Saves food, money and really reduces waste.

This roll because it's the perfect size for freezing single serving portions. Even though there are only two us, and only one of us eats meat, I often buy "family" packs of burgers, chicken breasts, pork chops and steaks. As soon as i get them home, I break out my Foodsaver vacuum sealer and an 8" x 20' roll and package/label/freeze whatever I just bought in single serving portions. We, unfortunately, have chest freezers, I hate them because there's no way to keep them organized in a proper "older food on top" rotation. My point being, just last week I found a pork chop I packaged and froze over 2 years ago. Because i vacuum sealed it, it was in perfect condition; no freezer burn and no discoloration. It looked as good as the pork chops I froze 2 weeks ago, and my husband, the meat eater, thought it was fresh!

Great size, great price with Kohls’s coupon!

I love my Foodsaver, now 6 years old. This 8” size is better for a single person to store a single serving size of frozen soup (pre-freeze to deal with no liquid), or large portion of veggies (e.g. frozen spinach, also pre frozen). With a Kohl’s 40% off coupon, the price of these longer rolls (20’ vs 15’) was only $8 each compared to a sale price at Foodsaver directly. Note that the box of 3 has the longer rolls, while a box of 2 is only two 8” x 15’ rolls.

Sturdy

Seals easily. The material is sturdy. The little dashes on the edge serve as a guide when cutting the roll.

As a single person I still buy in bulk because I live in the mountains an hour away from the nearest large stores. With the food saver I can keep a good stock on hand to save trips and in case of bad weather. I would not be without this system.

So versitile

I buy quantity packages from grocery stores, Costco, etc. and then vacuum seal portions in the freezer. I also use these bags for leftover meals. The bags seal properly and are easy to make in different sizes needed. I buy this size and another small size

The vacuum seal bags are the best on the market in my opinion.I did give it a five star rating and they have a wonderful savings program for auto ship.I did however have a problem contacting the right people to cancel my auto ship.None of this would stop me from continuing to use these bags. They are great.
