Rack doesn't hold up and cannot be replaced. DO NOT BUY

We stopped using this roaster years ago because the rack just didn't hold up. We used it maybe a dozen times in total. Like all the other reviewers on this site, we found that the non-stick coating flaked off in no time. We followed the suggestion of another reviewer to call All-Clad for a replacement. That's when the real trouble started. In short, they told us that their "life-time-warranty" didn't apply because they accused us of scratching off the coating with metal implements. After months of arguing with them, they finally agreed that we could send it in for assessment. Then they informed me that they wouldn't back their guarantee because they claimed the rack wasn't an All-Clad rack--the one that the pan came with originally! All I am trying to do is get a replacement rack so I can use the roasting pan again. They don't sell the rack separately--why?!?!?--and refuse to replace it under their useless guarantee. This company should be ashamed of themselves!

Rack doesn’t last, but All Clad will replace it

I have owned this roasting pan for years but never use it because the rack has lost all of its coating and I worry about the health hazards. Now seeing all the other reviews below, clearly I’m not the only one who has this problem. They do not sell a replacement rack. However they have a lifetime warranty on the nonstick coating, so if you call them, they will send you a replacement rack. So buy this item if you’re ok with replacing the rack after every few uses. I hope it can be recycled.

Love the pan, hate the rack

I was gifted this roasting pan about ten years ago and absolutely love it. It is large, conducts heat well, and as a bonus still looks brand new!

Love the pan -- hate the rack.

Use my pan 1-2x a year and every year look for a replaced rack insert because my is peeling too and is getting worst. Just called Customer Service and they basically told me to buy a universal rack off the internet. You would think that if the are aware of the situation -- which they obviously are by the number of bad review about the rack -- they would either offer a replacement rack or redesign the rack coating.

Pan is great, rack is not

Same problem as so many here- coating on rack began to come away after only a few turkeys. Like the others, I used no abrasive cleaners etc. Love the pan but every Thanksgiving I’m stuck trying to find an alternative rack. Difficult to replace due to size…..

Love the pan, hate the rack. Like others, the coating on the rack has begun to flake off after limited use and nothing abrasive in utensils or cleaning. Since this is not up to AllClad's standards, they should replace it for free, but I'd be willing to pay for a replacement. Unfortunately, there is none. The pan itself is great.

Terrible Coating

We were gifted this rack for our wedding. We typically cook a prime rib using the closed oven method. I'm not sure if the rack can't withstand a 500* oven but multiple pieces of the black coating on the rack peeled off. I don't know if it was necessarily the heat or just poor quality, but I would not recommend if you don't want pieces of coating in your food.

ALL-CLAD doesn't stand behind their products

I bought their large stainless steel roaster with rack about 6 years ago, this has very little use and now I don't use it at all because of the non stick coating chipping away from the rack. I never used any steel utensils with the roaster for one purpose only, AVOID CHIPPING OF THE COATING. I contacted all-clad and sent some pictures trying to get a replacement. All they had to say was misuse and using steel utensils. again I never used steel utensils.

Best roasting pan ever.

This roasting pan is the perfect example of you get what you pay for. Performance wise I've made a king size lasagna in it with the pasta staying most and Not dried!! I cooked a 12 lb Rib roast for Christmas and for the au jus sauce I just removed the roast and added beef broth to the dripping in the pan while heat it up on top of the stove right from the oven. And I love the stay cool handles which are cool in less than 5 minutes out of the oven.

All around top notch

This pan is fantastic. I have other All Clad cookware so I didn’t expect anything less. It’s heavy, the handles are large enough to support more than you could fit. The included rack is a nice touch for ease of use, and it’s heavy duty as well. Rack works great and still leaves room for mirepoix.

Great roasting pan

This large roasting pan is super nice quality, heavy duty stainless steel that you can just feel will last forever. It comes with the roasting rack which helps so much, I can easily transfer the meat out to collect the drippings. The two large handles are nice and it is easy to wash after use. I like the large size as I can fit vegetables around the meat. Highly recommend this roaster, I have been wanting one for years and now wish I got one sooner.

Roasting Pan

This heavy duty roasting pan is a kitchen essential. Perfect for every day use but I really look forward to roasting a 20 pound turkey during the holidays. Comes equipped with rack to separate your food from it's juices or cooking liquid for an even cook and Perfect, crisp browning. The pan is on the heavy side and can be difficult to lift in and out of the oven with carpel tunnel but I know the weight comes with a good quality pan. The handles are durable and make it easier. It's also dishwasher safe if you are looking for easy clean up.

SIZE WAS PERFECT!

When I received this I immediately went out and purchased a turkey to cook like it was Thanksgiving Day in June. It fit perfectly a 20 pound turkey and cooked it beautifully. The nonstick surface in the pan works great when it comes to getting all the dripping up to make a tasty gravy. I ll definitely be recommending this roaster to family and friends.

Awesome huge pan!

This pan is awesome! Its heavy duty with the best grip handles on a pan I’ve ever seen. It’s perfect for big cuts of meat like hams, pork shoulders, turkeys. The rack insert has the perfect shape for keeping the meat from rolling and from sitting in its juices. You can also remove the rack and use the pan for baking large casseroles or my favorite is cornbread dressing. And It’s dishwasher safe which is an added bonus! I love this pan. I could not be more pleased!

Quality baking pan

Wanted a pan like my son has for roasting beef and turkey. Like the rack to provide all around heat and roasting. The pan my son has is full stainless and is hard to clean. Wanted a nonstick pan and this seems to be the best of all. Is very heavy and well made, clean up is much easier than the full stainless steel. Would recommend and would purchase again.
