Just enough light

I've been looking for something like this for a long time for my bathroom. It gives just enough light to find the light switch and that's all I want. The low light is not glaring or intrusive. I am preparing my home now so when I am visually impaired or have a mobility problem later, I can find the bathroom light switch easily at night. Very easy to install.

Wanted to have some night lights around the house to navigate from room to room at night. Great when guest are staying over. Can be a bit tricky to install but works OK. Downside: first unit purchased, single pole light switch stopped working after 14 months on a 12 month guarantee. Fluke? Don't know. Several other newer switches and outlet plates seem to be fine. These are not emergency lights so no power no lights.

My husband tripped over an ad on the internet and thought we buy just a few to try them out. MAN OH MAN, what a difference we loved them so much we ordered some more. It's nice even when the lights go to and the generator kicks in we still have night lights. They were a little hard to install in an older house but that was easily solved. Getting ready to order 7 more to complete everywhere we want them. Our advice is if you want or need a night light in each and every room these are the ones to have. LOVE THEM!!!

The connect points did not line up with my switch , my screws were on the back. So I bought 2 switches and tried both of them. again the screw heads did not line up with the plates connection points. 1 switch the screws were too far apart and the 2nd they were not deep enough. Sad because I really wanted this for a dark hallway.

This is a nice night light. Have been using it for awhile not and really like it. It is a very elegant way to add night lights and with the daylight sensor it works flawlessly. I have one in the bathroom and wish it were a bit brighter but would not keep me from buying again.

If you have new construction and electrical these will install in a snap. I have an older house with some sloppy electrical work, so I needed to clean up some sloppy wirework and gesso to make the room for these to easily slip into place, but it was worth it. I love they can be turned off completely, or set to low or high light mode. One of my 3 went bad after 2 months and the seller sent me a replacement immediately. they were very responsive and professional. I will be buying more of these and highly recommend, especially for bathrooms. With one of these you don't need to turn on any other light for those late night visits.

I have 5 snap lights in my home. They are invaluable to light the way in the middle of the night. I don't have any in my bedrooms as I prefer complete darkness. I have these switchplates in the hall and kitchen which I feel make it safe to walk around in the dark. Subtle lighting . I highly recommend. I like the fact that I no longer have to worry about separate night lights. Very efficient. When I do have company, I feel this helps direct them in case needing a midnight snack down stairs and into kitchen. Safety first!

We bought a house that has a very dark hallway leading to the bedrooms and guest bath. There's no outlet to put a night light for company to find their way to the restroom at night. This switch cover eliminates that problem. No wiring needed when installing. Two contacts will touch the switch when installed and VOILA!! A night light is installed.

This only works with a toggle switch that is controlling lights without any other switch and no other control functions (motion detection, built in timer, etc.). It cannot work on a hallway switch with ones at both ends of the hall controlling the light. It cannot work on a light where the switch must be left on so the light can be controlled by embedder motion detection or remote control in the bulb (Hue bulbs). Thus , my garage with the motion detection fixture is not useful. With the switch on for the light to do the automated detection, means the built in plate light gets no power.

Great product if it worked for the garage light switch we wanted to use it on. The contacts are 7/8" apart and each contact is 5/16" long (measured lengthwise parallel to the cover not to the diagonal little contact). It would've been really helpful to have that info before buying. Tried bending the plastic arms and using conductive tape and using the switch both upside down and right side up on our Levitron switch. The screw placement was both the wrong distance apart and needed to be closer to the plate.

It's a little bit awkward to install. Folks with weak hands might struggle with it. Once installed though, it works perfectly. Mine is installed at the base of a dark stairway. The light is sufficient to see the bottom step without turning on other light. So it's good when one's hands are full.

Super simple to install. It makes it easy to find the switch in a dark room. I no longer need to slide my hand around on a wall to find the switch. That keeps my dirty hands from making a mess on the paint. The lightness/darkness sensor works well.
