Poorly Made at Joints

I bought this for my newborn granddaughter to place her baby books and teddy bears on. The bottom of shelf collapsed unexpectedly and fell on my granddaughter while she was doing tummy time. Thankfully she was not harmed, just bruised. There was 2 medium pooh bears, and 12 small board books. I am very disappointed with this product. I'm hoping we just received a defective shelf. I'm attaching pictures. I think the corners were very weak because that's where there was thin material. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

Not sturdy

It takes two peopleto put together. Also plan on following the directions and take your time. In the end, it is really beautiful and looks wonderful in our smaller walkin closet. Tons of storage space!

Not a simple assembly, finished product is pretty.

This was NOT easy to assemble. I have been buying a lot of things that require assembly lately, so I am in the zone. First of all, this would be very much easier with two people. It's possible with one, but NOT easy. The instructions are pretty good, but not great. I thought one of the parts was completely missing, but after a couple of hours of trying to figure out how to get a replacement part, I found that two of the pieces were already put together, and since they were small pieces, it wasn't all that evident. In the end, I didn't put it together correctly and gave up. I just painted the parts that didn't turn out the way I expected. Also, if you are doing this with one person, even on a carpet, you are likely going to have to touch up corners and edges. Once it's together, it's pretty sturdy, but it definitely requires more patience than I had that day.

Not worth the money!

This bookcase is made of a composite wood with a very thin veneer and is about the same quality as the cabinets that we purchased for garage storage - only those cabinets were about half the price. Assembly was difficult. We are making this one work because returning it would be difficult and in the end, our books are on the shelf. However, I definitely would not buy this again.

Nice, good quality bookshelf

The bookshelf comes in two long, heavy boxes. It is easy to assemble if you follow the picture instructions. I recommend having two people working on the assembly. Carefully note the locations of the holes on the interior top and bottom pieces as the top has two extra holes near the center for attaching it to the "roof". This wasn't so clear in the pictures. The finished product is quite nice, but it seems like it wouldn't take much force to tip it over, so make sure you use the straps that comes with it to attach it to the wall. It is nice that there are options for the locations of the shelves. Overall, we are very pleased with the bookshelf.

We bought two of these bookcases even though there were some negative reviews in terms of the quality and the assembly.

Fits my space. I am using it to hold lightweight items. Books might be too heavy.

Very disappointed

We don't recommend this product. It's ok. What we don't like is the line or seam down the middle of the back panel. You really can't see it when you look at the image online. The holes that are along the sides so that you can adjust the shelves show and look very tacky. The directions are not the best. I would like to return this item.

Tall, wide, stately looking bookcase. Some pieces were incredibly hard to assemble, (I didn't believe other reviews that said this) requiring a lot of time and patience. Namely inserting the back into the slot that holds it in place. It just would not stay. The bookcase needs to be on its side while you do this or else you can't see how the bottom fits onto the sides.

Arrived with some damage but figured it could be hidden. It’s particle board and cardboard backing... looks pretty good from across the room though. I’d recommend that once you have the individual pieces together, build up. . building.
