Great valve kit for my American Standard deck mount faucet and hand shower. My husband and I have installed many faucets over the years but we had a lot of trouble figuring this one out. It comes with braided hoses 18 inches long and the instructions don't say how to place them so that the handles end up the proper distance apart. After the fact, I saw the product picture on the web site that shows how the hoses are supposed to be installed. Now I feel dumb because it's so obvious once you see it. To be fair, that picture is not on the box or in the instructions. You can also use copper pipe if you remove the inner caps where the braided hose connects. Side note: American Standard customer service is very nice and helpful.
