This Intex pure spa for a person inflatable bubble jet spa hot tub with cover is the perfect addition to our patio during winter. We can use it all season but our favorite time is when it’s cold outside or snowing and we can sit in the warm water it’s perfect and relaxing for our family. You can control the temperature is to make it warmer or cooler water to cool off in the summertime. It’s comfortableAnd very durable and has held up all year for us so far.
Error E90
The tub worked well to get started, for some reason it keeps giving me an error code starting the second week that says E90. I have referenced it and it says that water isn’t making it through the pump for some reason. I’ve done the trouble shooting suggested and it will work temporarily, then it stops working again and says E90.
I have now owned three inflatable hot tubs and this by far has been the best. This hot tub is very well made. The materials used are durable and high quality. It is easy to set up and instructions even include a CD ROM. The attention given to detail regarding operation of the tub's features is impressive. It is very comfortable to sit in and the bubble effect is strong and relaxing
After researching several options, I decided to purchase the Intex Pure Spa 4-Person Inflatable Bubble Jet Spa Hot Tub and I'm so glad I did. The setup was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. The bubble jets are powerful and create a wonderfully soothing experience. The size is just right for four people, and the inflatable design makes it convenient to set up in different locations. It's been a great addition to our backyard, and it's perfect for relaxation after a long day.
Such an easy setup! We purchase for our son and his girlfriend they have enjoyed it very much. It was effortless in setup with directions to follow but not even necessary. The care has been low maintenance. Temperature keep where you like 10/10 from the kids. Great parent purchase. Buying one for our daughters place next! Don’t over think this purchase so worth it.
Our spa started giving us the e90 error message early on but resetting the power usually fixed it. But admit a month ago we couldn’t fix it. I looked at how to videos but decided to just get a pump since they were inexpensive. Unfortunately none are available from Intex! They used to sell it for $30. I found one available on DiscoverMyStore for $155 plus shipping. Intex also advertise the whole motor assembly for around $250 but they don’t have those either! Our model is just 2021! What a rip off! We’ll never but an Intex again since they can’t support it.
heating element keeps going bad
I love having the hot tub, but for it the heating element to keep going bad yearly is def ridiculous thing. Bought item last week in december 2020, it was delivered in january 2021. In august 2021 heating element went bad, which they replaced since it was under warranty. Now november 2022, heating element is bad again. So since its out of warranty they will not replace.... which I think is crazy! Ive only had the hot tub 1 year and 10 months and this will be the 3rd heating element needed!! this time they wanted me to pay $278 for one. Obsured! so unless you plan on paying for a heating element every year... dont buy this item!
Heating element keeps going bad too many times
I love having an inflatable hot tub...but this one... I bought end of dec 2020, it was delivered in January 2021... the heating element went bad in August 2021 which they replaced under warranty. Now November 2022, the same thing is happening. So technically I will need to buy a 3rd heating element unit in a year and 10 months of having this hot tub.. Makes no sense that this is happening every year. I called Intex to see if they would issue another replacement due to the fact that its about $285 for the heating element, they will not since its out of warranty. So words to the wise, unless you plan on fixing a heating element every year... DONT BUY THIS ITEM!
leaks air
I've had this set up for a couple weeks now and it is definitely leaking air, if only slowly, I have to top it off every day or two. Not sure if there's an actual hole somewhere or if it's just this new pressure release valve not quite working as intended. Not excited about trying to navigate a warranty return. Maybe I'll see if I can order a spare valve? The tub is usable -- I'm grateful that they changed the design so that it's possible to plug in the inflation thing without draining the tub first, otherwise this would be completely untenable. Seems pretty good otherwise -- the energy efficient cover is very nice compared to the one I had from a few years back.
Its a Yes!
I am providing a review of our Intex 4-person Pure Spa vs. Coleman Salu-spa we had previously purchased with Intex Pure Spa the winner! The first thing we noticed is that the Index Pure Spa does not have a seam which runs down the side and seems a better quality overall both in appearance and quality of material. A note, that the Coleman "seam" split after one year so we were happy to see that the Intex Pure Spa doesn't have a seam and hence, the chance of it splitting seems far less likely! The 2nd thing I noticed is that both hot tubs have quiet running motors but I like the shape of the Intex Pure Spa better because the motor is square, whereas the Coleman motor is egg shaped. Both are the same reference the bubbles both in respects the feeling and as well the noise level. The Index Pure-Spa has a much more padded bottom than the Coleman SaluSpa and is also a bit larger where you can fit four people comfortably and possibly six if they are of smaller stature. We put it under an 8 x 8 pop up canopy that we purchased for $69 (at Home Depot) providing protection from the sun for its benefit, and shade and protection from the rain for our benefit. That is the perfect size tent for this hot tub. Lastly, we bought a small floating duck (for the chemical tablet) and a floating light with colors that change for a nice effect at night. Be sure to read the directions on how to turn on the heater. The hubby didn't do that to begin with and when it wasn't heating we panicked but upon closer review he realized the mistake which was easily resolved we had it up to 104 within 14 hours. Once it is heated up you can run the motor all the time (with note it shuts off after 72 hour so remember to push the buttons to keep it on the temp you want it, as it is more costly to reheat it than it is to keep the heater on all the time as it will only run when it drops below the temp you set it at. Our electric bill has done up $15 per month. I hope this helped!
Great little spa!
We really love this spa, especially for the price. I rated 4 stars because the directions are terrible. I had to go online to try to find random videos to figure it out. Mine did not come with a DVD. Also, the cord is super short, I would guess about 8 feet. We could not put it out on our patio as planned because it wouldn't reach the outlet. Also, you cannot have this sit in the sun (per instructions). The spa itself is very sturdy. You can even sit on the wall, it's so firm. It does take about an hour to raise the temperature 2 degrees, so be prepared to wait unless you keep it hot all the time. The jets are super powerful and it's just a very relaxing hot tub.
Actually fits four people!
Let’s break it down, this is a hot tub for under $500. The product definitely exceeded expectations.
Fabulous!
This is exactly as described. It was extremely easy to assemble (by myself) and was ready to fill with water within an hour, ready to use after heating overnight. Had it in a pop up gazebo at the camper. Accessories also great (seats, cupholders, head rests), and everyone loved the color changing light in it.
Amazing hot tub
I bought this hot tub after searching for a well priced spa for my husband and I to enjoy after the kids go to sleep at night. This hot tub was easy to set up, and took about 12 hours to go from 76 to 99 degrees. We are keeping it below 100 so that our kids can come in with us too. The hot tub comes with everything you need except for chemicals. We chose mini bromine tablets to use- which fit perfectly in the tiny chlorine dispenser that comes with this item. I am very happy with my purchase so far- this is a complete spa in a box. You get: -Filters (already attached and inside the filter housing) -tub/cover/and ground cover -pump/heater -temperature controls dash -chlorine dispenser -test strips -drain plug attachment I also purchased (seperately) a gazebo to cover the hot tub during the day since it reaches high temperatures where we live. I'm sure that the hot tub is sturdy, but I know how much damage the sun can cause vinyl and rubber products.
