Problems

Very difficult to install. Base cover barely covers a standard octagonal electrical box, requiring very precise drywall cut. Retaining screws are very close to the ceiling, requiring a thin-handled screwdriver to install. Within a year, one unit tripped its 12v transformer breaker, but there is NO reset capability as all internal components are slathered with a solid rubber sealant, so the entire unit is now garbage. Looks really nice, but is a very poor design.

Cheap quality light fixture.

I bought two of these for a spare bedroom. The bulb is very blinding so I purchased white frosted G4 bulbs, pretty standard. Now, no matter what I do, no bulbs will stay in the light, they just fall out. It is a poor quality, cheap light … it does not hang properly because it is so lightweight, and IF the bulb would have stayed in, it is crooked.

This light is beautiful. It gives off a great deal of light, was easy to install, and is dimmable. We get a ton of compliments on the lighting.

Cute little light

I like this light. Some have called it industrial, someone said it’s very farmhouse style, whatever it is I like it hanging above my sink in my remodeled kitchen.

Beautiful accent lights over our bar between the kitchen and Family room. We are very happy with them.(we bought 2) Simple and elegant. For some reason the plants love the light. One bulb burned out quickly but was replaced.

Gorgeous, casual elegance

We decided to replace our broken downdraft vent with an overhead hood vent for our island cooktop. The pendant lights we had previously needed to be relocated to make room for the new hood vent. I also wanted a more minimal look for the pendants since they would be right next to the hood vent, and I wanted to avoid a cluttered mix of elements. The lights look stunning. We have received many compliments on their attractiveness and warmth. The lights arrived quickly, however there were 2 small imperfections in the clear outer glass casing. Lumens customer service was super helpful in contacting the manufacturer, who shipped our replacement glass pieces quickly. Once they were installed, I could see we needed a dimmer. There's a certain kind of dimmer required (I forget the name of it now). Note, if you have a 3-way switch, you will need a "partner dimmer switch" for the second light switch. Apparently, there is a chip controller in the master dimmer switch, and you can't have 2 master switches or else they can't communicate with each other.

I've had this hanging over the island in my recently remodeled kitchen and it is so beautiful. Everyone that sees it comments on the crisp and unique light - the shape is adorable and just the right size. I wish I had room for more of them!

Clean Modern Look, but possible transformer issues

I bought 4 of these lights in 2017. Within a month of installation, one of the bulbs burned out leaving grayish residue inside the glass that was difficult to remove. The manufacturer send me replacement glass within a week. Then in 2020, during a power failure a transformer on one of the lights burned out. Again, Maxim lighting was super helpful and sent a replacement light fixture within a week under their 5 year residential warranty with proof of purchase. Keep in mind, these lights are not very bright - they are low voltage lights requiring special bulbs.
