The wiring that fit my original outlets are to wide for these outlets. I ended up having to wrap the wires around the screws on the outlets instead of pushing the wires in to the back of the out let. I bought a full box of these outlets, used so I am don’t think I can return them.

I was very skeptical of installing these because on most tamper outlets it is very difficult to plus something in, I was pleasantly surprised with these that I could plug in an appliance without breaking my box. Very easy to insert plug.

Great outlets! We just had 2 bedrooms painted, so we wanted to update the outlets as well. These look great and have the tamper resistant aspect which is what we wanted. Only downside is that they take awhile to replace. We replaced a total of 10 (5 in each bedroom) and took 2 hours.

I have an 8 month old son that has figured out he likes to touch and grab everything. Rather than purchasing the cheesy plastic outlet plugs, I decided to replace all of the exposed outlets with the tamper resistant outlets. These are not very expensive and are not an eye sore like the plastic plugs.

Tamper resistant is the way to go!

I always choose tamper resistant outlets when replacing receptacles. The outlets not only look better, they keep little fingers out and keep dust and such out of the outlet. The sides are clearly marked for the black and the white wires and supply in and out.
