Buy literally any pet feeder except this

I bought two of these -- same exact model -- and they run on DIFFERENT apps: Petlibro lite and Petlibro. So if you have two pets, you have to use two different app. This is a major inconvenience when I'm out of the house and have to explain to sitters to DOWNLOAD TWO DIFFERENT APPS. What's the point of buying the same brand? When I complained to Petlirbo they told me they would send me a new base that's compatible with the new app and the base was completely broken and missing parts, the food fell right through. Even when trying to make things rights, this company is massively incompetent. Don't let your pets rely on this bad technology.

The Schedule Feeding doesn't work

I have had to troubleshoot this every week because the feature that lets you schedule automatic feeding does not work. I keep getting "status unknown" on the feeding status and I have to completely forget the device on my wifi network to reset it. This is causing anxiety because we can't trust the feeder to actually feed my cats while I am away. I would 100% NOT recommend this feeder. It has nothing but issues

This pet feeder is super helpful!

The PETLIBRO Black Granary WIFI Pet Feeder is a lifesaver! With its 21.13-cup capacity, I no longer worry about frequent refills, and the WIFI control lets me schedule feedings remotely, which is super convenient. The app is easy to use, and the portion control ensures my pet gets the right amount of food. The single tray design is simple to clean, and it dispenses food reliably. My only suggestion is a longer power cord, but the backup battery solves that issue. Overall, a great smart feeder for peace of mind!

Good dispenser with a small issue

We purchased this as a second food dispenser prior to a 4 day vacation. We have 2 cats and had someone coming to check on them twice but didn’t want to leave food out all day so after looking into different options, decided to purchase the PETLIBRO food dispenser. We are happy with it overall - it is functional and served its purpose. We were able to track feeds through the app which was great but it did lose connection a few times (not sure if it’s the dispenser or our WiFi). On the third day, the bowl was “backed up” and we thought it was overfilled, but we later found out that the food was just blocked when we had our friend stop by to check on the cats. Fortunately, we had someone visiting but it could have been problematic otherwise. I’m not sure why the food became blocked (maybe bowl positioning?), but we haven’t had it happen again and besides that, we haven’t had any other issues. Would purchase again.

Really like it

I bought this so my cat can get food in the middle of the night. It works really well. I love the way you can size each scheduled feed differently, the log showing it worked and being able to manual feed from the app in case he wakes me up at 2 am to be fed.

For the first 3 months the device worked great every now and then the device would disconnect itself from the WiFi but I would be able to reconnect quickly however in the last couple of months the device disconnects continuously and takes days before I am able to finally reconnect to WiFi. I tried all of the options given. Resetting router, hotspot, Bluetooth and nothing. I emailed their support line and although they were able to verify how often the device disconnected from WiFi, they would NOT replace my device even though the warranty is for 1 year and I am still within the warranty period.

Did not work for us

I am so disappointed in this. I thought having a wifi dispensing feeding would be better than the battery operated one we had (which worked well for 10 years until it broke.) I liked the idea of being able to monitor it while away. Well...it randomly loses it's connection so the cat wasn't getting food dispensed. Fortunately, a family member was home and was able to turn it back on, but this has happened so many times that I just use it as a food holder and bowl now. There were google suggestions on how to fix the problem but honestly solving the tech issues of my cat's feeder over and over is not something I want to have to do. Riding it out until I'm going away again, and I'll get a battery operated one. I do not recommend this product.

I like this feeder but when I set the feeder to 20 grams but the dispensed amount is 27 grams I emailed Petlibro and this was their response.

I would have given this feeder 5 stars if I hadn't bought more than one product from Petlibro.

Bought this for when we go away and leave our cat for a few days. I’ve trialled it while we’re at home and have found it very reliable and easy to connect to the internet. Easy to programme as well. My only criticism is that it doesn’t dispense the correct amount of food. Mine is programmed to dispense 30g twice a day, but it only seems to be dispensing between 23g and 26g. Having said that I’m very pleased with it and can make adjustments to the feeding amounts now I’m familiar with it. I haven’t recorded a voice control as not needed, because as soon as my cat hears the food being dispensed, she’s there waiting!

I tried two other feeders before this one. Both were duds. This one is fantastic! It took a bit of effort to get the plastic divider to scootch to the right for dispensing into the two bowls, but it works great now. You might need to manually clear the drop zone on occasion, but that's no big deal. The app lets you easily set up multiple feeding schedules, and totals up the amount of food dispensed during the day. Other warnings are displayed on the app when they occur; and, you can send an extra manual feed, when needed, too! I love this thing! My babies do, too!

I was looking for a 5G WiFi feeder so I don’t have to do much setting up. It is very easy to operate and setting up scheduled feed was a breeze.

Petlibro Granary WIFI 2.4g & 5G Automatic Cat & Dog Feeder

2 of the 3 devices I purchased will not connect to my Wi-Fi at all. I spent a whole day working on this issue, the vendor was responsive to help but they said that they would need to send me a base replacement. The one that does connect to my Wi-Fi, keeps disconnecting after I move it to the next room over (from living room to kitchen) which is less than 20 feet from my router. I was not aware that this product REQUIRES to be within 20 feet from the router to work. None of the products perform as shown on the description. The only good thing about my experience with this product is that it made me realize I have to move my pet's food area if I want to continue to use this product. My cats are extremely picky so I will not be using this product because moving their eating area will be too disruptive for my pets. I am requesting a full refund.

Excellent Auto Feeder

I have never used an auto feeder before but figured this would be convenient for when my wife and I are away. This gives the peace of mind that I know my cats are always fed on time even if I'm away or forget because of things going on at night.

Chewy is amazing, Petlibro needs improvement

First off, Chewy is awesome. My package got lost in the mail and they replaced it, no problem.

Very useful, but wasteful if using batteries

Overall I love it. I feed several community cats, Possums, skunks.... and I think it's very useful. However, it will completely drain batteries within a week. Would be nice if they made a rechargeable battery pack for it that actually lasts. My other feeder that is not wifi capable takes forever to drain batteries.. Like a year or more. I use it outside, and have assumed it's not water rated, so I try to unplug it when I know a storm is coming. Would like a cover for the plug outlet. But overall, using my Ring cameras, i can feed the community kids from bed. 😁

Great Auto-Feeder

This is a great auto-feeder. Extremely easy to put together (I installed it in just a few minutes without even using the instructions). This feeder is equipped with Wi-Fi so that it is possible to use mobile control! This becomes super useful when I'm out of town as I travel frequently for work. I personally use the "Feed Now" function in the mobile app the almost but one can also easily set up different feeding amounts, intervals and frequencies. I feel much relieved during those days I can't be home with my fur friends with this feeder. I do want to mention that this feeder comes with a premium price. So if you are comfortable with the price, I would recommend this feeder to those who want to enjoy the convenience, especially during the travel days.

My dog loves it and so do I!

This machine works great. I do recommend the slightly more expensive camera version although I didn’t buy the camera model. I bought this model because I already have a camera in my garage. Setup time was literally plug play. It works exactly as expected and easily handles the larger kibble of my labradoodle dog. I was pleasantly surprised that it comes with a water bowl and power adapter for its usb-c cord. The only con is that it dispenses the food kinda slowly, but that’s because it weighs everything out. I love when products just work. And this just works!
