GREAT PRODUCT
this hot tub is so easy to inflate and set up. I love the inflatable top also. Keeps water from sinking the top in. Nice design overall. The bag that holds the tub makes it secure to fasten the top. This is my 4th inflatable hot tub and the first time with Intex. Great technology. I have had it for 1 month now. Alas, I have to return it as the power/GFI got hot and melted one of the prongs so it does not have power now. I believe it probably got wet but it says on the plug that it is water proof?!!!
I'm actually surprised... I give it 5 stars!
I've been looking at the Coleman hot tubs for probably a year now. I finally decided to take a chance but I ordered this one. I've had it for maybe 2 weeks now and I don't regret it. I've been in it every night. It's way too hot here to use it durning the day. Set up was pretty straight forward. I'm a guy so of course I didn't read the directions and screwed it up. After getting it all set up though I have no complaints! Definitely been buying accessories for it too. I'm not sure how it will do in the winter but we will see. This was just a starter for me. I plan on upgrading it to something permanent. Oh - I was surprised it came came with literally everything. Make sure to get chlorine tablets and a dispenser. It comes with everything else!
ok..not great
the good thing is the filter is quiet. It has two filters inside but seems like only one works as it should so the other just takes up space. Heated up nicely but edges do NOT support any weight at all like most other soft sided spas. Only a small floating tablet dispenser so I don't feel water balance is maintained like in the wall mounted ones. Overall it worked for my sore back but I'd never buy another one.
Forth time hopefully is the charm or else I'm done
I haven't had a chance to try it out yet as I still need to take down and throw away the previous Pure Spa which is effectively the same as the Simple Spa. This is our 4th hot tub. The quality has slowly improved over time however the third tub would leak water in the walls and eventually caused the heater to trip the CGFI if enabled. The pump is better isolated in the later models. I didn't see a pump listed at the Intex web site so I'm hoping it is the same as the previous model since most of the parts are very similar.
Total JUNK
Was excited to try this hot tub! We bought one at Costco that lasted about 4 years. It was awesome even in the Iowa winters! Filtrations system was great and water was always clean and clear. This hot tub was awful from day one. Pump was weak. It has a double filtration system so I was hopeful the water would remain cleaner longer. Nope! It was green and gross within a couple weeks. Even though I followed all instructions and used the exact chemicals I used with other spa. Had to change BOTH filters way more often. Temp wouldn’t stay up even in mild temps. Hot tub is supposed to have a safety feature to keep it from freezing in case the power goes off and resets the temp. Well…pump was still running and we got blasted with extremely cold temps and guess what. It freaking froze! It was on and pump was running I kept checking it and the temps kept dropping and then today. Water inside tub was frozen. What a waste of money. Will buy my next one from Costco as I am certain WalMart will do nothing to help with this. Junk!
[Rewarded Review] Worh it
So far so good. I've always wondered how the 'pop up' tubs would actually work. Man, this has been a dream for our family! My husband has always been against getting a pool or hot tub because of the work needed to keep up with one. Guess who loves our new spa. This comes with everything that you need. I definitely recommend having at least 2 people to set it up, it makes it much easier. Very sturdy and made well. Comes with a cover to keep debris out. I can agree that it fits 4 people but I'd rather just relax alone or with my spouse. Heats up fairly quick and the jets are powerful. We've enjoyed this in the summer evenings. I can't wait to see how it is in the winter months living in ohio.
[Rewarded Review] Fantastic Hot Tub
I am obsessed. This is better than anything I could have dreamed of for a hot tub. I've used similar hot tubs in the past and the bubble jets in this are such a unique and more pleasant experience. They surround the entire tub and provide that relief no matter where you sit in the tub. It is a perfect width and is comfortable to lounge in. The control box is such a great size and is so compact with the inflator built right in so that I don't have to worry about overfilling it. The cover really secured it and the netting surrounding it helps keep its form. I have been using this thing daily and can't say enough good things about it.
[Rewarded Review] Ahh-Mazing!!
This is the best thing ever! It was so easy to set up, it actually comes with a pump to help inflate! We decided to setup indoors since we live in area that does get below freezing at times and we want to keep this setup all year round. It comes with instructions on how to use inside. It fits up to four people. The control unit is easy to use to adjust the temperature, it has touch buttons and it also has a cup holder or you can use it as a phone holder! It comes with a nice little floating chemical dispenser and 2 filters which are easy to use and replace. The 100 bubble jets are simply amazing and feel wonderful! I never knew it could be affordable to have a spa and now I do and I don't think I could live without it anymore!! It's perfect and I would highly recommend to everyone!
Would not recommend!!
Prior to installing I bought 2’X2’ floor foam pads and placed them on my pool deck. Then I installed inflatable hot tub as directed right on top of foam pads (wanted extra protection). The pump threw multiple codes all summer and air slowly started leaking. The temperature will drop during use even faster when bubbles are on. I deflated and stored away for the winter. Two days ago, I got it out to set it up again and found multiple holes. I have tried several patches and it continues to lose air. Would not recommend buy this hot tub.
Don't Waste Your Money
I am not inclined to write reviews of products I have purchased from major online retailers because of an appalling experience I had with a competitor of Walmart's. However, considering that this particular product has been flawed from the outset, and knowing that not everyone has $400 to throw away, I am writing this as a warning to potential buyers.
My sister in law has this model and just loves it. My big hot tub died in the spring, so I thought this would be a stop-gap measure while I had the old one removed and a new one purchased and installed. I had the Intex installed just off the back porch on a bed of playground sand, with the included cover beneath. Getting the connectors attached was a bit of a hassle, but after a short while, I got them. At first, it was nice. Not super comfortable like a hot tub, but good enough to work out the pains with a cold beverage. The problems started happening a few weeks in. The bladder wouldn't hold air for more than about a week. Came back from a holiday in July to find the thing completely deflated and all the water soaked into the ground. I searched for the air leak, but it's just impossible. Now it's autumn and the spa can't stay outdoors. I brought it into my sun-room area and set it up again. Again, the bladder won't hold air in the firm position for more than a few days. Now, I also notice a 2-3 gallon water leak each day. I drained it and I'm giving it away on Facebook Marketplace. It's time to just hunker down and replace the hot tub.
+Has an outer mesh protective cover+Inflatable lid prevents sagging and saves heat+Has two filter inlets (the chinese version has one filter, and the second inlet destroyed the pump because of hair etc going in)+Pump is super quiet+Pump and tub are separate pieces instead of built into wall+Ships well protected in a thick double box+Delivered in 2 days by FedEx-The FedEx tracking number took 24 hours to show that it shipped so I was worried it was out of stock.. But it arrived on time anyway! Go figure.+Now I can enjoy cool mornings before work steaming out here and writing Amazon reviews.-Box has logo visible like a retail package-Bubble system connection looks delicate and easy to tear off from inside the tub if you have kids-Kept instantly deflating until I figured out you just need to turn the little white valve 90 degrees until it clicks in the correct position. To manufacturer - I would love a hard wall option or version of the same tub. Also a wireless phone charger on top of the pump would be a nice feature. Very happy with this one compared to my old Chinese tub. If the pump goes out, I could easily take it apart and fix it or improvise something. The ones with the pump built into the wall are a huge hassle to get apart, heavy to move and store, destroy themselves from hose connections stretching unevenly when storing, and impossible to repair while filled with water.
I am one guy living in kenai, Alaska. Use it every day for old bones and aches. Easy to set up and maintain. Filters are critical to the proper operation. You will get a E90 fault and hottub stops functioning. Either change filter or clean existing ones. I end up doing this about every 4 weeks. Order extra filters !My temps this year are mid 40s to 50s at night and typical mid 60s during day. The pump and heater are ON 24/7. It is quiet but this causes a low pitch noise that is barely heard ***.but it is there constantly. This also caused my electrical bill to raise by about $90 a month, far greater than the $30 reported by other users. I put a meter on the electrical and it recorded about 21 Kwh PER DAY use for just the hottub. Based on bigger 6 person high end hottubs that ran me $30 a month in electricity but the cost of the tub was over 8k so......At about the 45 days of use I drained and changed the water and had to pump up the air in the walls and cover of the hottub. Over ***.worth the price both in initial cost and ongoing upkeep and electrical costs. I really enjoy sitting in the tub watching moose, ducks, geese, Loons and other wildlife from the front porch overlooking my lake. Jealous yet?
Ok so I tried out the spa tonight and I have to say I absolutely love it. The company I got it from was awesome also. They delivered it very quickly and if you have any problems they will take care of it immediately. I should have waited until the chemicals were ready but I was anxious to try it out and the chemicals were a little strong but I don’t have the greatest patience. I can tell you it is so worth it though. After a tiring day the bubbles feel so good on your tired muscles. This is a great alternative to a fancy hot tub that has a lot of settings and costs a fortune. I was also amazed at how comfortable it is. Two adults can sit or stretch out in it easily. Actually 4 could sit in it easily but not stretch way out. I was also impressed with how sturdy this little baby is. You can lay back and look at the stars and totally relax. I stayed in it about 30 minutes and I was so ***.and feel as if I can sleep great tonight. The only bad thing is that it does take awhile to get to hottest temperature which is 104. I got in it at 101 and was so warm . At 104 you would probably be sweating after 15 minutes. The bubbles do cool it down a little. The bubbles massage you but not with full force like a jacuzzi or hot tub but for the price I would totally recommend. Also has a very nice cover that buckles down and keeps the heat in and also locks for safety if you choose. I put a light up beach ball in and gave a great effect. Very easy to set up but I would recommend you tube video. I have to say this was one of the best gifts I have ever bought myself. Also, once you get the temp how you like it then you can maintain temp easily. Just initial set up takes a little while. If you use warm water then it speeds up the heating time.
Ok, this is a great hot tub! I've been using it for about a month. There are a couple things I think might be great if changed, but for a person owning one for the first time it's great!Although it says four person capacity, this is not 4 full grown people with with a plus size body type. I think they mean 4 slim to medium body typed people. A plus size and medium body typed person it is roomy. I think two plus size people would still be comfy, but not four. Also don't fill it to the max line you will lose a lot of water due to water displacement and when you turn the bubbles on you will lose even more water as it will overflow out of the the hot tub. Due to the water overflow It is a good idea to make sure the power plug is not laying on the ground near the hot tub via extension cord, which by the way the manual strongly says not to do. Don't plan on getting right in after you have it filled unless you are filling with water that is already heated. Mine took 16 hours to get up to the highest temp 104. Which honestly is way too hot for me...I keep mine at 98 degrees now. at 102 degrees my face was sweating! It was very easy to assemble and doesn't take very long to fill with water if you have good water pressure. Mine took about 35 minutes to fill. Also make sure you have pulled the hot tub sides out to get rid of as much wrinkles in the fabric before filling. I have one section that's just a tiny bit lower, not a huge deal i'll fix it when I replace the water in another month or so. The fabric on the outside of the tub will need to be adjusted to align the ports with the holes in the fabric. Here's a tip just because I ran into this and couldn't find a answer that I felt was adequate. You can attach the inflation hose to the unit after it has been assembled to add more air to the detachable cover. I was a little cautious because I've had stupid stuff happen to me before where you think something works one way and then find out it doesn't. I didn't want the whole thing to deflate and all that water come gushing out. Really the only thing I think could make this better is allow different bubble speeds. It is one speed the whole time you have it own which is nice but also loud. Which makes it a hard to have a conversation while its running as you'll have to speak louder and your neighbors may hear everything you say. Intex provides several things to assist in maintenance extra rings, patches, tools to replace valves. They've got you covered and intend on it lasting for years to come!I would likely purchase one that is bigger next time to allow for more people to enjoy, but for my first one it is great! Great value for the money!
My wife and I had 2 'real' hot tubs over the years, one inside and one outside. They finally died (got plenty of use from them) and we then had a swimming pool. After removing the pool a couple years ago we decided we wanted a new hot tub but with the pandemic, the waiting list to get one was well over a year. After a lot of research, we decided to order and wait for a regular hot tub but also gave this inflatable one a try too. When the new hot tub comes next year, we were going to give this to our daughter and her husband if it was any good. Now, for the review: The hot tub arrived 2 days earlier than expected, in a heavy but compact box. After unboxing and reading the instructions, set up was a breeze, and we had it unboxed and filled within an hour or so. It did take a quick 'Youtube' video to see how to inflate, but other than that, it was very easy. It took a couple days to get the water to reach 104 degrees but it has been cold here, so figure a degree or two per hour from first fill to hot tub temperature. So, after 2 months, how is it? In a word: It works fine, is comfortable and we enjoy it. No, it is not a 'real' hot tub, in that it will need to be taken down in the winter, and the heat is generated by the pump/filter and takes a few days to warm the water up completely. However, it is very sturdy, the filter works good, and the bubble setting is very relaxing. There is no insulation like a solid hot tub would have so it does cool down fairly rapidly once the cover is off and the bubbles are going, but for the short time we're in it, it stays warm enough. Seems well built, and so far, no issues or problems whatsoever. Having had 2 other hot tubs in the past, this in no way compares directly with solid hot tubs, but it is also not $5000.00 either. We're happy with the purchase.
UPDATE 4/12/21: Ordered new filters and they just got here. Running it without filters was fine and now that I got new filters in it’s been running fine since. You can tell it flows much better putting your hand in front of the outlet. So far so good. Loving the hot tub now. UPDATE 4/5/21: Running out of ideas. After a day and the water filled correctly set the code off again. Found out I didn’t have a filter in the right spot I don’t know why they threaded the outlet if there’s not supposed to be a filter there. Moved it to other C location I had missed and still threw the code again. Completely removed filters from the filter body and you can tell it runs much better flows a lot better and hasn’t thrown the code since, but doesn’t seem like a good solution. Maybe I just need new filters not sure. UPDATE 4/3/21: Had the code again after having 2 in the spa again only had 1 up to this point between last update. You lose so much water with 2 that the lack of water sets the code off, so after having a few people in you need to fill the spa back up to the min level after getting out and it will work no problem. UPDATE: Had the code again, but this time I swapped the filters around you hear a rush when you loosen them, so when I swapped them I tightened them with one finger so that they can also be loosened with one finger. I also put more water in, with 2 people in you lose a bit of water. So after doing those things the spa has been great since. Still love using this spa. Will continue to update if more problems arise but as of now I love it. Cant give 5 stars because of the design issue but still a great thing to have and enjoy. It worked great for us a few times then a few days in got E90 code. Unplugged and plugged back in and it’s running again and it’s running now but will update later to see how long it lasts. Pros:- Great Temperature- Easy to set up- Comfortable- Nice jetsCons:- No light as the listing says- Screen hard to read in the day light- E90 Pump error
I enjoy sitting outside in my hot tub at night relaxing. When I moved, I missed it. Although I did not miss spending $4000 to buy one, and another $2k for electrical hookup, $1000 for setup and delivery, and $500 each time there was a leak or motor failure. Yes, it was an expensive relaxation. After buying an Intex kayak and finding how enjoyable a lightweight alternative to lugging a big heavy plastic kayak around, I bought this spa for my lanai. It took me about 20 minutes to setup, and all the parts and heater are of very high quality. It took overnight to heat from 79 to 103, and I just got out. Wow. To begin, the entire tub is a soft head rest. My other hard plastic one had 4 soft head rests in the corners, forcing positions. This one is literally 360. Second, I’m 6 ft and my feet don’t touch the other end. It has a soft padded bottom and I can fully stretch out very comfortably. The hard plastic one either sat too low in the corners, or, too high in the middle. This is just right and covers my entire body. Lastly, the bubbles create a swirling motion blowing heated water, not just blowing air bubbles. For the price, I sat there thinking this is a great deal. Granted, it’s not that big for 4 adults but most of the time it was my wife and I or our kids. It blends in nicely and is not some crazy green or bright color like others. I’m very happy with it and cost a fraction of the traditional tubs, yet delivers 90% of the same experience, and some are better like a soft cushion for all parts of your body.
We bought this a a pandemic diversion. We live in a townhouse and I am pretty sure it breaks several HOA rules but... Oh well. A week in and it's been great. The spa holds about 200 gals of water and at 8.3 lbs per gallon your looking at 1700 lbs. Not a huge amount but we put it on our 4th floor outside deck and it hasn't fallen through the roof yet. Set up is very easy. The heater/pump also inflates the spa and the cover too. We filled it with water in about 30 minutes and turned it on. It states that it heats about two degrees per hours and found that spot on. This was also during a week's worth of winter storms and it heated up consistently. Though there are not jets the bubbles are very soothing. It states 4 persons but it would best be suited for two people fully submerged. We purchased an Intex pool in the beginning of the Pandemic and learned a lot from that one. Chemicals are actually pretty easy but one thing you will need to do is rinse the filter (very easy to remove) frequently. They will fill up with goo quickly and restrict the water flow. I read the reviews before I purchased and many of them noted the pump shutting down and reading a code error. Rinse the filter, do it often. Temps here this week have been at the freezing point and we have used it nearly every night. I drop the temp down to 98 after each use then a few hours before I turn it up to 104. It does drop in temp quickly in the cold air since the bubbles come from the outside air. It will go from 104 to 96 in about 20-30 minutes at 32 degree temps. Overall I have been very satisfied. For the money... during a pandemic... in icy conditions... on a fourth floor of a townhouse deck... If it broke today we would have gotten our money out of it.
I had one of these a few years ago when they first came out at our other home and it was great. Our new house has a pool and 20 years old hot tub that has been having problems due to age. Decided to get this and keep it on our enclosed lanai. Since I have allot of experience with pools and hot tubs I wanted to give some friendly advice. 1. You really do not need to worry about chemicals for PH levels or Alkaline. The key is to maintain Chlorine levels which i like to keep on the high side. Since you will most likely be replacing the water every 3 months or more so it will not matter. The main purpose for chemicals and balance in a pool is to reduce chorine cost. The more unbalance in PH and Alkaline the more chlorine is required as it will go away much faster but since it just does not have much water chlorine use will be minimum anyways. 2. Never place anything in the tub that has been washed in any soap. A clear sign of soap is a muddy cream colored water that would have to be replaced to solve. Even a towel corner getting into the water can mess it up. Never wash you bathing suit in the washer with soap. . 3. Also be aware of what you have placed on you body. Do these things a I can assure you your water will always remain clear for a long time.
