Poor design, leaks like crazy

Count me among the other reviewers that complained of leaks. Remodeled our small bath over a year ago, and the door seemed fine. The shower got very little usage as we used our main bath. Two months ago I gutted our main bath for a renovation, and we started using this one regularly which is when I noticed water leaking into the basement. I tend to overkill when I install things, so every gap I could find was siliconed. Can only guess it's getting in through the pivot. Very upsetting as it's ruining what I spent months renovating. Lowes should be ashamed for selling this junk.

First, this looks fantastic in our bathroom. And for the money, you kindof get what you pay for. Pros: looks great. Seemingly sturdy glass. Mechanics work fine and smoothly. Cons: my husband built our entire house and fixes all our vehicles, etc.. He's pretty handy. He got this installed fairly quickly but not without some questions... The instructions weren't great. We keep wondering if we installed it backwards or something. It kept leaking because of a design flaw. I think he's used an entire tube of silicone trying to remedy the problem. But in the end, if the door swings out, there's no way to add the seal to the bottom of the door so that the water will drain to the inside. The seal catches on the bottom rail when you try to close the door, so the only way you can install the seal is with the lip beveled to the outside of the door. It's really counterproductive to shedding water. So yeah, had we known, we'd have installed the door so it would swing into the shower. Hope that helps. I'd still recommend the door for the price. It's way better than having a shower curtain stuck to your legs. And looks better too.

I had to install this shower door after overhauling a shower curb. I needed a very specifically sized shower door and our options were slim. I am really glad we chose this one. Even though it was just me doing the installation, I was able to complete it from start to finish in six hours. The directions were clear, everything was well labeled, and once that shower door was swinging nicely, opening and closing smoothly, and once I fastened everything down, I was very pleased and very proud of the results. Highly recommended!
