Very sturdy and expensive looking

I reserched high and low for a simple, yet durable sink faucet to upgrade our kitchen. Very happy with this model as I did not want an open spring look on the faucet neck. My husband installed and it's been a game changer. I will say that it has been about a year and we recently had some trouble with the button sticking, which changes the stream from spray to normal. I am contacting the manufacturer to see if this can be resolved.

Terrible purchase

I purchased this and many other faucets from Ferguson and build.com. I purchased this On January 10 this year and it it already leaking. Unfortunately Build will do nothing for me they referred me to the manufacturer.

The faucet delivered quickly (as most items from build.com do). Aesthetically the faucet looks very nice and the unit itself feels heavy (as in well made with quality materials). I’ve not had this long enough to comment on durability, but it works out of the box and looks nice. I have installed different kitchen faucets and I can tell you that this one was easier than the others. There were fewer parts to fuss over, primarily because the hot and cold hoses are already attached internally. All you have to do is connect them to the valves. You may have to buy an adapter if your valve is not 3/8". Mine are 1/2", so I had to buy adapters. This type of faucet has the water hose permanently at full extension. There is no hose under the sink other than to supply water. What I mean is that other faucets are shorter because their non-water-supply hoses extend under the sink. Those shorter faucets can be removed from their "holders," and as you extend them, the hose under the sink follows. Once installed, it's straightforward and intuitive to operate. Whether you are turning the water on/off or hot/cold or switching between shower spray and bubble stream, you can expect smooth, low-force motion. Easy installation, perfect function, and parts that feel high-quality make for a good product. If you like how it looks, I can recommend this without reservations.

Let me start by saying that I had this faucet for quite some time before I was actually able to install it. The monstrosity that was in our kitchen (a 32" tall gangly piece of ridiculousness - think commercial kitchen faucet) was a true pain in the butt to remove. We worked on it off and on for days before realizing that it was beyond our scope. We called a plumber to come in just to remove the old faucet. I was still determined to install the new one myself. It took him an hour and he had to completely disassemble the old faucet and then ultimately cut it out of the sink/countertop. Seriously. Ridiculous. That said, I had the new fabulous Elkay faucet installed in 10 minutes. I kid you not. It is a beautiful, quality piece of craftsmanship. All parts are metal, no flimsy plastic to be found. The installation was a breeze. If you can get your old faucet out, you can install this one yourself - I guarantee it! It looks fantastic and works perfectly. No leaks, no noise. Simple, straightforward operation and a clean, simple, classy design. I'm a huge fan. Highly recommend!

This Elkay Avado Single Hole Kitchen Faucet has a chrome finish that shines and is easy to clean. The flexible water feed line unhooks for hand washing pots and pans, I like this better than models with a pull out hose thats often falls out of the faucet head. This faucet is tall so be sure it will work for your needs. It fits single hole sinks but also includes a cover plate for 3 hole sinks if needed. Water flow pattern is adjustable with controls of spray head. Update: I was disappointed to find some of the mounting hardware was missing, I'll try contacting Elkay to see if they'll ship the missing hardware.

This is the first Elkay kitchen faucet that I have seen. I know they make great sinks. Well,they also make a great faucets. This faucet is top quality ,and you should have no problems with it. I expect it will last a long time. The faucet looks great,and cleans up really nice. Everything works really smoothly. Installation went as expected,and took about 1 hour. I highly recommend this product.

Elkay has here another really, *really* nice faucet. I picked out both this as well as one with more handle range of motion to evaluate, and I must say, I prefer the model that allows for the full rotation. I think it's entirely subjective, but it feels "stuck" where the other does not. As with other chrome Elkay products, there is some issue with fingerprinting and spotting on the metal elements. It isn't terrible, and the chrome *is* really pretty, but just for reference, it seems a bit worse than competitors (e.g. Grohe's Starlight chrome). All in all, I am very pleased with this -- from design to quality of execution, this leaves nothing to be desired.

Ended up using this on a garage sink, worked well up against the wall since we didn't have room for a traditional handle. Went in easy enough, used the included estecheuon plate since the old faucet had two holes. Pretty simple install, works well. This doesn't have a pull down sprayer, but the main arc is pretty controllable and can move it around, but it doesn't have any give to it, so you can't pull it down closer to the bottom of the sink. Two buttons on the spray head, one switches it to a spray from a jet, the other pauses the flow.

I am glad to see Elkay enter into the plumbing fixtures market as I have had several of their sinks and found them to be top quality. This semi-professional style spring neck faucet is a nice match to their sinks line. The lever operates from straight up to a 90 forward tilt. This allows it to function even within close proximity to a backsplash behind the faucet. The lever operates very smoothly due to the ceramic valves. It has a very nice feel to it. The spring coiled neck and spray head give a nice amount of flexibility and reach. It isn't as much compared to pull down versions that have longer hoses, but it can be left in the free moving position during heavy use with the arm bar rotated to the side. This is a different approach compared to pull down spray heads which don't function well when left in the pulled out position. 4 solid stars for a quality fixture.
