Low quality, paper thin and horrific smell
On the surface the rug doesn't look bad its pretty much as pictured. However I received a rug with what I believe are glue stains. Unfortunately I didn't notice the stains till I unrolled and laid the rug. They sent me a B grade rug and trying to charge me $* to return it. I read other reviews saying the rug is thin but that is normal for a cowhide rug. I would mostly agree with that however this thing is next level thin. This is thin I would say that is normal when you purchase the cheapest cowhide rug you can find. I have another nuLoom cowhide rug that I bough like 10 years ago for over double the price of this one. It's a huge difference in quality, thickness and finish. The edges are finished. The stitching looks much better. It feels like you have rug underfoot and I def don't recall my home smelling. This Safavieh rug is like a big coaster. It's been in my home for a week and still smells horribly not matter where I move it. As far as the stitching the glue stains on my rug make me believe the stitching is decorative and definitely doesn't look as uniform as my previous rug. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I included pics of the edging, glue stains and my 10 year old cowhide rug so you can see how a better one is finished.
Upscale, very expensive look
Beautiful. Piece of art. Superb quality. There is a lot of arguments about its endurance, but so far so good. I don't expect it to last under high traffic, so common sense should work. Though it's just 1 month since we put it, so hard to say upon this.

Beautiful carpet. Definitely darker than what's pictured. It has started to shed. This review is +6 months from the time of purchase. It now has patches that look like leather swatches and the hide hairs are gone. So suggest putting this in low traffic area where you would only step on it a few times a month. Not for daily trafficked areas.

This is a nice, high quality, neutral rug and it sits in the entry way of my art gallery. It is interesting and quirky yet neutral enough to not take away from the artwork. It looks expensive. Thanks for carrying such a high quality item. I have purchased several rugs from this brand and have been thrilled with the quality.
