Leaks and Drips - Buyer Beware #2
Faucet leaked after a few months and resulted in damaged ceiling below that will have to be repaired. Seems to be exact same problem as the other reviewer on the Moen site where the valve leaks from inside the brass unit itself due to defect. Very disappointed.
BUYER BEWARE
We bought this part to go with our new bathtub faucet when we remodeled our master bathroom. Within a couple months we noticed the floorboards around the bath starting to swell and squeak.After tearing apart our brand new tile to see what was going on we discovered that the brass spout riser had a 2 inch long crack right down the metal. This is 100% a manufacturing defect.When we reached out to Moen about their “lifetime” warranty, we were informed that they can replace the part but will not cover any of the damage. Now we’ve got thousands of dollars in water damage and mold to deal with.Think twice before installing this part in your house. We will not be using Moen for any of our plumbing needs in the future, and we would recommend you do the same.
