These don't actually lock. We have these throughout our apt, including bathroom, and they never worked. People can just walk right in! Don't recommend.

Absolutely perfect!

We had a door that we decided to use as a pocket door. All the holes were predrilled so I had to find something that would fit. I had looked several places but I couldn't find what I was looking for. As soon as it came, we installed it, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

We are installing a few pocket doors in our home and this lock is just what we needed. This is very easy to install and works great. The satin chrome finish matches our other knobs we have throughout.

This lock was easy to install. It did not look as high quality as the picture and it was more squared off vs round. Also it was slightly shinny and did not match my existing brushed silver hardware. However, it was very easy to install and use. Overall it is average for the value.

We recently built a barn-door to close off our basement stairway, but with grand-babies we did not want them to be able to open the door which meant we had to find just the right lock. Our door is set up similar to a pocket door and needed a pocket door lock set. After searching we found the Kwikset round design door lock and it was the fit we needed. We have had the lock in place for a few months now. This lock fits up to 1 3/8 inch to 1 ¾ inch thick doors. The lock set can be used on both left and right-handed doors. It can be used on a pre-drilled door with an opening of 2 1/8 inches. The installation was quick, and it only requires a screwdriver. The locking knob is inset so there is no issue when closing or opening the door. The only thing I did not like is it’s a little hard to turn the knob but doable. It works great on our door and no more worries about the door being opened by the little ones. The finish is a satin nickel. I would buy this lock set again.

We needed a lock for our closet that stored important stuff. We frequently have guests over and didn’t want them to accidentally open the closet and see all the mess. This is perfect since it was small enough and looked very sleek. Installation was easy and straightforward. It seems very durable and will last a long time. Very happy with this lock.

Tab used to pull door out of wall broke off. Used only by 2 adults.

excellent support team helped with problem

I have Kwikset door handles throughout my house and experienced a problem with my pocket door latch (thumb pull broke). The warranty support team efficiently corrected the problem with replacement part provided. Base upon my experience, I will continue to use Kwikset products as I upgrade several door handles.

Small problem solved

I had a small problem in that the metal door would not take the throw piece that came with my lock.

Contacted the company as we were having issues with our door lock. They were quick to respond and sent us a replacement at no charge. Have to like a company that stands behind their product and are willing to replace a defective unit.

I have installed a number of these, Much nicer than the notch type and allows you to reuse a door slab for a pocket door, or just order a new one with a standard bore.
