Excellent BBQ

Excellent BBQ, heats up very quick. Easy to use. Only gripe I have is that it is cast iron grids. Would've liked stainless steel grids, but at this price range it is understandable. I suppose eventually I can replace with stainless steel. Build quality is solid.

Great BBQ better warranty

This model is so popular the only one they had left was the display model , which was fully assembled, so I can’t comment on the assembly, but I can say it started right up cooked well and no flair up . I recommend this Barbecue.

Ordered this from HD, No problem with shipping, came nicely packed. Took a while to assemble, although assembly was smooth following the given instructions. Was told by a HD employee that there was an included stainless steel double layer insert on the lid: turned out Nopolean does not offer this option on the freestyle models unfortunately. Carefull what your told by their employees, as they don't know any better than the website unfortunately, no clear pictures or description were shown for this although the pics under the lid hide it quite well. That being said, the grill works as advertised.

Good quality barbeque, excellent warranty. The grill is great, no crazy flare-ups nice even heat. I have not had a side-burner before but needed one at my cabin. I am finding it difficult to control the heat, unable to simmer anything.

Missing and damaged parts

Had a damaged side panel that took a week to replace. Then found no lock nuts so had to get replacement parts at the local Ace hardware

I would buy again

Great grill, easy to clean. The door wants to come off at times. It has came off a few times during storms . The drip tray falls out easy too. You just have to vigilant so you don't make a mess on the patio

Will not stay lit.

Grill came preassembled but will not stay lit. Still have not been able to use it, and I travel a lot so have not had time to tinker with it. I would expect a brand new grill to work out of the box and not require repairs.

Putting My Trust In Napoleon Part 2

This is my second purchase of a Napoleon propane barbecue. Assembly went well and I have already enjoyed many meals in the short time I have owned it. I love the look and function. My only issue is the flame blow-out issue sometimes with very little wind. Initially I need to determine which burner out of 4 is out so I can restart it. Who needs a bottle opener on a barbecue nowadays??

Great Grill! Worth every penny!

The Freestyle 425 is a great grill.

Not much of a stand out.

I was very excited to crack open my new napoleon and start grilling. It grills pretty good not much better then the cheaper grills and it doesn't hold heat like my 12 year old direct competitor grill does. So to me not much of a stand out.

Worst Napoleon Ever - REBEL is a fail

After 30 or so years, of Loyalty to a CANADIAN brand, and 4 Napoleon BBQ's later (not to mention multiple recommendations to friends and family over those years) finally cutting the cord with Napoleon. Like other reviews, this BBQ has by far been the absolute worst I have ever owned (and as a matter of fact in this case was a gift from me to my cousins at the family cottage last summer). Having been incredibly impressed over the years and completely satisfied with Napoleon product and service ...which prompted me to buy Napoleon for the 5th time..I am now resolved to move to Webber permanently. This device corroded almost immediately..where Napoleon after less than a year was willing to replace the lid based under their 10 year bumper to bumper warranty in the past..and is now claiming that its my fault for 'cooking' on it. They suggested that this wear (after less than three months with a new lid provided by them at no cost to me) is 'normal'. I said - if thats normal, I don't want anything to do with your product going forward. They offered me a 25% discount on a new Lid...I said - ok so now I'm going to pay for a lid that will do the same thing in less than a quarter after normal use? No thank you...Napoleon should be embarrassed to profess that after 3 months with a new lid that cooking will produce this result as normal. Do yourself a favour..move on from this particular unit...the Rebel line is a complete fail for Napoleon and if you look online you will find dozens of complaints about this generation of grills.. Oh and by the way - customer service repeatedly suggested cleaning the lid will resolve this...and in three interactions didn't have the decency to suggest how to best clean it... After attempting...impossible to clean and looks just awful...It's a design fail...and they will not admit it....Thanks for playing Napoleon...but this was my last unless someone in QA is actually willing to work with me to get the right BBQ on the deck at the cottage....

[Rewarded Review] What an excellent BBQ Grill

I recently purchased the Napoleon Freestyle 425 BBQ grill to replace our very old one. I had Best Buy deliver & assemble the Grill. The quality appears to be excellent as does the design and functionality. It works very well and I am pleased with the purchase. Also it came with a very nice cover that secures down around the bottom of the BBQ.

My favourite barbecue I’ve ever owned. Heats fast and evenly. I get an awesome sear on my meat. Every meal I’ve cooked on this barbecue my family has loved! I highly recommend this barbecue to everyone!!

Grill entspricht meinen Erwartungen. Der Zusammenbau war nicht einfach, kann aber mit etwas Zeit gut bewerkstelligt werden. Ich habe einen halben Tag gebraucht. Der Grill ist gut konzipiert und die Materialien wertig.

Very nice bbq

I've used my Freestyle 425 multiple times now since my recent purchase. It has performed very well. Lights every time and heats up fast. I purchased the tray liners directly from napoleon to make clean up easier. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Assembly was reasonable. Overall quality appears high, however, the black plastic control knobs are cheap and almost impossible to read. Napoleon fell way short on that.
