Best utility sink ever

Our plumber recommended Elkay for beauty and longevity when we remodeled our utility/laundry room. Sink was installed about three weeks ago. We chose 12 inch deep sink with R drain as we will also use it to wash our dogs. Undermount sink installed with new counter top. Commercial quality with beauty for the home. Made in USA a plus! The quality of construction, fit, and finish are beyond excellent. We could not be happier! Now when I see "Elkay" fixtures at schools, churches, hospitals, veterinarian's office I understand why this manufacturer was chosen.

The finish on this sink is rough to the touch...

The finish on this sink is rough to the touch and the sound dampening is weak. For half the price you can get a much better Elkay 16 gauge sink (crosstown) if the size and shape works for you. It also came in minimal packaging which means you will be lucky to get it I damaged.

We have had the sink for about 2 weeks, and...

We have had the sink for about 2 weeks, and we're using the rack inside to keep items off the bottom. The fit and finish is very good, along with the radius corners allow for good drainage. And it is easy to clean without having to dig into corners of most sinks...We are pleased with the selection and will likely give it 5 stars, however 4 stars is it until we have more time with the sink to be sure it really does hold up under more frequent use. Its looking good so far...

This Lustertone undermount stainless steel sink is gorgeous, solid, and high-quality. It's deep and long enough for all your pots and pans. The reason I wouldn't recommend it is because the drain is so far back. It will significantly limit the type of garbage disposal unit you can install, not to mention cause more aggravation for the plumber who has to install it. I would suggest a sink with a center drain -- easier to install the plumbing and garbage disposal. Don't rely on the template when cutting out the countertop -- use the actual sink. Also, be aware: this sink requires a 33 inch wide cabinet (according to the instructions). There are other sinks out there (almost as large) that accommodate a typical 32 inch wide cabinet.

I put this in my last house when we renovated the kitchen and am doing the same with this one. We use this as the main sink on the counter and pair with a 16" Elkay on the island. Big enough on it's own of course, but we have the room for a prep/hand washing sink, hence the smaller one that we added.

Satisfied, but it definitely scratches easily

Nice finish and large surface area

The finish on Elkay sinks does a nice job of hiding scratches. I also think the undercoating keeps the sink quieter.

Perfect sink for an updated kitchen

I received an updated version of the sink that could be mounted with or without a reveal. This is a real bonus if you want to wait to the last minute to decide how you want the sink to look. This is a high quality sink at a reasonable price.
