These are great filters for drinking water. Easy to install and durable.

Good product, needs recycling info

Cartridges are good and as advertised, but we didn't receive any instructions for disposal or recycling for our old cartridges. I thought Kohler might offer a return-label or some instructions for recycling.

No longer recyclable

The cartridges and filter system work fine. Easy to change. Sadly, I spent a bunch of time doing my usual routine to recycle the cartridges, only to find that Kohler is no longer doing that

Outrageously overpriced for what it is.

Easy to replace cartridges. Replaced first set after 9 months of use instead of suggested 6 months. Water still tasted good after 9 months. Filters are a bit pricey.

I have been using Aquifer and purchased replacement filters several times. They are easy to replace.

NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE

We’ve had the acquirer system for 3.5 years. Every time we change the filters they leak. The seller (whether Kohler or a third party) always sends replacements, and usually they work, but the fact that 25-50% of the filters I’ve purchased leak tells you all you need to know about the quality of this system. I called Kohler one month ago with the same leaking issue and I’m still waiting for replacements for my “replacement” filters. Not thrilled with the customer service and the product isn’t with the trouble. I’ll switch to another filter system as soon as I can.

Awful

I don't know what it is like for others, but we have been living with this new filtration system for a year and it is terrible. They claim the filters (we use two at a time) last 6 months. Ha! We are lucky if they last three, and we are only a family of two people!! This has been consistent since we installed it.

The water in my apartment is so bad I had to by ice and bottled water to cook with before I installed the filter system. The replacement of the cartridges was very easy and seamless.

We had a plumber install the filtration system a couple of years ago. We're happy with the taste of the water and the filters are relatively easy to replace (just be sure to turn off the water before you replace the filters! The first time we had a misstep and there was water all over our kitchen floor!). My major complaint is that the filters last 3 months at most; after that the water trickles out at a slow rate. When you pay $95 each time for the replacement filters, this is an expensive proposition over the course of a year. It's just my husband and I but we fill two 64 oz. water bottles daily.

Installed the Kohler duel cartridge under-sink water filter in July 2020. All was well. Replaced both filter cartridges in May 2021, but one of them leaked. Sent them back to Home Essentials Direct for replacements, which I received quickly. But now after 5 months the water flow is about 50% less than it was when the filters were new. Also, a noticeable chlorine taste has returned. Pretty disappointed with the short life of the replacement cartridges and the cost to replace has increased substantially since May. I will give the replacement cartridges one my try, but if they perform poorly I will move on to a different under-sink water filter system.

Handy

Been using it for awhile. Really convenient for filling all my water bottles,water for cooking grains,pet dishes. It was easy to install myself. Easy to change filters. The filters are bulky to send back. Not sure that's an option anymore. The are quite expensive. But, it's either this or getting the 5 gallon bottles refilled and taking up space. I do recommend them,just be prepared to pay for replacement filters!

Great Filters

I buy these as replacements for my Kohler Aquifer filter system, they are easy to install and they offer a recycling option. No problems at all. Only negative is they are kind of expensive.

Quality down the tubes

When I first bought my Kohler filtration system, it worked great. Filters were made in the United States, the flow was excellent, the water tasted good and there was a filter recycling program. Now everything is down the tubes with Kohler. Within 6 months of my purchase, Kohler started making the filters in China, and they changed the content of them. Debris from the filters is now clogging my brand new Grohe kitchen faucet that I had my plumber install at the same time the Kohler filter was installed. Within a year the faucet is clogged and I had to pay the plumber $200 to come out and fix the faucet and remove the Kohler system.
