Gives great results
This is my third time using the AR350 sealant. I have a stamped concrete patio, driveway, 2 walkways and front stoop. In 2018, I just did one coat on everything. It looked good but in 2020, it seemed to be starting to go, especially on the patio which is a shady area, so I resealed in 2020 and did 2 coats on everything. 4 years later, it still looks good but I decided to try the semi-transparent color for a two color look on the patio and am very happy with the result. I did the first coat in 2 colors and the second coat just with the clear.
Amazing Stuff!
It has been 3 years since I had my stamped patio poured. So, it was time to reseal it. After searching online for a sealer, I came across AR350 (Satin Sheen/Wet Look) by Foundation Armor. I read many reviews and decided to give it a try. I did have a few questions first, so I reached out to the company. It was a pleasure talking to them. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Afterwards, I placed my order and received it in no time. I followed the directions and away I went. It was very easy to apply with a brush and a roller. It now looks better than when it was poured!
Buy more for the best look
I previously applied two coats on my pavers a few months ago but they were porous and needed more. I gave one section three coats and one four. This greatly improved the appearance. Also, I put one coat on a stamped concrete patio and it looks great. I may come back next year with one more coat for uniformity. One section of concrete and adjacent pavers, coated at different times, clouded. I drizzled some acetone on it. It immediately disappeared and it did not come back upon recoat.
Excellent concrete sealer
I just used this product on my 2 car inside concrete garage floor and cover front porch. I also used the fine extra grip and I’m very glad I did. My concrete was sealed along time ago with acrylic and had mostly wore off, so I needed to seal it but I desperately needed something with texture because the floor finish is like glass and very slippery when wet.
outstanding professional quality
Used foundation armor ar500 to seal my cobblestone paver patio. I could not be more impressed with the results. Sprayed on with a chapin 1949 tank sprayer and back rolled to get perfect 2 coat seal. Put an amazing high gloss shine on my pavers. Water beads up brilliantly now so I know there is a good protective seal as well as the professional quality appearance. Easy to apply. Good to find a great product that is made right here in the U.S. I will not use any other sealant in the future
Great for Stamped Conrete
This stuff is great! I found this sealer on youtube. It's easy to apply. First I pressure wash and let dry for 24 hours. I then use a solvent resistant sprayer and then backroll. I used the fine non slip with the second coat. It really revives the look of stamped concrete. The VOC 50 version dries very quickly, so spray in small sections and have a second person immediately backroll. The dull concrete was last treated two years ago with the freshly treated areas next to the pool.
Read before. Understand the product.
Great sealer for concrete pavers. Results are amazing. Faded concrete pavers now look new.
I never leave product reviews but I feel this is an extreme case. The smell of this product is horrendous. We are deeply concerned about its toxicity. I don’t believe this should be used indoors and probably not even outdoors. The smell is so strong that you cannot come within 50 feet of the garage without feeling sick when the windows are open and this is over a week later. Not sure how best to proceed as removal would be tremendously difficult and to cover it with something else seems less than ideal. Absolutely do not use this product indoors or you will regret it.
Great product to work with.
I purchased this product and applied it myself. I am not a contractor. Simply, I am a DYI'er. The sealer was easy to work with.
Better than expected
I used this to seal my new patio. The patio is colored and stamped concrete. I waited about 6 weeks for concrete to cure before applying the product. I used an 18 inch roller to apply the product and a brush for tight areas along the edges. Since it only requires two coats, I disposed of the roller and brush after each coat since it was not worth trying to clean them with acetone or xylene. One big concern for me was having a slippery surface when wet since our hot tub is on the patio. I used their non slip additive and applied it with a seed spreader as suggested after the second coat. This worked better than expected and the additive added plenty of traction to the surface. One bottle was just enough for about 500 sq ft. I bought the 5 gallon container of sealer and it was enough for two coats on 500 sq ft with about 1 1/2 gallons left over. I will definitely be using their products when I refurbish some existing concrete surfaces on my property. Customer service by phone was outstanding and they answered all of my questions and then some.
Makes Stamped Concrete Look Like New
I applied the AR350 Satin Finish Acrylic Sealer to my 9-yr old stamped-concrete patio this Fall. The patio had not been resealed since its installation. So, this was maybe a little bit overdue. The surface was first spot treated with acid to remove/reduce calcification where a fountain had been standing and then power-washed. The surface was allowed to dry for 48 hrs before application of the first coat of sealant.
Overall Nice Product
I purchased the 5 gallon pail of Armor AR350 Wet Look Satin Acrylic Sealer to seal my stamped concrete patio. The patio had not been sealed in many years and was overdue. The patio was powerwashed and scrubbed with a broom and let to dry 48 hours. I followed the instructions for application, started the job in early evening with temperatures around 80 F. Used an 18 inch roller with 3/4" nap. Application was straightforward. Product has enough working life to keep a wet edge working across a large patio like mine. The AR350 did a great job hiding some of the faded sections of the patio and it now has a nice, consistent look. Only suggestion to the manufacturer is to add mixing/stirring instructions. Even if this is not required, that should be clearly stated. I searched the website and instructions and nothing is stated.
Best Sealer I Have Ever Used
I have a stamped concrete porch, sidewalk, and landscape border that has to be re-sealed every 2 years. I had used another product for this in the past and when I attempted to order it this year, I found out that it was discontinued so I began researching other sealers and stumbled upon this one. I used it today and all I can say is "Wow--Just Wow". Not only did it go on easier than the other sealer I used, the results far exceeded my expectations. Sealing a stamped surface requires a thicker napped roller which can lead to an unwanted build-up in the recessed areas. Compared to the previous sealer I used where I experienced a blistering effect in these recessed areas, this sealer went on much easier and didn't pool like its predecessor I used. In fact, I only used 1/2 as much of this sealer for the same job as I did with the previous sealer. I am amazed at how nice our sidewalk looks now and the results live up to the "wet look" verbiage in the description. I would highly recommend this sealer.
Used On Floors In a Concrete Building
I bought my first 5 gallons with Arabian Sand tint and Non Slip grit at the 1st of April. I am sealing a concrete floor after grinding in a concrete block building. I used the Non Slip grit on the stairs to prevent slipping if wet. By the end of April I needed another 5 gallons and purchased it.
Foundation Armor AR350, Great Product!
We purchased our garden home in Alabama with a back patio that had been pressure washed so much the aggregate is showing on the original section and the new section with a structure had mildew issues. After some research, we purchased a 5 gallon pail Foundation Armor AR350 online. Shipping was included in the cost which made it even more appealing. We used a 4” brush for edges and an 18” roller with pole to apply each coat. Directions were clear. We filled a couple of cracks with clear silicone. They do warn you about the smell. We in turn warned our neighbors. It compares to lighter fluid in all our opinions. First coat was sucked in so much my husband was afraid we wouldn’t have enough for a whole second coat, but we did with some to spare! We waited 48 hours in between coats due to a rain. Smell dissipated in roughly in that time period for each coat. It has been a little over a month and the product has delivered on promise! We are very satisfied and have already recommended to friends and neighbors!
[Rewarded Review] Works as advertised, solid product
I purchased 20 gallons to apply two coats to my 15oo sq ft driveway. I must admit I was a bit concerned as I had always used the Big Box latex products in the past. The first coat took 2-1/4 hours to apply. I used a 1/2" roller and as I have pavers that slightly taper off on the corners was not able to completely get the product into said corners. I would recommend a 3/4" nap roller if you have a similar situation. The final results are great with a deeper, richer looking finish on the pavers. I did wait until 5:30PM to start application as living in S. Florida the sun really heats up the pavers. I recorded 85, 105 and 113 degrees respectfully on my driveway from shaded to full late sun areas. The next morning I did not see any bubbling or clouding. I did apply the product in a vertical/horizontal and then diagonal process so I tried to get the best coverage and minimize any pooling or over-application. I got just over 150 sq ft/gallon coverage on freshly laid pavers. My 2nd coat required less product. I did use a mask to try to mitigate the fumes. It's a good product.
Pleased with darker color and wet look to our pavers
We had installed a 300sq' covered patio pool side 15 years ago, but never bothered to seal the pavers. But since our weather has changed, resulting in more frequent and heavier rain storms,
Great Product and Great Customer Service
I ordered the Armor AR350 based upon the positive reviews and I am not disappointed. The product was delivered early than estimated by Fed-Ex ground, however somewhere in transit the box and the inside container was dented, (I suspect the day of the delivery) and the container was leaking sealer inside the plastic bag it was shipped in as well the bag itself. I immediately contacted Foundation Armor customer service and talked to Mike. He asked me to forward the pictures I had taken before and after opening the box which I did. The same day he offered me either a refund or offered to send me another 5 gallon container, which I chose because I did want to use their product. He shipped me a new container the same day and I received it in order to apply it to my stamped concrete patio last Sunday and applied the second coat the following day. I applied the AR350 as recommended with a large nap roller and my 15 year old patio looks great again! I have used several others products on my patio over the years with mixed results as to how long they hold up. So I am hopeful that I will get 2-3 years out of the finish considering some of the past products I have used have only held up for 1 to 2 years.
wonderful product
I wish someone had told me about this 5 years ago. We had new pavers installed and they looked like bare cement, no color showing. I had chosen cafe mocha which was a verigated yellowish gold with brown. Company told me to seal and color would appear. I sealed several times thru the following years with no results. I was very frustrated because when it rained there was the color I wanted but as soon as it dried I wal left with concrete looking pavers. After reading article after article on line and reviews on your wet look sealer I gave it a try. I loved the fact that I could buy a sample size and no tax or shipping fees. I received product within 3-4 days (great service), dried an area and it was exactly what I had been looking for. I then ordered a gallon, again no shipping fee and was delivered within 3-4 days. I now look out at the courtyard area and I see a shiny, slightly satin beautiful area. I would recommend this product without hesitation
Works and looks great!
Used this on my stamped concrete pool patio. It had not been sealed since it was installed about 4 years ago. The concrete had looked kind of faded and the compass that was etched in had blended into the rest of the color. I bought two gallons of the Armortech product and it made the patio come back to life. As you can see from the pic, the compass now pops. I also used the anti-slip additive that FoundationArmor sells.
