stays this way for a long time. Installation was tough for my 2-men contractor. They complains it lacks of some level of adjustments due to the imperfection of the walls, so made them worked much harder in order to finally adjust it right. It's also very heavy. I strongly advise to have a qualified professional to install it. I am a light handy man, but no way I can install this door by myself + another person who hasn't done this kind of install. So, it costs couple hundreds more for install labor. Fortunately, I had it onsale at HomeDepot, that saved me $200 to offset the installation cost a little bit.

Strongly recommend this door. My walls were 1/4 to 3/8 out of square and it is very difficult to even see it, door looks great. Instructions and installation was very straight forward, had all parts. Only hard part was getting door upstairs. Doors are heavy, about 100 # each. I would not think about installing doors without going into a solid stud. Very attractive door and they are worth a little extra money.

Highest Quality and Exceptionally Well Made

I’m an older advanced DIYer and just completed the installation of a Dreamline Enigma X sliding shower door in my basement. This is a newly finished basement so I was able to do all the work myself and make sure the shower door opening was plumb and the curb level. I used a Schluter Kerdi system for the pan and curb and used a quartzite 6” x 60” slab for the threshold. I could not be happier with the result! This shower door is exceptionally well made and engineered. Everything fit perfectly and installed as described in the manual, although I relied a lot on the installation video on YouTube. There was a small error in the installation instructions regarding the size of hole to drill for the #12 guide block on the threshold. The instructions assume your titled curb is over a wood base which is only one option for building a curb Other than that, the installation went very well, in part due to the way all the parts were labeled and packaged. It could not have been put together any better! This obviously is a first class operation. My only regret is that my basement shower is now much nicer than the shower in my master bedroom

This is a review from another angle. My contractor broken the glass door when tried to installed. The glass smashed into thousands of small pieces like finger nails' size, I think it's much more safe than regular glass which breaks apart into larger, hazardous and sharper pieces. And then I sent an email to Dreamline and their customer services are excellent. After confirmed what parts I was missing they shipped it to me with zero charges. Thank you.
