I don’t understand how this duct grill received so many rave reviews when the dimensions are wrong. It is NOT 16 inches long. I hope to save someone else from the hassle of having to return this item. I’m so frustrated.
Cold air return vent covers.
Fit was great. The vent covers are made cheaper than the old days. The fin material is much thinner and when put on they whistled and made a humming noise. We ended up painting our old ones and put them back on. I kept the ones I bought, it would cost too much to send them back.

Perfect fit for my retrofit.
The size of this is actually 15.25" x 7.25" (not 15.4" like the description says) which is perfect for my old home renovation. The baseboard return fits snug between the original baseboard trim and I needed an exact match. Most other brands are 15.75" wide which is too much. The provided screws are also extra long and beefy which do a good job when screwing into existing holes.
