No Dairy Bin

I like the counter depth refrigerator . It is only about 3-4 inches but it makes a big difference. I like the style and look of the fridge. The only thing I did not realize is that it does not come with a dairy bin. There are even notches in the door to accommodate one. So far, I would give it five stars if it came with the dairy bin. It is really my fault for not researching it further before the purchase. Perhaps I could have found one with a diary bin for around the same price.

So Far So Good

I've had the fridge for a little over a month so far and I really like it for the most part. There's some minor quirks with how it was packaged that annoyed me. Several of the stickers and plastic covers were difficult to fully remove. They either left behind marks or adhesive residue or were tucked between panels that aren't easy to separate for such a minor reason. Otherwise it's working great!

Very difficult to operate the water dispenser!

We just had this for a few days and had to have it replaced!! The design and size are great and we bought it as had the internal water dispenser. It was very difficult to get the water out as you need to open both doors and you will need to stand at an angle with one hand pushing the button and the glass in the other hand! Puts a lot of strain on your back! Makes loud noises when pressure released!

[Rewarded Review] Buyer Beware: Complete Failure in Only Three Years

I wanted to provide a review that sheds light on the longevity and reliability of this product. I bought this fridge from Best Buy in August 2021, paying top dollar for it due to appliance shortages. A mere three years later, it has been replaced due to a leak in the sealed system that I was advised was not worth repairing. The functionality of this fridge was good while it was working. The key here is while working. Having to replace something I paid over 3000 dollars for a mere three years later was a bitter pill to swallow. The fridge has now been replaced with another brand. I can honestly say I will never purchase another GE appliance again. I do not believe the quality is there since the acquisition by Haier.

Frig/Freezer

Received our new frig/freezer about a month ago, so far running great. Staying very cold, like the slate black finish.

GE Will not stand behind Junk in less than 2 Years

Unfortunately, this refrigerator is junk and GE will not stand behind it. The unit I have was in a Spec Home and never even used daily. It was manufactured in in 2022 and does not keep cold. After a service technician and service call charge $$$$ I am told it is junk because it is a leak or compressor issue. There was a glimmer of hope when I heard that GE has a 5-Year warranty on the sealed components. However, not the case on this unit.

Noise

Can I say that I was a stupid fool to purchase an appliance from HD & even more stupid to buy a GE refrigerator! It makes a high pitched noise constantly & GE says it’s normal & won’t do anything about it. If this is what “normal” GE refrigerators ALL sound like-as I was told-purchase ear plugs as we hear it all over our home. I wish I had purchased any other brand except GE but my trusted appliance repairman said it was a “decent” brand. The delivery guys couldn’t connect the waterline & so they left the refrigerator without it running & after 2 days we got a Plummer out-then 24 hours to “cool down” & the noise started & continues constantly. ENERGY STAR?????? I hardly think so!

Fits in kitchen very well. So far, no issues with the product. I like it.

Poor quality & loud

Upon receiving this refrigerator I plugged it in immediately. The refrigerator has been loud since day one. I called Home Depot. They instructed me to give it a break-in and insured me it will quiet down.

[Rewarded Review] Do not buy

Bought this refrigerator along with matching appliances not even 4 years ago and it’s a heavy paperweight. Freon leak and not salvageable. I have never spent this kind of $ and in such a short amount of time to have to dispose and repurchase. My biggest mistake was but buying the extended warranty but who knew it was garbage. I would have hoped for at least 10 years but my understanding is everything is made cheaply anymore. Very upsetting!

Love it, truly beautiful and really big size on the inside.

Horrible Refrigerator

This is a horrible refrigerator. The doors are hard to close and do not automatically close. There is no indicator to change the filters when they are due. There is no tray outside by the water dispenser. Some of the shelves on the side of the ice maker side are so small that you cannot fit anything on those shelves. The inside sliding shelf for meats etc in the refrigerator if you pull out too far you cannot get it back in.

This is a small capacity refrigerator. We were limited in the dimensions of the refrigerator, but never really expected there to be so little space for the price we paid. I guess the French doors and bottom freezer are what drove the cost up.

Best Refrigerator ever

Wow this refrigerator is fabulous the amount of space inside is incredible and we absolutely love the look of it.

Do not buy!

We purchased this in 2020, mainly because of the GE name. All of our appliances have been GE. First, we had an issue with the dispenser and had to go months with it not working. The depth of the refrigerator has been an issue. We can barely fit anything in it. The freezer freezes up all the time, and we have to constantly remove ice buildup. Our most recent problem is the light stays on when the refrigerator is closed, lighting up the whole kitchen. This is our worst purchase!

Doors Open Beside a Wall

After looking for 2 weeks at every style & brand, thus was one of the only ones that would fit in our space beside a wall. These doors don’t take up near as much space when open as other brands. I read all the reviews and almost didn’t settle on this one due to complaints of loud ice maker. We haven’t noticed it being that loud at all…certainly acceptable noise. One complaint is the design of the freezer bins. I wish they had flat bottoms to better organize items. Bins are quite small because of counter depth design. I have to cut back on buying freezer items I may not need right away. One more complaint is the water filter has to be GE and it’s quite expensive. You can not buy a generic brand. Other than that it’s a great fridge and buying from Costco was the best thing we did. Great service, delivery and price.

Nice fridge! Wish it had an ice chute funnel.

A nice fridge with a water and ice dispenser and other features we wanted. The freezer is well organized with a sliding upper shelf that helps make it easy to find items. The ice dispenser would have benefited from a chute funnel, to prevent ice from bouncing out onto the floor, which has happened many times when kids are using it.

Perfect Fit

This replacement fit perfectly in my space. The lighting is phenomenal! Great customization features. The taller water/ice dispenser feature will help with water bottles /pitchers too. Don’t spill because there’s nowhere for the overflow to go. Maybe a different tray in the future ?

Issues within months, failed after a year

This refrigerator is absolute garbage. The first one we bought had issues within months and completely failed one week after the one-year warranty expired. The manufacturer replaced it with another of the same model (thanks to an extended warrantee from the seller), and now this new one is already having issues within months again. I do not recommend this model at all.
