This is a well built bed frame, it’s black not a real tall headboard. If you want to see more of the spindles get a 12” mattress. Ours is a 14”, but I intend just go simple with our pillows laying flat, not like some I’ve had before with stand up pillows lining the back of our headboard. Enjoy yours!
We’ve only slept on it 1 night but already love it! It’s sturdy and was easy to assemble. No creaks so far!

Love the look of the bed. Good quality. Better than expected. Allen tench could have been longer. Read reviews about how long it took to put together. Customers were saying 1 - 2 hours and completed without help. My husband and I are in our late 70’s. It took us 6 hours over 2 days and 8 cups of coffee !
The bed design and appearance is nice. We like that it's sturdy and putting it together was not difficult. However, the quality of the finish is terrible. We got splinters trying to put this together as there are many areas where the sanding/coating was inadequate or poorly done, especially the headboard. We ended up having to use gloves. Not sure yet if we'll return or not as it's a major effort to take apart.

Assembly was easy, took me and my partner about 25 minutes. Pretty sturdy, but it’s only been a few days since we got it. It does slide around easily, very light frame. The bottom supports weren’t black like the pictures showed, they came as untreated wood pieces, but it’s not an issue and they could always be stained later. I will update my review in a few months
