Return spring woes

I bought two of these for the house and the second one the return spring got stuck... Exchanged it at the store for another and that one same thing after a few days. I'd recommend not buying one of these recessed door bells. I tested a few in the store and took a few to find one where the spring worked

New, Heath Zenith, doorbell button/switch broke on first use

This plastic "pushbutton doorbell" replaced a very similar looking metal one I had that had a crack in the illuminated button itself. The screw holes for the plastic one didn't quite line up with the old metal one. Consequently, I had to drill a new hole to fit the plastic one. Once installed, the plastic door button stuck in the activate position and I couldn't get it to spring back. Consequently, I returned this item.

button stuck down and burned out my transformer

I installed two of these and was happy with the appearance but in less than a month, one had stuck down and I did not notice it right away until I saw that the light was not working on either button. I then tested them and neither worked. I found the transformer for the door bell and it was very hot and no longer giving the correct voltage. Now I have to replace both the buttons and the transformer. Not good!

Installed one of these, hard to get it in the hole in the door jamb, and the button sticks in the on position.

Button would not pop back out.

Not a flush mount door bell button.

I bought this to replace my door bell switch. Unfortunately it requires a 5/8” hole into the door jamb for mounting. The one it is replacing is a flush mount and I don’t want to drill into the jamb. I am returning it. The LED light on it is bright and it works well, but not for my situation.
