Beautiful but Flawed

This bookcase would be beautiful if it were to actually live up to the price. When I received it, there were already scratches on the wood. I did not receive full instructions and had several missing bolts and dowels. Things were not labeled as they should, and a sticker was placed on the wood that will now not come off and has left a large amount of residue. For what I paid for I wish that things were better.

Really Nice Bookcase

This bookcase seems to be quality material thus far. Beautiful cherry coloring that matches perfectly with other cherry wood throughout the house. Purchased as a shelf for my walk in closet due to the depth, which needed to be smaller than others. It is perfect. The instructions seemed easy enough and didn't have problems. The backside is standard backing for these types of shelves, so don't expect the same type of wood material.

Quite Elegant

It arrived in 2 long, heavy boxes. I’m 6”2 200lb and I was able to manage bringing it up the steps. I live on the 2nd floor. After ordering, I read the disparaging reviews about the instructions being incomprehensible. I was worried; thinking that I should’ve just paid $179 for the professionals to assemble it. However, I read the instructions and used the pictures as a guide. The pieces are NOT labeled. It took 3 hours to assemble. I’m not a builder type of guy. But this was easy.

don't waste your money.

For the cost this product is a huge let down. first off nothing, and I mean nothing, is labeled so trying to find the right pieces is a game of search and find. You will have to line up the parts to the photos in the instructions which are terrible. the instructions also barley guide you. most pieces don't have predrilled holes so good luck getting screws through with hand tools. the back is weak and tapped, yes tapped, together. Not worth the price at all.

Good Quality and Great Price

This product is great. This is our second 72"x72" bookcase by Concepts in Wood. Our other has a cherry finish. If you are like me, you have a lot of books. With having a lot of books comes the need to have quality bookcases that can hold those books without sagging. This product does just that. Other products need modifications to prevent their thin shelves from sagging in the long run. This product needs no such modification.
