You can see the bulbs!

I believe this design is flawed unless you like looking at the bulbs that the frosted glass is designed to cover. Because the glass doesn't come all the way to the base the bulbs can be seen if you aren't looking at the fixture straight on. The nickel base serves as a mirror thus showing the bulbs and bulb base. At a minimum they should provide covers for the bulb bases. Very well made Design is flawed.
