Needed this fan to replace a 20 yr old failing half-bath fan. Installation was rather straight forward but removing the old fan proved to be a pain as we did not have attic space above and only the 2nd floor. Once the old unit was out I installed this directly to the floor rafter with screws through the provided holes. It appears to be very sturdy using this method. Everything that was needed for my application was in the box, simply hook the wires up, attach the vent pipe and your are ready to go.

Simple, clean, basic bath fan. No-cut install is nice, and I look forward to replacing our weak, 40-year-old builder-grade exhaust fan. My current vent tube is 3”, and this requires a 4” line, and I just don’t have the heart to go into our attic now that summer is here in AZ.

Semi-quiet exhaust fan. The fan is 1.5 scones. It is for a bathroom that is a little smaller than your average bathroom. The exhaust fan DOES NOT have a light. The exhaust is 4" opening. You can easily swap out this exhaust with another one if you have the same size exhaust. I like the wiring that has push connectors ready to go for you DIYers. I gave it 4 stars since you can find a quieter exhaust.

It is a sturdy device that appears very well made. It is packed well for shipping and arrived in good condition. The instructions for installation are detailed with a lot of informative pictures included. I am not ready to install yet but I have no hesitation as the product appears to be of good quality that will last well. I have included photos so you can see for yourself what a nice unit it is.

Great bathroom fan for the price. This works well in my standard size 5 x 8 bathroom (40 sq feet) and is much much quieter than the previous 1908s era 6 sones fan. This fan is rated at 1.5 sones and 80 CFM (cubic feet per minute) so it exchanges the air in my 280 cubic foot basement bathroom every 3.5 minutes. Further, it is rated for bathrooms 80 sq ft or less so that can lead to some cold air coming in while I shower so I just run the fan after I get out of the shower and it clears the steam quickly.

Model 7140-80. Comes with fan housing, White grille, duct connector and six long wood screws. Airflow is 80 CFM, sound output is 1.5 sones and uses 120 volts at 60 Hz. Duct Connection diameter is 4 inches. Power consumption 28 watts.
