[Rewarded Review] Whole Family LOVES This Refrigerator

We decided to splurge & get the best refrigerator they had to offer, when our old refrigerator went out. Even though it’s expensive, it definitely didn’t disappoint! The craft ice is wonderful. It melts slowly, so your drink is never watered down.

[Rewarded Review] The worst purchase i have ever made (i mean it)

I love this fridge when its working. Unfortunately it does not seem to do thet very often. when I tell you I dreamt about the convertable drawer, the ice cubes that are huge spheres and every time I passes it in the store i would give it a little *knock knock* on the glass to light up the window. It worked great for a few months, but multiple repairs from both best buy and LG later and now it just decides to melt all my ice cream and spoil my food if i look at it wrong for no reason. The ice maker also no longer works. Its been our ‘drink’ fridge for almost a year since it went out of warrany and everyone stopped helping us. Its like I threw the 4k i paid in the trash with all the spoiled meat and melted ice cream i had to toss. I have tried reaching out to LG multiple times, since they do have a pending lawsuit about this, last time they told me ‘good news! Your refrigerator seems to be working!’ As I was chatting with them about how all my frozen goods were melted again. We have two vissani apartment fridge/freezers we live out of now, they were $100 and they have never failed us. Just save yourself the trouble and get a more reliable fridge.

Versatile and efficient

I like this fridge and its 3 + 1 compartments. Most freidge have the same functions nowadays but it is all a question of convenience, energy efficiency and design. The separated tray for cheese product allows opening just that compartment and not the whole fridge when I need a few products. Similarly, I have a few sauce in the upper right door and it can be opened from the outside without opening the full door )this saves a lot of energy and cold). The water filter is easily reachable (my previous Kenmore was a bit of a pain frankly as I had to remove things from the fridge to tilt the compartment door holding the filter - this one has it in the door and really easy to change). The freezer has a sizeable dimension. Finally, the LG app allows you to set additional energy saving features based on on your recorded usage of the fridge (how many times you open the doors and when).

[Rewarded Review] Very Good Product

The LG 29.5 Cu. Ft 4-door French Door-in-Door has been a very good purchase. The shortened French door style is sufficient for the refrigerator section since it is much deeper than our 23 yr old full French door Kitchen Aid that we replaced. We use the middle drawer for cheeses and bread which leaves the freezer drawer perfect for the few items we freeze. We already have a full size freezer in the garage for longer term frozen storage. So far, this refrigerator passes our requirements. We especially love the custom ice balls. There are only two down sides. The first is that there is a temperature variation between the door-in-door section and the interior of the refrigerator. We finally found the temp (33 degrees which is the lowest possible setting) to set both so that the fluctuation stays higher than freezing and lower than 40 degrees.

[Rewarded Review] Stay far away from this fridge and from LG

Stay far away from this fridge and from LG. After one month from purchasing this fridge, the ice maker stopped working. After changing the ice maker, motherboard and other components, the fridge still didn’t work. Best Buy was gracious enough to exchange it for a new one. Unfortunately, the ice make and freezer stopped working. This time, I had to work with LG for the repairs. After a month and multiple attempts to fix it, my fridge still didn’t work. I had to throw away everything in the freezer. I escalated the issue to Rachel, the Presidential Liaison, and I received the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. She’s been non-responsive and received nothing but empty promises for updates. I had to buy a new fridge and still have not been refunded by LG. I will never buy an LG product again and advice everyone to stay far away from them.

Great extra features on this refrigerator!

The stainless steel exterior easier to keep clean. We opted for the round ice maker in the freezer. The round ice is unique, looks cool and melts much slower than the regular cubes. The beverage isn't watered down because the large ice ball doesn't melt down fast. The drawer can be used as a refrigerator or freezer with a simple press of a button. The drawer is convenient for smaller frozen items that are used frequently like ice cream bars, frozen fruit popsicles, bacon, butter, frozen veggies and the like. I love the glass door that you tap and a light turns on so you can see the items and grab them fast without loosing the cold temperature. My milk and bottled drinks go in this area. The drawers inside for veggies and meat are very large and slide very easily. The filter is smartly placed and easily changed. The filter lasts 6 months. The ice maker in the door works great with adjustments for crushed ice size. The lighting inside is very good.

[Rewarded Review] Terrible, terrible, terrible

If I could give this LG refrigerator a negative rating I would! We purchased in April of 21 and it was delivered to our home in May of 21. Within a few months, the craft ice maker stopped producing ice. This should have been our first clue. Had the ice maker replaced. Then 3 years in the regular ice maker quit working. I finally called out the LG authorized repair technician and he determined that it was not cooling properly. Talked to LG and ran diagnostics. They replaced the Di Drier. Came back a week later...still no ice but seemed to be cooling properly. Replaced ice maker. A Week later, still no ice. Technician came out and checked. Not cooling properly again. LG recommended replacing the entire sealed system. Technicians came out a week later and did just that. That is when my refrigerator up and DIED. Long story short, LG sent the wrong parts which caused my fridge to completely quit. They sent out the correct parts and the technicians put those in, However, my refrigerator and freezer temps hover between 45-60 degrees. Last time the technician visited, he had LG on speaker phone in my kitchen and they recommended a replacement. I have gone through the process and the "escalation department" is telling me that I don't qualify to have the appliance replaced...what??? I haven't had a refrigerator that works properly for 3 months and have had technicians in my home no less than 10 times without a resolution. LG's response is they can send a technician out... The technicians have repeatedly told me it can't be fixed. I spent close to $4000 three and a half years ago on what I thought was a top of the line appliance. It is complete garbage and the worst appliance purchase ever. Now I'm faced with having to purchase another one just a few years later. LG and their customer service is completely terrible. DO NOT BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!

[Rewarded Review] Good fridge with some minor quirks

We've had this fridge for nearly two months now, and so far it has been wonderful. The lighting is exceptional inside the fridge, no more dark corners where food goes to die like our old fridge. The mini-door on the right is fun, along with the "double-tap on the glass to engage lights" functionality. I wouldn't say it is life changing or anything, but it is fun and moderately useful.

[Rewarded Review] Almost hated it but patience is required

I’ve had this item for three weeks now and I can finally give it a five star.. I was so excited about the craft ice and fairly new design upgrades, however here’s my experience.. the day we received it it took ALL day for the freezer section to get cold (fridge portion got cold quick within 2hrs) which was a cause for concern for my groceries that had already been sitting in coolers awaiting the new unit arrival. (Old fridge needed to be empty for them to take it and we were given a 4hr time frame for arrival) next the ice makers did not seem to be working, it took 3 days to fill the upper bin and the craft ice had only 3 balls (used ice plus option on day 2 and that’s all we got). (Filter in and water purged thru dispenser prior) I used an ice ball in my drink and it ruined it, after tasting the ice by itself it tasted like acetone (immediately discarded all), purged about 3 more gallons thru the dispenser to be sure before I contact the store or lg. After giving this expensive fridge another 2 days (due to its slow ice production) we had ice! Full door bin and about 12 balls in the bottom and they tasted like water! Yay! Finally we are happy with this fridge, hubby was ready to call the first day! Caution! be patient and you will not be disappointed, air filter not the easiest to remove but I’m only 5’3 and not very muscular lol.

2nd ice maker useless/freezer thawed twice already

The craft icemaker makes 1 ball a day (maybe) and is extremely loud repeated thumping every time it produces a ball. Bumps Loud for several seconds and I mean LOUD. This 2nd "craft" ball ice maker takes up a large amount of space in freezer and is useless because of the low output and was a main reason I bought this expensive frig as we use a lot of ice. I thought "two icemakers" - that will be great, but no. Had it under 1.5 years and freezer has already thawed twice causing loss of all contents because the condenser coils were "dirty". Does not give a warning light or any notice - just thaws all contents. A fancy frig like this should at least warn you if it is thawing. The temp on the display just shows where you have it set, not what the actual temp is. Have to put in a hand thermometer and watch it everytime I open the freezer to monitor it now that I've twice lost all in the freezer in this short time.
