have hammock, will snooze

Comfortable, strong and light. Doesn't sag a lot in the middle. I didn't buy it for backpacking (lol won't work with zee doggo) but I could imagine sleeping in it. Good for destination day hikes, camping, chilling by the lake, or just reading a book at the park. Not sure it's *really* comfortable for two adults--you definitely get smushed together (for reference I am 5'6" 130 lb, partner 5'10" 150 lbs) but I had no worries about the strength when we gave it a shot. Upside: it could be good for romance.

disappointed with new hammock

The first Roo Double that I had was great, purchased in 2016. I liked that the depth of it and that it was long enough to stash clothes at one end. Once settled in it was comfortable and large enough to allow shifting around during the night. January 2023 it ripped apart. I contacted Kammok and receive a warrantied replacement. Good so far. I've been disappointed with the newer Double Roo. The materials seem cheaper, the bag of of the hammock is not a deep, once set up it has a twist between the two ends (I've used it enough and it's not my technique). Since I have it I'll continue to use it but cannot recommend the purchase of a current Double Roo unless quality has improved over the past year.

Simple, sturdy & pleasing to the eye

I started with this hammock originally in green. It looks and feels nice, the carabiners feel sturdy. It fits me fine @ 5’9, for lounging, but after so many naps I upgraded to a roo double xl so I can roll around a bit.

Soft & Cool Feel, Sturdy Construction

I've had a roo since college. I put a lot of research (and at the time, what felt like a lot of money) into finding my hammock. I am very happy it was this one. A lot of hammocks have a weird fabric texture to them, almost like rough parachute pants. Not the roo at all. It's supremely soft and supple, and it's holding up great 100+ uses later.

SOOO Comfortable😍!!

I naivelythought that Eno was the best hammock out there, that was an expensive and disappointing mistake. It fell to pieces after 2 uses over 1 year. From REI I bought the Kammock Roo and 10ft straps. WHAT A PHENOMENAL NIGHT OF REST!! There is no comparison to the other brand. You can tell this is super high quality, it doesn't stretch when you sit in it. Its very well made and so freaking comfortable! Those straps don't stretch it all and that really helps. SUPER SATISFIED!!

Camp in It, Live in It!

My 2 Roo Doubles are amazing and essential. While I love them “in the wild,” I also hang them on my porch and slept in one all summer when I had house guests. More comfy than a bed, light, strong, beautiful, and holds me + multiple big dogs crashed out for a heavenly sleep suspended in the air. When I entertain, guests gravitate to the hammocks to sit, talk, recline, lounge, and tell tall tales long into the night. Too late to head home? They can just stay over in the hammocks. When they leave, the hammocks fold up into an efficient, hilariously compact bag. This isn’t just equipment for a special trip; it’s furniture for a charmed life I does and out. Bonus: the colors are stylish for the “Glampers” and distinctive enough for them to use as a visual landmark and find their way back to camp when they get lost! 😂

I will never buy another Hammock from anywhere else.

I'll start with this... BUY IT. You will not regret it. Hammocks are relatively simple and most of them are a lot alike. Kammok's as we call them around the house are the ones we as a family use. The construction is top notch! From the amazing fabric thats soft right out of the bag and seems to keep it soft for years. to the heavy duty straps that bundle the ends to the amazing carabiners at the ends. It's a quality Kammok and i've owned a few other Hammock brands. The Room Double is perfect to hold 2 full size people, 2 small children and a mid size dog. No joke it has been done. I'm sure pushing the limits to the suggested weight limit, but when it comes to cuddling in a Kammok, kids and dogs don't care about limits. It's so comfortable you will wonder why you don't have more. I keep on in my car for those times when i just want to take a break. I give them as gifts. They stand behind their products too, and it's the reason I keep coming back.

Another winner from Kammok!

After being impressed with the quality of our first Kammok purchase—the Firebelly 30's, we decided to try the Roo Double. We purchased 2 of them and WOW, needless to say we fell in love! My wife is average size, but I'm not a small guy at about 6' 3" 260lb—so I always hesitate when climbing onto/into anything that doesn't seem like it will hold my weight. After the third or fourth time of being extra slow and careful, I was getting in and out of the Roo Double with great ease and confidence. You'd never think it will support your weight based on how light and compact it is, but have no fear—it performs like a champ! Highly recommend it! And after the Firebellys and now the Roo Doubles... we're Kammok customers for life. Would love to have shared a photo, but I'm not seeing an option to upload one. Just trust us, don't skimp on cheap knockoffs only looking to make a quick buck. You get what you pay for and that goes double for outdoor equipment that needs to last in all sorts of conditions.

This is the hammock that started it all.

I wanted to try camping in a hammock, but I was a little afraid of it. So many questions ran through my head. Would I fall out in the middle of the night? Would I get cold? Would I get eaten by something? Bugs or even animals. I decided on my birthday 5 years ago that I was just going to buy one for myself and try it. I didn't want a cheaply made one because I'm a large guy and things aren't often made for me. I also didn't want to spend lot's of money on something that I might hate. The answer came with this hammock, which was on sale at REI. The sale price made it closer to the cheaper brands I had seen, but it also included a great warranty. Not to mention, REI would return it for up to a year if I didn't like it. So I took the chance, and I've never looked back. Some of my fears were valid, it can get cold, and bugs are awful sometimes, but wow how enjoyable it has made camping, especially after getting a bug net and quilt. Sleeping pads never hold up and are too thin and short for me most of the time. I was always lugging around so much gear just to be comfortable. This hammock is more than strong enough to hold me, long enough that I fit in it, and so comfortable. I absolutely love my hammock and it's the first thing I grab on any trip.

The _one_ bad kammok!

I own (and aggressively evangelize) many kammok products. I've made it a central part of my minimalist life. My swiftlet stand and Roo Double bundle ARE my sleep system at home. :-)

Maximum Comfy and Maximum Stylish

Single mom here. I love my Roo Double. It was my first purchase from Kammok. I've used it on camping trips, beach trips, in my house, and most recently at the park. I've hung it using python straps which is great, but it REALLY shines with the Swiftlet. Ohmygosh. I use it daily during the warm months with my hammock stand. One of the neatest things about the Double is the material which is silky soft - like "I moisturize on the daily" soft. Baby butt soft. It's cozy, friends! And the colors are vibrant. You ever order stuff and it shows up looking like oatmeal left out to dry? Kammok delivers. The colors of the fabric really pop and I enjoy that. We have the token orange, the light blue, and the purple, but I would love to own others. The kanga karabiners are easy to use and durable. In combination with the Swiftlet, it's sooooo easy to setup at the park in the shade and just lounge and read while the kids play. You'll get envious side-eyes from all the other parents. And if you have teacup humans they can easily climb in with you. I love this hammock so much that I've bought it for family members as a present. 5/5!!

Replaced My Bed!

I bought a Roo single at REI a couple years ago and used it extensively. I ordered a double this spring to use while staying at my dad's farm while waiting to close on our new house.

The Best Hammock hands down

This is the first time I have bought a hammock. On reading and researching a lot on the internet as to which hammock to buy, I stumbled upon Kammok as a brand. I must say that this is an amazing product. It is super soft, compact, easy to set up, breathable, stretchable, you name it, and comes in a ton of attractive colors. When I set up the Roo in a public park anywhere in the city, I get so many compliments from people passing by. I have had people see how easy is it was to set up the hammock, and then literally walk to me and ask which product is it. The Kammok Roo is a great example of how a quality product will sell itself. They don't need hefty marketing, word-of-mouth is enough. I have tried the cheap and popular hammocks available on Amazon, but the Roo is notches above them. I would suggest spending (I should rather call it 'Investing') a bit more now and be satisfied with your purchase for a lifetime, rather than repeatedly buying cheap products. On the bright side, it also helps to generate less waste.

Comfort, durability, packable

I Bought the Roo Double to be used for camping with the intention of sleeping in hammock rather than a tent. The Roo is made of super soft material that when I got it, I couldn't wait to lay in it. It's very spacious for one person to get a flat lay, set up is very easy and you can tell the quality is top notch with the stitching, material and the carabiners.

Hammock Heaven Achieved

Ok so let's assume you all have tried out a Hammock. Lounged in one, or camped in one at some point. (if you haven't, then well... You are missing out on one of the best ways to relax) However camping in one is not for everyone. Sometimes that reason isn't the related directly to the general idea of camping in a hammock, but more about the hammock you are using. Sometimes it feels like there is not enough space. Making you feel claustrophobic, cramped and squeezed in. It could very well be the hammock you are using. Yes i'm referring to Kammoks Vs. Hammocks. The standard run-of-the-mill hammock you can buy at various outdoor friendly places are ok... Some are good. The Roo's are AWESOME. Light, durable and well made. Just taking a feel of the slings and carabiners you will get an idea of what is in store. The Roo fabric is Super soft and feels strong, it doesn't feel at all like your typical "Ripstop" nylon material. Just lounging in a Roo with only a pair of boardshorts on feels fantastic. The fabric doesn't stick to you of feel too slippery. The Roo Double is the next level. Built for two adults or a few kids a dog (maybe two) and yourself. Which brings me to what I was saying earlier... More space. When i'm camping in a hammock I want a bit more room. Being able to lay diagonal is essential to me. I like the amount of space I get in the double for; a pad, a quilt and a pillow (don't judge). Enough room for various sleeping systems and combinations of your choice. As if that wasn't enough... Kammok makes connecting your gear to their hammocks a breeze, and plenty of awesome add ons.

Smallest Double Hammock Ever.

I bought this a week or so ago, i was excited because i bought the dragonfly bug net and was impressed with the spaciousness of it. But the mintue i climbed i to my Roo Double hammock i knew so.ething was off. Ive been camping with hammocks for a few years now and and just got back from a five day river trip. Each night i went to get cozy in my hammock, i had the hardest time finding the sweet spot. Everywhere i lay it was like sleeping on three strands of rope. Instead a nice cozy hang, i was trapped in an old world sail boat rigging net. I use a ridgeline on my hammocks to keep them in the right shape/hang to prevent these issues but i gernerally could not make this work. For being essentially an over priced nylon blacket with carabeaners im am really disappointed with how much this thing just did not work. Not to mention, those "kanga claws" are down right stupid and unweildy. Im okay with not selling the strap with the hammock. Most people serious about hammock camping throw them away regardless, but this means your charging $80 for lackluster hardware, and a plasic blanket. There is a huge market disconnect. Esspecially since my $40 everest hammock came with an intigrated bug net, was easier to sleep in, and weighs that same! Plus, its actually capable of sleeping two people in it!!! This hammocm is tiny, it is not a true double hammock.

[Rewarded Review] Sturdiest and comfiest ever!

This summer I ripped my hammock right down the center when I scrapped the bottom on a rock on a backpacking trip. This hammock (roo double) is so amazing I'm kinda glad I ripped my old one. This hammock is very spacious and you can fit two people in it no problem. It also has a bunch of loops they call utility hooks that you can clip things unto like a jbl clip speaker. The thing weights 1lb so really perfect for backpacking, and the biggest selling feature to me is the life time warranty, just register it on kammocks website and then if it ever gets ruined send it it to repair or replace it. The only thing that I was kinda disappointed on is it doesn't come with any straps to hang it so unless you have straps already you're going to need to buy some. The kammock python straps are pretty exspensive but in my opinion way worth it. They make set up a lot faster than ropes and somehow they make the hammock more cushiony. Overall great product!

Great Overall Hammock

I'll begin with my complaint, and that is that the hammock doesn't come included with straps. I think most consumers of this product are looking to hang in trees, and for the price they seem expected. Some people may already have straps, sure, but perhaps they can decline to have them included (but who wouldn't want a nice extra pair of straps?).
