Really Cool Refrigerator

We've only had the refrigerator a few days, but we like it so far. I'm impressed with it's features and my research and the delivery folks said GE refrigerators are excellent and much better than the LG and Samsung brands. We ordered this on-line from Costco for piece of mind, savings, cash back, delivery and extended warranty. The only surprises we had when it arrived have been pleasant surprises. When measuring you should take into account the opening of the doors and the freezer. Even with the counter depth we have just enough room to open the freezer all the way. Ours is Stainless Steel, but it's black on the sides. We're fine with this as our other appliances are black, however that is something everyone should know. My only criticism is I could use a little more freezer space even at the expense of the refrigerator section.

Love the deep door shelves

There are so many features I like. I got the icemaker in the freezer and its nice to always have loads of ice cubes. The door shelves are deep and can hold half gallon or gallon milk cartons. It saves from having to dig around in the back of the refrigerator looking for things. I also like the warning on the door if doors are left ajar. Lots of room and well-thought out interior making for a very convenient refrigerator.

GE Profile makes an excellent refrigerator. Very clean stainless doors with no fingerprints! Very pleased with our choice!

Love it!

So far, so good. We had a GE Profile previously and liked it. It had two drawers for the freezer portion, so I'm getting used to only having one, but I think the new one holds more. We did not want an outside ice/water dispenser. The ice maker puts out plenty and shuts off when the bin is full. The water dispenser in the side wall is a bit awkward, so we don't use it much. There are other GE designs that has the water in the door, but they didn't fit the space we have. I'd still recommend this unit.

Great styling!

So far we love it. It runs very quietly and since there are only two of us the smaller interior with the cabinet depth has not been a problem. We don’t have the waterline hooked up yet but the ice and water feature will be so convenient. And it’s beautiful!

Overall great refrigerator.

We used to have GE Profile refrigerator for 17 years and have replace it with a new Profile. We like this refrigerator. More sophisticated than the previous model. Nice design. Bright light inside. Keeping a stable temperature in the main area and the freezer.

Good fridge but feels cheaper than it should.

It is a good fridge with lots of space. Simple, and handsome looking, but the build quality feels cheap especially since it’s the “profile” line

Not worth it.

Nothing but problems. Very loud. Bought the extended warranty and they keep coming out. Replaced fans. Ice make and water slowed down to a stop. They said need to replace the filter more. Just bought a new fill tee and now nothing comes out. Stay away from GE not a quality product like it used to be.

Nightmare

This Refrigerator has been nothing but a hassle from day one. the fresh food condenser gets iced up every couple months. I have replaced every piece that has to do with the defrost function and nothing has fixed the issue. the support from GE has been non existent. Researching has proved that the design of this fridge is very poor. Big surprise that GE no longer makes this model.

Good Quality

Refrigeration is a quality product, doors shut & seal tight. Very good temperature control.

Love Profile line

Have always used GE products. Currently have Profile line in our kitchen. Last refrigerator (GE Profile) lasted 20 years. Great products. Efficient, stylish, designed well and very good quality.

Poor design and installation of water lines

Water line routing is shoddy. Way more than just cosmetic, could cause disastrous leaks inside the house later on. A line exits sideways from the back of the fridge, sticks out past the fridge, catches on cabinets. Why not design it to exit toward the center of the fridge, and secure in place? Another line goes straight out the back and hits the wall when the fridge is in position. This line is pretty rigid and not one you can simply bend down and tape to fridge. Better design/assembly is needed

GE Profile Cabinet depth refrigerator

So far so good. Some great features. Only complaint is that the button inside the fridge door for filtered water is very hard to press. You have to lean your whole body into it. This needs to be changed.

Bright light is this refrigerator’s primary appeal

Just received this and am amazed at the wonderful lighting inside. Not happy that only the temperature settings are shown and not the real temps! For the money, that is a sore point. Good looking exterior and nice my ice maker is hooked up I will try that out!

Incredible fridge!

After my 17 year old GE Profile fridge broke down I decided to buy the latest GE Profile fridge and wow what a difference! I absolutely love this fridge. Not only does it look great but it holds a lot and you no longer take away from the space inside the fridge and freezer by having the water dispenser inside and the ice maker in one of the huge freezer compartments.
