On what basis does purifier

On what basis does purifier know when it is time to replace a filter? Replace Filter light came on, and Filter looks like new! Is replacement determined by hour of operation, or is their more magic to this? Also, when unit is run on High setting . . . noise is very loud, and obnoxious

Well. I haven’t tried it yet . Usps is horrible here. It was delivered to the buildings management office. I haven’t had a chance to go there yet. I wish I would have had a choice , at purchase, to choose a preferred carrier. So I cant rate the product yet.

I purchased a PuroAir cleaner

I purchased a PuroAir cleaner 2 months ago, then ordered a replacement filter, which was delivered last week. When the filter was delivered, I checked the filter in the air cleaner. Despite using the air cleaner every night, the filter is still pristine and shows no sign of dirt whatsoever. Also, the filter indicator is only yellow for a few seconds and then is consistently green. This makes me question how effective the air cleaner actually is. (I’ve since read other reviews reporting the same.) Especially since I have pets, I would think that the filter be showing signs of some deterioration at this point. I had an older air cleaner that used a Hepa filter and a charcoal filter (used in the same room) that used to capture everything. I will continue to monitor, but the jury is still out on this one.
