Disappointing

The valve doesn’t regulate temperature well.

Don't purchase this kit.

I purchased this kit on May 2021 together with KOHLER Fairfax 1-Handle Wall-Mount Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit in Polished Chrome (Valve not included). It can't be shut down today. Cartridge is broken. Cartridge replacement alone costs almost the same price as that of the kit back then. I have two cheap alternatives at home. They were purchased at the same time and have had no problems. Not worth the money. And it is not stocked in local store. No water until we receive the replacement!

I ordered the wrong item - not their fault, though

This is probably a great product, but it wasn’t the one I needed. The people at Kohler told me to get this, but when the plumber came to install it he said I only needed to replace the cartridge. Build.com did a great job of delivering it promptly and processing a refund when I returned it.

Contractor installed without any issues, turned it to the highest temp and it seems satisfactory

Cannot adjust flow

Big drawback to this item is, it's either all the on or all the way off. If you want to cut back the flow, it is not adjustable

the pressure valve works great, no longer shakes and makes noise when using hot water

Well engineered and easy to install.

Couldn’t be installed due to a missing part.

Arrived broken with missing pieces

The fixture was broken into multiple pieces and the kit was missing the piece to test for leaks.

Old trim, new valve.

Easy to install if the installer is comfortable with sweating copper pipes. I am happy it came with the conversion ring. I had an older trim which originally was installed with a 304 valve.

No Leaks!

Finally a shower valve that does not leak! Great product.

This Rite-Temp Pressure-balancing valve is the best showering experience I have ever had! Guests who have showered using this valve, shower head, and trim don't want to get out of the shower.

Great unit, soundly built

the overall design of the product is fantastic, but as a DIYer, trying to follow the instruction sequences is a little challenging, but both installations I did were successful and very happy with the outcome.
