perfect for baking and bread making. bakes everything MUCH more evenly than my glass and aluminum loaf pans. makes the perfect crust on my sourdough bread when preheated. quite an investment, especially if you wanna buy more than one, but of course they'll last longer than a lifetime.

Great pan. No issues with bread sticking. I made a sandwich loaf and no problems with cooking through or burning. Clean up was easy!

Handles chipped on loaf pan

I ordered one then a replacement. They are second or third quality with large chips in the handles. The price was premium price and the quality is very poor.

Cast Iron Loaf Pans

These pans are a good size and bake a very nice bread. I have only used them once so far but the bread came out of the pan easily and had a beautiful crust.

We have coated bread pans, aluminum pans, and now cast iron bread pans. We never knew the cast iron pan baked better bread then the other pans. It's the go to pan for baking bread!

has rough edges on one side. You can tell where it had been cut by the plasma cutter. Was going to send it back but to much trouble. Cooked cornbread in it and it came out perfect.

Gorgeous loaves of bread!

I love the dimensions for the Lodge loaf pans! The loaf pans I had previously were too wide to allow my loaves to get real tall, but the loaves I made in the Lodge loaf pans were just right! I used them the same day I bright them home - washed them lightly with soap and water and greased lightly before placing the dough in to rise. The pans released the baked loaves beautifully!

Great for sourdough!

Great results when making sourdough! The pans have a great shape and can withstand the high temps needed for sourdough. The pans are factory seasoned, but I did a thin film of oil, then one piece of parchment left long enough for lifting handles. After baking, a quick rinse, dry, then nested for storage. Per Lodge storage tips, I put paper towels in between the nested pans.
