Only reason I gave it low score is because I thought it would have more structure. It’s flimsy. I’m used to a spring futon mattress. Now that I know and feel the difference between them I will go back to my spring futon mattress. It is a reasonable price .

I would choose 0 stars if i could. The absolutely wrong color arrived. We ordered gray but got black. It arrives just in a shrink wrapped plastic - no box and we thought that was outer cover. Now opened and expanded and black Walmart customer service says I have to ship back before I can get correct item. That will be so much work on my part for a cheap $100 mattress. You get what you don't pay for. :(.

Regret my purchase

Really disappointed in this. I know it’s not the most expensive product but you can feel all the bars of the frame through the mattress. Mattress is thinner than stated even letting it air out and fluff up for the time stated in instructions. I’m going to have to buy a mattress topper for this unfortunately. I regret my purchase.

UPDATE AFTER A FEW YEARS: I ended up giving up on the mattress as it just became uncomfortable as any other within a month. Even the memory foam didn't save it. Mediocre at best. Also the ad kind of felt like a lie where it made it look plush.

Better and Bigger than Expected

I needed something thicker and not so cheap looking like the one that came with my futon. this one is awesome. if i had known this I would have just got the better mattress when i bought the futon.

Mattress is very poor quality

When we received the mattress it was delivered by fed ex. They destroyed the box so they removed the mattress from the box. It arrived in nothing but the plastic bag which had holes in it and the delivery driver drug it through the snow. Then when we took it out of the bag it said to let it sit for 24 hrs to reach full thickness. I have let it sit for over 24 hrs and it a not an 8 inch thick mattress. It is 6 inches thick and the foam is so light and cheap you can feel all the bars on the futon. The cover is super baggy and it just looks incredibly cheap….not at all like the pictures online. Online the 8 inch mattress says it has a gross weight of 30 pounds and a net weight of 27 pounds. The mattress says it has 22 pounds of fill and there is no way the fabric weights the other 5 pounds so I don’t even know if we received the correct product as there was no box and no paperwork other than the sheet saying to let it lay flat for 24 hrs to reach maximum thickness. I now have an expensive oversized dog bed!!! Very disappointed and do not recommend!!!

Not as expected

Received the wrong color in the first place. Ordered grey but received black. Now, after 6 days, it's still not expanded to 8". Has only expanded to about four and a half inches thick. Extremely disappointed.

Not happy with Walmart

I ordered the futon mattress that's in the picture. They sent me a queen size pillow top for a bed. Now can't get any one to talk to. Tried 3 times and no response. This makes me angry to throw away my money on something I didn't order. I am so done ordering from Walmart. Beware of what you order because you may get ripped off as I did. This is a mattress protector, nothing like a futon. It is 10 inches above the back of frame. Nothing like the picture I ordered.

Delivered today to chicago area, glad that was sunny day on October, Otherwise it would be a disaster for mattress, because it came in a plastic bag, NOT in a box, i do mot know it supposed to come like that or a box just disappeared on a way here. Thrown away outside of 3 level apartment, outside building, glad that was no rain today. What if a buyer couldn’t carry it to 3rd floor?! If delivery means just “delivery NEAR to your apartment “ then you guys need to clarify it. Because i am expecting my order to my house or door!!! 1 star for delivery and 2 star for mattress because its not an 8 inch as described

"8 inch" "full size" mattress is neither 8 inches in depth, nor full size. I'm still hoping it still inflates some, but I'm not confident it will. Feels like I got burned on this one. Even if it fluffs up some, it's at least 6 inches too short. I can't imagine it will actually attain anything like 8" of depth.

Decent for the price, but wouldn't recommend

While budget-friendly, the futon mattress is nothing to boast on quality. It's basically two lumpy foam pieces tacked together. I guess I was hoping for something more dense. It's decently comfortable, but I would have paid the extra money for something better and made of a memory foam mix.

Not a sofa! Just a mattress! Bad delivery!

It is only a mattress! And it doesn’t come with the frame ( like a sofa ) make sure to read the description before buying! I thought it comes like the pictures! But its not a sofa! It just came by itself! So I’m gonna return it! Also bad delivery! I said to hand it to me to my apartment! I was at home all day long! He didn’t bother to call or press on the ring to buzz him in! He left it outside the building down the road! Where anyone could have stolen it! It was very light! Bad delivery!

Not as pictured

I ordered the grey color but I received the black color. Plus, this mattress is not as long as they stated. Since this item is large it would be too difficult to return it. So I will just work with what I got. The mattress is soft and comfortable though and looks nice.

Definitely not an 8in futon mattress

I am disappointed. I ordered two of the 8in mattress and it is literally 6in. One is not even 6in. You are selling futon mattresses that are not true to the size someone ordered. Not comfortable and you can feel the frame while sitting on it. I just ordered from amazon two mattress toppers hoping it will help. It would be more a pain in the TOOKUS to return them. This is what we use as our Livingroom set. I guess you get what you pay for.

Its comfortable, it does what its supposed to and the price was very good when compared to other items of the same kind. It was also much less then dealing with other major retailers, one of which wanted to charge the same price for shipping as the cost of the product. A nice daybed and a brand new twin size mattress can run you about $225 on Amazon but the cost of shipping is also $250.

This item dose even deserve one star. It the worst thing I ever bought from wayfair.

Don’t Waste Your Money!

Don’t waste your money! This is not an 8” futon mattress. I could easily pick up the mattress when it was delivered because it only weighs 32 pounds. I got this one because the description says that it was 8 inches We wanted something substantial because we’re using it for a regular bed. For the price, this is not what we expected so I’m returning item without opening it and will look for one locally where I can try it out. To me it doesn’t even look and feel like a full size mattress.

Less than described.

This is nominally an 8-inch thick mattress. The measuring was apparently done by one of those insecure males who stand shorter than a tall woman yet self-report their own height at six feet. God knows what they might report about the length of their ... well anyhow, this "8 inch mattress" fit into a slipcover designed for an 8-inch mattress with about four inches left over.

Could be worse but sure could be better.

It's NOT 8 inches thick. Can feel the bars underneath even with two yoga mats under the mattress. It took twice the 24 hours suggested to expand this much. It really doesn't fit my full size futon very well. It's actually too wide. My futon is about 6 years old and the old mattress is about as comfy as this one. Both are DHP brand. The back is a full four inches higher at least, above the back rest when sitting up. It's a good fit laying down, tho. The color is perfect and the material feels nice.
