Worth the money. Nice addition.

This has been a nice addition to our family room. Over a couple of years, the linen-like fabric has become slightly fuzzy, but probably no one else but me notices. One of the hinges is slightly bent, but it still works okay. I don't open it hardly ever. If it were to get daily use, I'm not sure that hinge would hold up. The other hinge is fine. The piece looks expensive and very mid-century. The top is comfortable enough for temporary seating. We keep a tray on it for drinks, etc.

Ottoman

The smell is horrible when it first arrives. It literally smells like butt. Luckily it goes away 🤣. It cleans nicely. Dog hair does cling to it but a quick vacuum and it's good. Does well with a wet wash cloth for toddler snack smudges.

One of my best Target purchases!

I love this ottoman! The faux leather looks like real leather but the material is extremely easy to clean (which is great when you have pets and a two-year-old). It was super easy to assemble, and I love that it has extra storage space inside. The fact that the top is split into two different tray/cushions is extremely convenient because my husband can have his feet up on one side and I can still have my decor (candles, coasters, etc.) or people can set their drinks on the other side. I just love this ottoman so much!

Love the color and its size

I searched high and low for a saddle light brown leather coffee table with the right dimensions for our L shaped sectional. The height works well with our sectional. Added bonus is it raises for storage and my husband can use it as a desk if needed when doing work or video calls. We love it! Seems really durable!

Five star construction and functionality

Perfect replacement for our TV trays. Very solid 'work surface' when opened. We eat here nearly every night. Love that I can dust under it, but it still has plenty of storage for our down throw, the big sheepskin, AND the pile of papers that I need to hide from company every so often! Only negative is that I had to get brown, but it's not a bed second choice, and we've adapted to it. That's the only reason it's not 5 stars.

Looks great.... storage smells awful

Beautiful ottoman and was exactly what we wanted! We have had it for a few months and has held up well to kids and normal daily use. The storage inside is bigger than I thought (a perk!). It takes a bit of effort to open the storage compartment, which is a good thing with toddlers in my opinion, and the close is very gentle. However… the storage compartment smells so. dang. bad. I have tried everything to get the smell out and nothing has worked. I’ve aired it out for days at a time, tried fabric freshener, baking soda, essential oils. Nothing. I can’t store blankets in the compartment like I’d hoped because they always stink. It doesn’t smell when the compartment is closed, and it really does look great, so we decided to keep it. But maybe don’t buy it if you really need the storage.

Holding up so well in a chaotic house

I have two large dogs, two cats, and a baby. This thing has help up beautifully. Our dogs with huge claws walk on to get on the couch sometimes, we put our feet on it, my son pounds his little fists on it when learning to walk. It's had milk, baby food, white wine, queso, soup, and salsa dribbled on it and always washed out perfectly. It's so much more durable than I ever thought it would be. It's coming up on a year in our chaotic home and looks as beautiful as it did when we got it. Plus, it was great to butt up to the couch and have a larger space for my baby to play on before he could roll or crawl. It's been such a great addition to our home and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Great multipurpose high quality ottoman

This ottoman looks high quality, is sturdy, and was easy to assemble. The material looks and feels nice. It is a pretty firm cushion which I like since when it is extended I use it as a coffee table. I recommend getting a tray for this ottoman if you plan to use it as a table for meals. When the top part is extended it is 26 inches from the ground which works very well as a table when sitting on my couch. The ottoman is 18 inches high from the ground when not extended. It remains stable even when it the top is extended. Assembly was easy. Just need to screw in the legs. This is a great multipurpose good quality piece of furniture for my living room!

Buyer Beware!

I loved the style! Loved how it would be easy to keep clean! Love the black, is there any other color? Ha! Loved the real wooden legs! So I Purchased in store as it was a return! Loved it until I spotted, “This product can expose you to chemicals including formaldehyde, phthalates, lead and chlorinated tris which are known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm.” Why!? if we are so advanced as a society, can we not have healthier products in our home? I’m taking back to the store! I don’t feel comfortable having my grandbabies, fur babies or my fam, hanging around it!

Not Comfortable and Has Terrible Smell

This ottoman is not very comfortable. The cushioning on the top of very thin and feels like you are putting your feet on wood. The inside of the ottoman also has a very strong smell. I've left it open for several days, trying to air it out, but it still persists. It's made all of my blankets smell awful, and the smell does not come out when I wash them. The fabric it is made out of also pills and wears out quickly.

Does The Job

Provides storage of throw blankets and over-flow seating when entertaining while remaining low enough so as to not obstruct the window view and contributing a modern-mid-century look. Fairly heavy but easy to reposition. Who knows how long the upholstered finish will last? The covering doesn't look like leather but doesn't look too cheap either - a happy medium. Stitching seems even but a few random threads were trimmed. Easy to screw on the 4 legs. I'm happy to find the floor protectors on the leg bottoms, but added felt to the plastic heads just for good measure. The walnut stain seem even with a heavier-coated top sheen than many that I have seen by comparison. For $190 each, these two ottomans are doing the job!

Grey Faux Leather

We ordered the 36" size in the grey color. I assumed it would be taupe-y in color when it arrived, which would be fine with our sofa. The size and storage function were exactly what we were looking for to go with our sectional, but the color was awful. The grey is less grey and more like a faded brown that has a wash over it. I'm not sure how to describe it and we packed it back up before taking photos. It's like the base of the color in the distressed 'cracks' is brown and then a grey-ish wash is over the top, making it just weird looking. I'd rebuy in an actual brown if it goes on sale again (for the quality I wouldn't pay more than $200ish for this).

Strong and well built!

anticipated. Love everything about this....was a little worried that the fabrication may look too much like vinyl...it doesn't! I chose distressed gray...looks like leather yet is soft to the touch. I ordered this primarily to store some items my husband is always leaving out on the couch; this is an easy solution for him that he will use (unlike previous storage solutions that he wouldn't). Once I saw it in person, immediately felt it would work for so many other areas of the house due to it's quality and versatility as seating and eating. Will order another soon.

Distressed GRAY? Not so much.

I love the quality of this item. It is a solid piece of furniture. I particularly like the hydraulic lift supports and secure the top is when in the open position. Lots of space for all my throws. Downside was that I bought the "distressed gray" which is closer to a bronze color. I can only see a hint of gray in the distressed areas, from a specific angle under very specific lighting. It doesn't match my living room at all but I decided to keep it since it would be a pain to return and otherwise, I like it.

Pros and cons

This took so long to ship out and then finally shipped but kept getting delayed. It is FINALLY HERE! I am pretty happy with it but I will list the reasons I docked a few stars. *it came scratched in 3 different places on the bottom granted, no-one will notice because it's on the bottom, but I paid *** for something and expected it to come in new condition. *one of the corners on the top is rounded while the rest are straight up and down. Idk if anyone would even be able to notice without me pointing it out, but I noticed. *the description of "faux leather" is what sold me. I have a messy 2 year old and I know how easy faux leather is to clean. This material is more microfiber in texture with the LOOK of faux leather. A little bummed about that. I don't think it will be easy to clean. *the material is very thin. I hope it keeps up well but I don't think it will! It's not all negative though! Here are some things I like: * I love the color (obviously a personal preference) *the open and close safety feature gives me peace of mind that my toddler isn't gonna slam his fingers. *SUPER easy to put together (just screw in the legs) didn't even need directions! *soft and comfy for my feet. *the versatility is nice! Currently using it as a coffee table/foot rest and it can be used as extra seating if need be. *the storage is pretty good size! I can fit about 4/5 throw blankets! Over all.. I'd recommend this table (not to people looking for faux leather though) and I am pretty happy with it.

I had to wait for this ottoman to be back in stock to order so when target’s notification system let me know it was available again I jumped on it. The shipping seemed slow to begin with and then was delayed due to the recent winter storm. It was definitely worth the wait though. It arrived in a large box and only needed the legs installed. Each leg is held on with two large bolts. Easily done in a few minutes and no wobbles! This ottoman is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. It’s very sturdy and large with a spacious storage area for the unsightly items cluttering my living room. The hinges hold the lid up at various degrees so no worrying about pinched fingers. The fabric has some texture to it and really looks like leather. It has a firm feel perfect for a tray of snacks or a board game and feet of course! It has great weight to it so it won’t be sliding around or easily tipped over when the floor is lava and it doubles as a bridge. Overall I’m so pleased with this purchase and I may just order a second one for my family room!

Nice enough

I got the distressed sale brown. It is a pretty color, but the fabric is not as expected. It's that woven fabric with the treatment to make it look like Italian leather and it an obvious faux. I am quite picky about this, but I'd rather have it be full pleather so I can wipe off spills and such. Other than the material it is good looking and nice. Lots of storage and, albeit surprisingly forceful, the hydraulic open is nice! You can set cups on it like a table without spilling easily and feet on it comfortably. One down side: the feet have plastic on the bottom and the thing is light, so without a rug it slides away from you if you want to rest your feet on the corner with your knees bent.. hopefully a rig will solve this.

I couldn't love this storage ottoman more! I've been looking for a very long time for a storage ottoman that would be sturdy enough to withstand a toddler jumping on it, has enough space to hold lots of blankets, and fits into the esthetic of my home. I can't across this one that I loved the looks of immediately, but didn't know if it would have enough storage. I ordered it anyways and am more than please! I can fit 7 throw blankets and 2 small pillows in there with ease. It looks beautiful, the fabric looks like a lovely aged leather, but is more of a brushed suede. It's so soft, very sturdy, and priced so well! I would definitely buy this again!

Impressed!

I am totally impressed with this ottoman. The only thing I am disappointed in is that it is a worn leather look. It looks great right now, but with two very young children, I wonder how long that is going to last. I was between this and the square version and I'm happy I went with this one, as I feel like it adds a nice dimension that wouldn't have been achieved with the square version. The ottoman itself is incredibly soft. The storage compartment is not that big, so if you're primarily looking for storage, you may want to keep searching. I really, really appreciate that the lift has a lift and hold feature with a soft closure.Great product for the price.

Wow! Table, Ottoman & Comfortable Seating/Leg Rest

It's a table! It's a ottoman! It opens for additional storage! And its comfortable extra seating! Well made. It's sturdy! Parents. This will hold up to young children. Probably not stains though. Spray with fabric protectant. The faux leather is smooth like silk. The color is true to photos. Came in one box. Less than 10mins to assemble. A one person job with a home tool set. Nothing fancy. Most guest see it and love it!
