I have to return this....the fan is old and does not have a remote....I am old....and I need a remote....will be returning this item....sorry....been searching your inventory for a replacement fan, but don't really care for the styles available right now....looking for a more traditional style.

Hunter ceiling fan Light kit

This light kit was a perfect fit for my older Hunter ceiling fan. It came with led bulbs and the light is perfect for over my kitchen table! Highly recommend!

This Hunter fixture was purchased to attach to a Hunter fan. Mounting screws included with fixture too short and would not fasten. CFL bulbs included are not dimmable and therefore useless.

I’m assembling the Hunter light kit; this is the second one I have installed. I forgot that the 6/32 mounting screws are too short, so need to go to Bolt and Nut Shop to pick-up 2 longer bolts to install light kit. I now remember I had the same problem the first time, even though this one was purchased a year or 2 after the first light kit was purchased. Hunter never changed to a longer screw to mount the light kit to a Hunter fan. The current length is a ¼ inch taller than the top of wire housing. See the picture I’m holding up the existing factory screw it’s just barely seen over the top, even with me holding the screw up as straight as possible. You should only need a bolt a ½ or 3/4 inch taller the problem is even though the Nut and Bolt Shop has a large inventory they will not have that a 6/32 bolt that changes every ¼ inch in length. So when you supply your own hardware, it will be longer than you need, but it will work versus what Hunter supplies.

I’m replacing an older hunter light kit it has one bad wire in its housing that prevents one spotlight from working. I like the new light kit because it shines the light more evenly thoroughly throughout the room. The old 4 spotlights were very directional the new glass shades evenly light the whole room. The only thing I miss is the 4 way light switch, the new one all 4 lights are on or off. The old light switch was; off, or two opposite spots on, or the other 2 remaining spots on, or all 4 spots on. But with directional spots, it made sections of the room dark with only 2 on. With the more even disbursement of light using glass shades that would not be a problem.
