Please don't waste your money!!

This is my 3rd one of this model. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing. My first one last about 18 months then would not work on kpod side but would work for nespresso side. Got another one as a gift and it lasted 4 months and started doing same thing. Contacted support and was sent a replacement and it lasted 4 days before it to quit. They have to know that have issues with this model but yet they continue to sale. They are sending me another replacement since they do not give refunds.

Don’t waste your money.

I wish I could give them zero stars because 1 star is too generous. I had an Instant Pot Coffee Maker. It worked for 10 months. Then, all of the lights started flashing and it wouldn’t work at all. I called and they sent a replacement. It worked for right at 2 months and then did the exact same thing. At this point, I was 20 days past the 1 year mark. I called them and they said that since I didn’t buy it directly from their website, they can’t offer a refund only a replacement. What’s funny about that is you can’t purchase from their website. It sends you to Amazon, Target, Best Buy or Walmart. Why would I want a 3rd coffee pot when the first 2 were junk? Don’t depend your money with this company. Their customer service is extremely poor.

Breaks fast

My Instant™ Dual Pod Plus Coffee Maker failed after 11 months. The company sent me a replacement, that turned out to be defective right out of the box. They replaced it. However, the second replacement worked for 2 months and then failed as well (the espresso side failed in both replacements). Now, the issue happened after the original warranty expired. Because of that the company is no longer responsible for the product. Alas, the quality of the product is unacceptable and their quality control is non-existent. Save the money, avoid the company.

**Buyer Beware**

I am on my third Instant Dual Pod Plus. The first one worked for a little over a year, then the Nespresso side just stopped working and the coffee would leak into the container where the Nespresso pods drop into. The second one they sent me as a replacement worked for about 7 months and then it just started malfunctioning, the lights all over the coffee maker just started flickering, going haywire and no coffee was coming out. The third and most recent replacement I received; I had it not even for a week and the same issue happened where the lights were flickering all over the machine, going haywire and no coffee was coming out. I loved the concept of having both coffee and Nespresso, but there are some serious flaws with this device.

4th replacement also doesn't work

I am on my 4th Instant Pod Plus Coffee maker. It is a wonderful concept but there is a definite manufacturing flaws. The first one, starting dripping water out of the bottom. Sent that one back, the next 2 after using the K-cup side only it will start to flash all the lights and no longer brew K-Cups. Oddly enough, the other side for the original nespresso pods continued to work on both replacement models. On the most recent replacement, which I have had for less than a month, you hear the machine turning on and then the water all comes out the bottom. So once again I will be contacting customer service on Monday and see what they will do. I am definitely done with this model. I wish it would work as it is so convenient. The only positive note is that customer service is friendly and helpful but this issue is a manufacturing problem.

INSTA 3 in 1 COFFEE MAKER - FABULOUS

Although I am a new user of this coffee maker I am impressed. I like that my family can enjoy regular pod coffee and I can enjoy Nespresso. I was determined whatever I bought it would not be a Keurig. I’ve had four or five now and I’m tired of having to replace one about every 18 months. I’ve read the reviews on this insta coffee maker but with all the positive reviews I wonder why so many are delighted with this 3 in one maker and others have such a problem with it. Could part of the bad reviews be owner error? Suppose I will find out over time but I highly recommend this coffee maker in the meantime. We have only adults in this household so there will be no children using it.

Unreliable machine and clueless support

As you'll read from many reviews, the k-cup side fails easily. Our failed within 6 months of purchasing and I contacted support. I went into detail about the specific symptoms and what I'd tried in order to resolve it. Support didn't care to even try fixing the issue, which would have been preferred (I like to maintain my own stuff rather than just replace things constantly), they instead offered a free replacement. That should have been the end of it, but I was able to get it running again on my own and it lasted another few months before failing again. I got back to support after and asked about the replacement they offered since it was beyond my ability at that point to keep running. They rescinded that offer and told me to buy a new one instead. The machine clogs easily (specifically the k-cup side) and there are some spots where you just can't reach to clean it (this is where I suspect the issue currently is). It has a built-in cleaning cycle that you'll want to use frequently, but even that doesn't clear a lot of issues. With a better design they could make this much easier to maintain and clean and prevent a lot of the failures that they see.

[Rewarded Review] Unreliable machine and support won't actually help

The k-cup side failed within 6 months of buying it. I opened a ticket with support and they had no clue how to diagnose/fix the issue and offered a free replacement. I took a little longer than I should have to accept the free offer, but support immediately rescinded it when I asked about it and just told me to buy a new one. I don't plan to purchase from this company again after this experience.

[Rewarded Review] Great Coffee, but Extremely Noisy

We've had many single cup coffee makers for the past 20 years or more ever since the first one was made, only because we wear them out (yes, we are heavy coffee drinkers). The one feature that influenced us to buy this coffee maker is because of the dual pod 3-in-1 capability. It does make great coffee and the espresso it makes is phenomenal. However, honestly out of all the coffee makers we've had, this one is far the noisiest one of them all. Extremely noisy. After three months of use, the noise was like nails on a chalk board, so it was time to go with a much quieter one.

Only lasts about 18 months

Unfortunately have to agree with other reviews. Our coffee maker worked great for about 16 months. At around the 1 year mark, the coffee started making less and less (yes, we descaled it) and now at the 18 month mark, it seems the pump that takes water from the reservoir through the coffee machine finally broke altogether, as no water comes out of the spout. Out of warranty, so trying to go through my credit card, which supposedly extends the warranty by 1 year. Fingers crossed, but I would not recommend this brand unless it lasts longer.

Definitely NOT what I paid for

I bought this due to the “bold” feature, as well as being able to use both size pods.

LOVED BUT STOPS WORKING AFTER YEAR 2

I adored this coffee maker. It brewed the Nespresso capsules and the K-Cup pods perfectly and had the best taste from both brew options (out of any other brand coffee maker). Suddenly, they K -cup side of my machine stopped working. I descaled. Cleaned. Nothing changed. Did my research and this is a NOW KNOWN & CONSISTENT problem with this machine around the Year 2 mark. I contacted support, sent in everything that was requested and was told it is past the 1 year warranty to buy a new product. I understand out of warranty, but this is not a fluke this is clearly an issue with this machine. I would've been happy with a rebate offer for a newer model, but I'm likely not to purchase anything Instant Pot brand if they do not make appliances to last more than two years, which is unfortunate because I loved this machine and this brand.

Excellent product

We just retired our first Instant dual pod coffee maker. We purchased it when first came out. We replaced with same product. We probably brew minimally 5 cups a day. We love the dual pod option. Can brew a variety of coffee's to suit individual tastes and use (ie use the large keurig option for travel mugs or can have a small netspresso). We have two other coffee machines but rarely use those anymore

[Rewarded Review] A pretty solid K-Cup/Nespresso Machine

Don't get too excited about "3-in1" because the third one is stuffing your own coffee into a reusable pod. I've tried that in the past and it's messy. Grounds go everywhere when loading the reusable cup and it's a pain to clean.

A competent all round coffee maker. Compostable pods +++. Better cup size selection would be nice.

The availability of compostable pods is a plus. Kudos to InstaPot. The selection of sizes on both the regular and espresso pods could be better. I'd like to have smaller sizes such as 4 and 6 oz servings for regular coffee, and 1 oz for espresso. I never use the 12 oz cup size for anything. On the plus side, I like the capacious water reservoir and little water waste while brewing any size of cup.

Imposing, loud, leaked.

Started leaking after exactly two months. Not sure where it was coming from. The reservoir didn’t itself leak but once the water went inside machine, large puddle would form under machine and all over counter and in pod drawer in front. Also, didnt pour correct ounces, even before leakage noticed. Two stars for large capacity reservoir but nothing else was great about it. Disappointed but store gave refund as it’s less than 90 days and they RTV.

[Rewarded Review] Its a Quick and easy cup of pick me up

This thing is great. Pop in a original Nespresso pod and pick small medium or lg. or drop in a k cup and pick a small medium or lg… dont forget the bold button if you want a little extra kick. Even comes with a refillable kcup for your own coffee. Or better yet do what i do, Drop in combo. I do a medium nespresso with a small kcup of coffee. Add in a little creamer and im set. Your imagination is the limit. But the truth is I use the nespresso pods more than the k cups these days. Enjoy!

Great coffee maker

This is a great coffee maker. It’s size is fairly small since I don’t have much counter space. It allows you to use pods but takes up much less space then a Keurig. The Keurig is wide and takes up more counter space where is this is deep and skinnier. You need to have at least 2 1/2 feet between your counter and the top of your cupboards or be able to pull this coffee maker out to the edge of your counter to make espresso. You have to do that because of the way the espresso pods drop into the coffee pot. It really is a very very nice coffee maker and the price is great for what you get. The espresso pods are kind of expensive but way worth it. I would highly recommend.

[Rewarded Review] Poor quality and breaks pretty quickly

I really didn’t want two separate machines to make coffee and there was a version 1 of this that seemed to have been discontinued so I was happy to see this newer one and I bought this about two months ago. At first, it was fine in general though I noticed the strength of the coffee wasn’t as strong, as one concern - both on the K-Cup side and the Espresso pod side. But then suddenly about 6 weeks in, when I tried to brew from the K-cup side, the noise would quiet to a whimper and all lights would blink. I read that this usually meant descaling time so I followed the steps to do that - and still nothing. I swapped for another one since I was in the window, and this newer one took only about 2 weeks to reach the same state as the other one, and same thing: no cleaning worked. Now this time, I am out of the return window so I am now screwed and out of about $160

[Rewarded Review] Disappointed

Disappointed in this product. You are limited to size of coffee you can make determined by whether you use a cup or hespresso pod. Kcups can only be made in 8,10, or 12oz cups but kcups are too diluted in that size and you’d need 2 kcups for that. I have to stand there and try to stop the machine mid cup to get the correct flavor. I wanted a maker that gave all 3 options, cup, nespresso pod, or ground. But also ground coffee can only be made from the kcup accessory so it’s too weak as well in an 8oz brew . Wasted my money.
