Very happy with our purchase
We've used Farberware for years and are quite happy with this new set. A good competitor to other more expensive options. Really like the full stainless style as it can take the higher temperatures in the oven when necessary.
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY
I received my shipment of my pots and pans promptly. Sooner than I expected... I have used them all except the stock pot, with being summer, a bit to warm for what I make the most of in stock pots and that is soup. :) But I am very pleased. I did opt for the uncoated pans, I have two of the smaller frying pans with the coating and do love them also... but most happy with all of them. Great product and I was a bit distressed when I couldn't find them locally... but voila!! there was your website... Thank you.
MEH
I cooked with Farberware all my adult life that’s 50 years… The same pots and pans have served me well on my gas stove. I bought induction cooktop and needed to replace my old pots and pans which made me sad. The new ones are far inferior to the design and practicality of the original Farberware ones I owned
Disappointed product
Although this is a rather complete set the pots pit. When I went to the website, under warrenty it states that stainless steel pots pit when salt is added to cold water. Well, don't you think they should say something about that on the package? The second pot pitted when I cooked rice in it, no salt this time.
After one gentle use, the stock pot was ruined... The cheap and very thin stainless coating came off in a few spots. This was just simmering chicken for dumplings. The lids don't fit well on any of them. If you want to steam anything ever, these are not your pans. Attempts to contact the company were unsuccessful. I might as well have flushed my money down the crapper. Whatever you get, don't get these! The company changed hands, and the quality you used to be able to expect has gone the way of the dodo bird.
Extremely disappointed
I bought this recently and only used two of the pans. One discolored and the other looked like parts of the outer layer of the inner skillet pan were flaking off. I used to own Faberware and I expected more. Also one of the larger lid seals was bent. Unfortunately, Faberware states that only unused products may be returned. How am I expected to know if the product will fail unless I use it. Stand by your products! I don’t even feel like I could give these away for possible safety issues.
Poor packaging, great pots and pans.
The pots and pans set is wonderful and just as expected. My only complaint is that is was a Christmas gift and when it arrived, the packaging covered everything except the two ends which showed a picture of what it was. My husband saw the package was delivered before I did so his one big gift surprise was ruined. It was very disheartening.
Cooking with a Breeze
I absolutely Love my new Pots and Pans. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Excellent set
Excellent set of pots and pans. Heats evenly on my ceramic cooktop, easy to see cooking progress through glass lid. Only issue was the metal lid lift gets too hot to use, could be better if design had it wrapped in silicone. Also bought the 3qt pot to complete the set.
Would not recommend
I thought that being a stainless steel pan it would have been a good pick. However this pot is brown after just one use. I even followed the cleaning instructions and that doesn’t help. Worst pot set Ive ever owned.
Extremely nice set of pans. We furnished a second home, and this set gave us all the cookware we needed. They were extremely easy to clean. I only used Dawn and sometimes a little baking soda, but they cleaned right up. Each pan has a lid that fits and they take minimal space to store. I love this set. I may order another set for our NC home. I would highly recommend them.and would definitely buy them again.
Great product/no regrets!
Sturdy and well-made. Heat distributes evenly. Can be used on multiple cooking surfaces. Cleans up easily. TIP: Follow the cleaning and care instructions as it is important that you not damage the finish. I have been cooking for 60 years and have returned to good quality stainless steel. This set is great.
Disappointed
This set looks really nice but when you actually go to cook with them not so good. They are in no way NON-Stick everything sticks. You can't make over easy eggs because you can't flip them. They clean easy but just disappointed in Farberware. My parents have the classic set that's 50years old and still as beautiful as the day they got it. They truly don't make things how they used to.
Farberware Millenium Cookware Set- Inferior
Although these pots carry the Farberware name- they are well below par in quality. After using the fry pans one time, the inside bottom of pan was largely un-cleanable. The reason one would buy stainless steel is for their durablility and ease of food removal. I would not recommend this product and I would say to Farberware- how could you attach your long-standing good name to inferior pots.
great with induction cook top
We purchased a commercial grade induction range over two years ago when renovating our home. Finding a cookware set that was adaptable yet reasonably priced was a bit of a challenge. Having owned Farberware stainless cookware for over 20 years previously, we were pleased to find a non-stick set that suited our needs was a pleasant surprise. This collection has worked exceptionally for our daily use and we have not experienced any of the issues expressed in other reviews. We do not use the dishwasher to clean these pans for two reasons; first, cleanup is a breeze with the non-stick surface and secondly, no need to subject them to the harsh chemicals in today's dishwasher products.
Aluminum core cookware does not work with induction cooktops! Farberware calls this "induction compatible." Nonsense. Pans won't heat up unless there is a plate of thick iron-containing metal in the bottom of the pan. A thin layer of stainless steel is not enough to do this.
Best kitchen investment! Love!
I bought this set after I bought the exact same set from Amazon for $60 more. I returned the Amazon set and patiently waited for this delivery. I was nervous about using stainless steel. I cook nearly every day, most often twice a day, but on crappy plus and pans. I'm pretty skilled in the kitchen, though. The test, for me, was to cook an egg. I've read so many reviews about stainless cookware being horrible for coming eggs that I just needed to know of it was achievable for me. if it wasn't something that I could make happen easily I was going to just return the entire set and buy another ceramic coated sheet set. And I fully expected to completely burn the egg to the pan. I opened the box, washed everything in Dawn and hot water with a soft cloth. I put the skillet on my electric stovetop on a notch below medium. I waited about two minutes then added 1 tsp olive oil. I waited another minute and dropped my egg in. I was impatient and turned the heat to just touching medium. Because of the equisite shape of the skillet I was able to flip the egg with no spatula and not break the yolk. I let it go another 45 seconds, added a sprinkle of salt and fresh pepper and slid it into my husband's waiting plate. Let me say that I was completely and utterly shocked at how easy it was to do this. I've never flipped an egg like that before in my life! The tiny amount of oil made doing this so easy. Patience and a little lower temp that I'm used to was the key. I'm absolutely thrilled!
Excellent value & pretty
This set hits a sweet spot between quality and price. No, these don't heat and cook as beautifully as say, an All-Clad set. But it also doesn't cost an arm and a leg! They look like premium cookware and might look like you spent an arm and a leg.
I like the look of this stainless steel set. It suits my needs for the most part. I do need to learn more about cooking with stainless steel. It gets discolored easily when cooking at high heat and you have to scrub it out with steel wool every time this happens (magic erasers work better). The biggest draw back is that the smaller pots tip over if there isnt anything inside them due to the heavy handles. Also, the handles and lid tops can get very hot and I need to use a pot holder frequently when handling them.
Just what I wanted! I got them on sale and boy are they worth the non-sale price! I haven’t found anything of this quality with that price tag. Are they professional chef grade pans I would say no. But if you’re a home cook in need of an upgrade, this is it. Although they aren’t really non-stick to begin with (hello scrambled eggs) once you’ve used them a few times things start to stick way less. We have some cast iron skillets that are very non-stick, so I think we’ve been a little spoiled in that aspect (even though those are years old). Even if food does get stuck, cleanup isn’t bad at all. They are dishwasher safe, but I think hand washing will make them last longer. I do use the dishwasher on occasion when I’m feeling particularly lazy. They’ve gotten less shiny with use and a little stained, but that doesn’t affect the cooking ability. Plus, I’m not on a cooking show so what do I care what they look like if they still work great Also, we have really hard water where we live so that probably doesn’t help. They’re the perfect sizes for everything. The stock pot is great since when I make soup, I make a lot of soup. The little pot doesn’t stand up on its own because the handle is so heavy, but once you put enough stuff in it it’s fine. I especially like the high-sided skillet. It fits a lot and I can avoid a lot of messes that come with stirring something vigorously or misjudging the amount of food I’m making. The lids are nice and you can see what’s going on in the potpan when cooking without letting all the heat out (as long as the steam isn’t in the way). I really like that they can go from stovetop to oven too. Great purchase!
