I ended up buying separate pieces instead of the full kit so this way I had extra shoe storage. I absolutely LOVE the way it fit PERFECTLY in my closet. It’s gorgeous!!! I’m gonna have fun buying more clothes for my other closet now that I’ve pretty much filled this up. Ladies, I’m 50 years old and was able to put this together all by myself. No help what so ever. If you are not bolting this to the wall, you can do it. It took me two days but it was well worth it. I could have done it in one but I’m glad I didn’t. I was able to think outside the box and assemble this proactively. Well worth the money for this set! Thanks Wayfair!

ClosetMaid Shoe Unit

I absolutely love this piece! It is well made and I was assemble to assemble it myself. I have had several other shoe storage items and this is by far the best, This is perfect for holding our everyday shoes and eliminating clutter. I am looking forward to purchasing other pieces from this collection.

This product was just okay. Be careful when putting together because the overlay comes off very easily. Wait to put the backing on until after you put your shelving in. We made the mistake of following the directions and then the shelves wouldn't fit because the backing was on too tight. It will serve the purpose but it's not a very quality piece.

I combined this with the drawer unit to make better use of my weird-sized entry closet. the units in this collection come with exact hardware counts, so be careful not to spill or misplace any of those screws or dowels. the optional shelves just sit on the pegs so they dislodge easily, I affixed bumpers to the shelves behind the pegs to prevent that. I would classify this as behind doors furniture because while it functions well for storage purposes, the panels dont fit together perfectly and its not a polished look. overall it worked well for my situation, but I docked a star for the unforgiving build and imperfect panels.

I love it

Perfect shelf size to sort all of my clothes by type with middle dividers. Easy enough to put together. Like the grey color. I bought four, will be adding on to complete my finished closet with a middle bar and the pull out drawers modular by closet maid.

Looks good - Lots of issues

I would not order this again. The dowels do not fit well and several broke during the process. The composite boards wanted to break apart. I ended up ordering several sets of dowels to the specifications identified (last set from the UK) just to be able to get this together and working. It looks good but I would never order it again.

Nice Shelf

Nice shelf! It was very easy and quick to assemble like all the other shelves in the line. It stacked nicely on top of the drawers from this line. My one issue is with the smaller shelf inserts. They're designed to just sit atop little metal dowels. Unfortunately these smaller shelf inserts do not fit very snugly and can easily be pulled out when grabbing things from the shelf. I opted to not put them in as I would probably find it frustrating with long term use. I'm considering putting them in but using an adehsive or museum putty to hold them in place. The compartments also seem to be non-standard sizes so I'm struggling to find a storage bin to use in it.

Nice design, decent quality, though particleboard could be more dense and better quality. Very easy to assemble. I ordered multiple units. I had one box arrived damaged, but wayfair.com took care of it. If you use handy man for assembly open the boxes and inspect unit first.

Pretty nice little cabinet. Mostly particle board. Definitely light duty. Bought 3 units-one for each bedroom closet. Took about an hour to out each one together. Cost about $* for each one. So decent value. Does look nice all out together. Time will tell as to how it holds up.

This was easy to build, great size, very sturdy, nice addition to a closet if you need something that looks like a built-in closet part. We are using 2 of them right next to a built-in to make it look extended and have shoes and purses stored, ignore the messiness in the photo, but wanted to show how it looks.

Well packaged and no damage on panels. Not too hard to assemble. There was a couple holes not predrilled that hubby had to drill. Added clear doors to see my purses and left back panel off to see the wallpaper behind. Sturdy, looks good and not too pricey. Just what I was looking for!

The unit is sturdy but the shelves wiggle/fall

I bought this shelf for my husband's closet. It arrives in one box and completely disassembled. Assembly takes about 30 minutes if you do it alone. The unit and shelves are deep enough to hold his size 13 shoes. The unit is very sturdy; but the shelves fall down pretty often. The design is such that it allows a bit of a slant to see more of your shoes while they are stored. The back part of the shelves tends to slip out of the small bracket holding it and fall onto the shelf below.

Shipping was much better on this unit and arrived in good condition. Slightly disappointed in that it is such a large piece and does not hold nearly as many shoes as I was hoping for-but it is as pictured so that is my own fault. Just don't fool yourself into thinking it can do more than what is shown.

The Closetmaid Modular Closet Divided Shelf Unit is handy and looks great next to my other Closetmaid modular units. I stacked this unit on top of the 4-drawer Closetmaid unit. Shelf spaces are adjustable and it is useful organization to have more small spaces to store clothing and accessories.

My business deeply regrets this purchase - the dowel holes were not aligned properly, and I had to re-drill the holes in order to put this shelf together. That is totally unacceptable, and I expect the products I purchase to be manufactured correctly. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or bandwidth to repackage and return this product, as my time is worth more than this. My business will think twice before purchasing this product line again via Wayfair.

shoes organized

This unit works well to keep shoes arranged and accessible in one place. Not difficult to assemble if you review the instructions first. However, it may not accommodate as many pair as described depending on the width and type of shoe. One unit only holds 2 pair of shoes per shelf. That resulted in my buying a second unit to fill my need.

I ordered a few of these in diff styles for my sons room and love them. They shipped/arrived quickly and were easy enough to put together. I put 7 of them together myself and only needed help stacking them. They seem sturdy and look great. Recommend and want more for my own closet!

Very good unit for the price. Looks good, nice color, and came quickly.

We had a very serious storage issue in our recently purchased home. We had a very large walk in closet with only one wire hanger three walls. We added three walls of wire storage and clothing hangers and added 2 of these for additional storage. It is now perfect and will help tremendously with resale down the road. we did have some flaws in side panels with delivery and Wayfair hooked us up and sent us new side panels to replace so it looks like new.
