It’s garbage

To begin the little tab to start the separation of the film just came off. So I scraped a piece to start separating. That actually worked after several minutes of s. Since I have two windows I wanted to start the other piece but nothing I did could separate the film from the backing. Als you have to have an exact measurement as you can make no mistakes. I feel it requires 2 ppl to work with.

Arrived quickly. Instructions clear. Easy to apply. Easy to trim and adjust as needed. Provides good privacy and filtered light. Non adhesive cling works well and eases concerns about adjustment or harming glass. Advise using a squeegee with a good edge - and then a towel or dishcloth between that edge and the film as you flatten it from the center to the edges to catch all bubbles and prevent wrinkles and rips. Not an environmentally friendly product but need to search for that solution to this problem. This works as advertised so far in a window that gets heat/sun on the outside and moisture on the inside. So far so good.

Pros:- Fairly easy to install: I had no issues placing it on the window, moving it around to adjust its position, and it adhering to the window well. I would suggest ordering a small kit, sometimes called wallpaper kits, that has an exacto knife and a squeegee type of tool. This helps to eliminate bubbles when you're ready to set it in place and the exacto knife plus the squeegee are very good at cutting off excess material while it's sitting on the window.- 100% blackout: this thing really stops all something like from getting in. If you really get into the edges well, you're looking at a complete blackout situation.- Seems to adhere very well when using soapy water: I've had no issue with it falling off or getting loose. It seems to have a very good hold on the window. Would definitely suggest getting a cheap spray bottle to wet both the window and the vinyl wrap with your soapy solution. Cons:- This is a heat MAGNET!! If your goal is to block the sun with 0 other considerations, then this is a good fit for you. If blocking heat is your goal, AVOID THIS. Because it is black facing both the inside and outside, while it does block the sunlight, it absorbs the infrared heat energy from the Sun and dumps huge amounts of heat into the living space. Standing 4 to 5 ft away from the window, you can still feel the heat radiating at you. It honestly may be worse than just having the sunlight come in normally. The wrap, when in direct sunlight, is too hot to touch for more than a few seconds. If sunlight hits your windows directly, you will need a wrap that has a white or some other reflective surface facing the outside that can repel some of that heat away. I will be replacing this wrap with another that has a white surface facing the outside. I bought one to experiment to see what the difference was, heatwise, and it is night and day, pun not intended. The new wrap with the white back is just warm to the touch, even in direct sunlight, and lets in only a fraction of the heat of this black-on-black wrap.

We have used privacy window clings in the past and enjoy their ease of use. We had high hopes for this product since the level of privacy is really great! However, the quality of the cling is not on par with products we have used in the past.

[Rewarded Review] HIDBEA 35.4 in x 98 in. Frosted Privacy Decorative Window Film , Gray

Another great product by HIDBEA window film company. Comes in a roll 35.4 inches wide x 98 inches long. Plenty of window film to do a full length entrance door /patio door and a few windows. I applied this to a double car garage with 6 windows. Extra thick to avoid tearing and wrinkling while applying. Gray window film to keep out UV rays from coming in and makes a sunny room turn into a little darker room ( like wearing sunglasses inside.) Lets in the light and easily can be looked out from. Directions are pretty simple, All you need is a squeegee,( I use a 4 inch squeegee ) scissors or razor knife , soapy water ( you can use any soap detergent as you wish ) a spray bottle for each ( soapy water and Windex ) tape measure, Just follow instructions and use plenty of soapy water to attach film to window. First clean window with Windex, measure area you are going to place this film on, ( length x width, cut film to desired width and height, remove backing from film , Smooth end of film goes on the glass, rough side faces you as you will apply, First spray on soapy water , then spray on the smooth side soapy water, hold film up to glass and put in place, use squeegee to get all the air bubbles out ( I use a 4 inch felt edge squeegee instead of a rubber one ) works better for me .Wipe up excess water with paper towel or a cloth as soapy water will drip out of the sides and top and bottom. It's really easier than it looks, Just remember dont be afraid to use too much soapy water, the more the better as you apply the film you might have to move the film around to get it to fit the location your putting this on. Also, you can always lift it from the glass at any time and start over if you messed up. Remember you can always remove this film the next day or years after you've installed it. , You can remove and install and install and remove, just use soapy water to reattach anytime you want to. I highly recommend this film because it's thicker than other brands and easy to work with. In one of my photos you can see the before and after the film installation ( one photo you can see the back end of my truck without the window film and a photo of the film applied and you cant see it at all, even if your face is right up against the glass,) But you can see out of the glass with a slight tint of gray ( like you're wearing sunglasses. ) Great product, the more window film to apply the better and faster you'll learn how to put window film on.

[Rewarded Review] Does the job, but getting good results takes time, care, and the right tools.

Our first-floor bathroom window offered no privacy at all. The house’s previous owners solved the problem by installing a particularly ugly blind. The frosted window film is an easy, thrifty, and far more attractive solution, but it does take time, effort, and the proper tools to get the best looking results. Fortunately the product is forgiving and comes in a large enough roll to allow for mistakes. The most important piece of advice I can offer is this: before beginning, read the instructions packed inside the box thoroughly. The instructions on the box itself are far from complete.

[Rewarded Review] Great solution to transform your glass windows into privacy windows

We installed this frosted privacy film on an exterior door to the garage and absolutely love the results! The exterior garage door has a large window on it, which is great for extra light, but terrible for privacy. For years we’ve made do with make-shift solutions, such as taping packing papers or posters to prevent any casual window shoppers from viewing everything in the garage (used as a workshop). No solution lasted the test of time. We considered installing blinds, but were hesitating knowing they would collect so much dust (not to mention spiders and dead bugs). We picked the film up having no experience with a product like this, but the installation was a breeze and it did end up looking really good. The step by step guidelines are quite helpful. We didn’t have a great squeegee, but it still worked. Perhaps, a harder edge squeegee can give better results to remove the bubbles in the end. You need to use lots of soapy water and measure twice, cut once. We used scissors after marking the film. We had to make sure to have a perfect line from one end to the other, so it would have been great if the removable protective film had grid lines on it to help get a straighter cut. That being said it is also possible to start with an oversized piece and trim it with a razor blade as you install. Overall, this is a great solution to transform your glass windows into privacy windows.

[Rewarded Review] Super Easy and Fast!

We have a couple of bathroom windows that are close to our neighbor's property line. Although we have shades on the window and a tree outside, I always wished that we had ordered privacy glass when we built our house. Now I don't have to worry about it after I applied this privacy film!

[Rewarded Review] Great in our Master Bath

We wanted to get some light into our master bath, but wanted to retain privacy as well and this was the perfect solution. The film allows us to finally now leave the shades partially open, letting in plenty of light, but retaining the privacy we wanted. The film looks great, and even pretty close, it looks like the glass came frosted.
